"Go start the motor, and you go open the door. Shout when it's open wide enough."

"OK, I'm going now."

"Wait!" David Drayton knew no one was listening to him, but to avoid danger, he tried to dissuade them, "You completely disregard his safety, making him risk his life for that unimportant motor?"

David Drayton was about to speak but was stopped by the four-eyed clerk: "Everyone is confused and scared, fear dominates their hearts. They try everything they can to solve what they can do, to boost their confidence and give themselves courage. So your persuasion is useless."

"Are you ready?"

"OK!" Norm took a breath and nodded firmly.

David Drayton suddenly said, "Norm, don't do this, it's not right."

Norm turned and looked at David Drayton, then turned back with disdain, cursing, "Coward!" Then, with Merrill's start, Norm pressed the switch, and the basement roller door slowly opened.

When the roller door opened to about half a meter high, Norm squatted down, waved his hand at the thick fog outside, and shouted, "Stop!" The roller door remained at half a meter high.

Several people nervously peered through the half-meter gap, but the thick fog prevented them from seeing even a meter ahead.

Chen Yihan ran to the corner in three steps, punched the glass of the fire extinguisher cabinet, shattering it, and a small piece of glass embedded in his hand.
