"Your actions are against humanity, and you will be sent to the gallows!" someone in the crowd shouted angrily, but it only earned a mocking response from the man in uniform.
"Before I am hanged, you will die a more miserable death in front of me."
"What are we supposed to fight with? Our fists or our teeth? That's unfair to us women!" A young woman in an OL uniform, wearing white high heels and black stockings, shouted. Only a woman who was meticulous and strong in every aspect could quickly change her mindset and start enjoying the game.
"The weapons are inside the isolated island. There are armories, underground shelters, weapon shops, and construction factories. You need to dig like moles to find weapons suitable for you," the man in uniform said, waving his hand grandly. "There are also thirteen enhancement serums on the island. For those who don't know what the enhancement serums do, I can only explain that they are the broad road from hell to heaven!"
"Alright, we've arrived at the isolated island. Now we will start dropping the participants. Enjoy your journey!" As the man in uniform gestured, the rear door of the cabin opened, and a cold draft immediately rushed in, messing up everyone's hair and making their clothes flap.
An armed black-clad man pulled open a nearby container, revealing a pile of portable parachutes.
"You can't be serious, you want us to jump down?" The crowd instinctively moved backward, trying to stay away from the opening.
Chuci looked up at the man in uniform, suddenly noticing a cruel glint in his eyes. He immediately felt a chill, put away his computer, and was the first to squeeze out.
Sure enough, just as Chuci grabbed the first parachute, the man in uniform said something that sparked a wave of curses.
"By the way, half of the parachutes have a small malfunction. You won't die from the fall, but it won't be pleasant."
Damn!
Chuci cursed inwardly, grabbed another parachute, and without waiting for the armed black-clad man to stop him, he was the first to jump out!
"Oh, it looks like one unlucky person won't land safely," the man in uniform laughed maliciously. "If your heart doesn't get smashed, you still count."
Everyone cursed the man in uniform with the deepest hatred, rushing toward the container, fighting, pushing, and shoving. Some tried to grab two or three parachutes, but were beaten back by the armed black-clad men. Others tried to push people near the opening, but were forcibly pushed away. Regardless of whether they held on tightly or not, they were thrown out with a parachute.
Most people jumped, but a few who were too afraid to jump were forcibly strapped with parachutes and thrown out, like dumplings being tossed into the air.
The parachutes were not as scarce as the man in uniform had said. After all, the game had just begun, and the organizers did not want a large number of casualties at the start.
But Chuci couldn't see any of this. As the first to jump, he clenched his teeth, letting Deep Red take over his body. He tied on two parachutes, one in front and one behind, and reloaded his military pack into the symbiotic insect. Even if it might be restricted, he had to ensure his safe landing first.
The green isolated island grew larger in Chuci's pupils, and the blue ocean's edge was almost out of sight. The brief ten seconds felt like a nightmare, making his heart pound and his chest expand to the limit, almost suffocating him.
Just as Chuci thought he was about to die, Deep Red finally determined the optimal distance to open the parachute. He pulled the cord, and with a bang, the parachute opened, abruptly slowing his rapid descent and then descending steadily.
"Status report: North wind, wind speed 4.6 m/s, 860 meters above the ground," Deep Red's voice echoed directly in Chuci's mind.
"How long until landing?" Chuci, regaining his composure, looked up, his sharp eyes focusing on the panicked participants. They flailed their arms, they were at a loss, some opened their parachutes thinking they had escaped, others screamed in panic, not realizing that death was already upon them.
"Two minutes."
"Enough!" Chuci suddenly burst with intense killing intent, an M4A1 appearing in his hand.
"Dawn Full Function Alpha, activate." "Auto Pickup, activate."
Chuci maintained the descent trajectory of the parachute, raised his hands, and aimed at the head of a participant several dozen meters away.
"Goodbye!"
Chuci whispered, pulled the trigger, and a clear gunshot echoed in the sky.
"Bang bang bang"
"Snap~" The unlucky person's head exploded, a cruel and beautiful blood flower blooming in the air, as if celebrating the start of the killing game!
Perhaps it was the resentment of the dying person, a drop of blood flew to Chuci's right eye, hindering his hunt for the next target. As Chuci wiped away the blood, the man in uniform's angry voice echoed in the sky.
"Man with a gun, stop your actions immediately, or you will be considered to have violated the rules and will be shot!"
A line of armed black-clad men stood at the opening, some already aiming at Chuci with sniper rifles.
"Tch, putting on a show." Chuci sneered, seeing the other participants frantically pulling their parachutes to escape the effective range. He put away his gun, temporarily obeying the order, and slightly squinted his eyes. Chuci could clearly feel a fresh heart appear in his symbiotic insect space.
A few seconds later, as Chuci entered the 500-meter range of the isolated island, he heard the main god's prompt.
"Entering the competition scene, space equipment is restricted. Please make efforts to kill enemies to unlock space equipment." At the same time, Chuci found that he had lost the sense of his symbiotic insect, though it was still on his left arm, it felt like a useless parasite, visible but untouchable.
"What a joke." Chuci muttered, casually saying, "Unlock all items, activate." In the next second, Chuci regained the sense of his symbiotic insect space.
Time was short. Since he couldn't strike first, he decided to observe the battlefield for the next few days.
The isolated island was shaped like a gourd, and the vegetation was not as lush as it appeared from the plane. Chuci deliberately remembered some more barren areas, which might have been places where humans had settled. Additionally, the west side of the island was a barren beach, with rocks being washed by the waves, not looking like a good harbor. A few hundred meters away, the cliffs by the shore had been cleared by the organizers, but the traces of artificial cultivation were still visible.
Chuci quickly scanned the area and began to make a forced landing.
In fact, many books mentioned that the best place to land in a forest was a mistake. Even with a parachute, the average landing speed is 6-8 m/s, which is quite fast. If you land in a forest with poor visibility, you can easily be injured by branches, and in severe cases, be maimed or killed by sharp branches.
The best landing spot should have two characteristics: open and soft. An open area not only allows the parachutist to land safely but also helps to dissipate the impact by rolling. Softness prevents soft tissue injuries, and grass is the best, but it's not a big deal if there isn't any.
Chuci's inertia from the jump carried him toward the center of the island, and it was too late to adjust. Therefore, Deep Red gave him two suitable landing spots: a stream and a shrub.
"I choose the stream." Chuci looked at the distribution of the others and decisively chose a direction with fewer people.
Deep Red immediately took over, using the parachute to land in another direction. With a thud, Chuci curled into a ball, trying to distribute the impact force to his entire body, and plunged into the stream.
Splash! Chuci pressed his hand on a smooth, round rock and used his arm to pull himself out of the water, gasping for breath on the large rock.
"Spit!" Chuci spat out a mouthful of blood, took out a small mirror to check his mouth, and saw a fingernail-sized cut on his lower lip, with salty blood continuously oozing out. "What bad luck, I even hit a pebble."
Chuci didn't know that he was actually quite lucky. One idiot landed in the forest, and a branch as thick as an infant's arm pierced his eye, immediately eliminating him from the game. A few minutes later, another group of participants even cheerfully took his body and removed his heart.
In the next five minutes, Chuci changed his clothes, ate a few chocolate bars, and originally planned to drink some natural stream water, but seeing the many small fish and shrimp in the water, he feared diarrhea, so he took out a can of cola, drank it, and threw it away. Before throwing it, he buried a tripwire mine under the can, hoping some idiot would try to move it.
Before moving on, Chuci took out a signal receiver and tied it to his right hand, then pulled out various explosives and mines one by one, burying them along the stream. With the auto-pickup cheat, he could still get loot from killing people from a distance, so the more, the better.
"I wonder where those guys are? I hope I don't run into them too early." Chuci was slightly worried. If he had a day, he could create a home field, but in a direct confrontation, Chuci might not be a match for these experienced participants.
Chuci's luck was good, and his sense of direction was decent. After walking and stopping for over two hours, he finally reached the end, a lake about a few acres in size.
Crouching in a shrub, he took out a military binocular to observe the surrounding areas of the lake, focusing on the birds and animals to see if anyone was hiding.
Only after confirming it was safe did his tense nerves relax. The walk and the mine-laying had not only drained his physical strength but also his mental energy.
The time on his combat watch had not been adjusted. He pulled out a straight knife and stuck it in the ground, estimating it was around 10 a.m. based on the length of the shadow. The exact time would have to wait until he captured the organizers' surveillance system and hacked into the network.
Climbing up a tree that three people could barely encircle, he sat on a thick branch, took out a bottle of homemade salt water to replenish his fluids and salt, and then carefully stored it back in the symbiotic insect space.
The next step was to expand his home field and wait for the prey to come.
