"Unscrupulous merchants always come up with so many gimmicks, like Double 11 and Double 12. There are repeated number days every month. Why don't you have a promotion every month? You make a fortune, but you've exhausted us, the delivery guys."

At noon, a young man in a work uniform walked into the warehouse, threw a package onto a pile of packages, and then found a spot against the wall that looked slightly less dirty and leaned against it to sit down.

This young man is named Sun Yang, who is 28 years old. He is an orphan because his parents died in a plane accident 12 years ago, leaving him only a house, some savings, and a meager compensation from the airline. Life in China is not worth much, and these funds allowed Sun Yang to finish high school. As for college, Sun Yang had already given up on it because, although he could get into college, his savings would be drained by the high tuition fees. Moreover, with so many college graduates, employment was not guaranteed. It was better to face reality and enter society early.

After graduating from high school and obtaining his ID card, Sun Yang left his hometown and worked various jobs. He had carried bricks on construction sites, worked in factory workshops, and helped in restaurant kitchens. In the six years since high school, Sun Yang had held four or five jobs. Now he is a courier.

These days, it's the special Chinese "Hand剁Hand Festival" (a play on words for shopping festivals), and the couriers are suffering. The workload is ten times what it usually is. Sun Yang has been busy for two days. Since morning, he hasn't had a moment to rest. Only during lunchtime did he have a chance to take a break. Although his stomach was already rumbling, Sun Yang was too tired to move. He just wanted to rest well and then buy a pancake on the way to continue his deliveries in the afternoon.

Sitting on the ground, Sun Yang took out his smartphone, which he bought for a few hundred yuan, and opened the music player to listen to his favorite Western music. This wasn't Sun Yang being pretentious; he simply couldn't stand the soft and weak music of Chinese singers, which he felt lacked any power. Sun Yang liked to listen to Western rock bands. Although his grades weren't top-notch in school, his English improved through listening to lyrics.

Listening to the energetic music, Sun Yang's eyelids started to droop. He was too tired. He comforted himself, "It's okay, just a few minutes of rest, a little break will do."

Unfortunately, Sun Yang was too exhausted. As soon as he closed his eyes, he fell into a deep sleep. Hunger couldn't resist the attack of sleep. However, Sun Yang didn't know that his life was about to change with this nap.

In outer space, a car-sized object was rapidly approaching Earth, faster than any meteorite, and too fast for any satellite to capture. The object quickly entered the atmosphere and headed straight for the ground. If someone could calculate the landing point, it would be the warehouse where Sun Yang was sleeping, and more precisely, the corner where he was sleeping.

The object quickly descended but did not collide or explode. It transformed into a beam of light and entered Sun Yang's body. Sun Yang, still in deep sleep, was unaware of this. His body slowly dissolved like a bubble and disappeared from the world.

"Hmm~ I slept so well... Oh no, I have to deliver packages."

When Sun Yang woke up from his dream, he immediately remembered that he had forgotten about his work. He must have slept for a long time. If he overslept for a few hours, he would be marked as absent.

Sun Yang hurriedly pulled back the blanket and got up. Wait? Pull back the blanket? Sun Yang looked at the blanket in his hand. Wasn't this his blanket from home? How did it end up in the warehouse?

Warehouse? Sun Yang looked around. This didn't look like a warehouse at all. Everything was so familiar. This was the home he had been trying to avoid since he left. This home held too much happiness for him, but every time he felt that happiness, he couldn't help but think of his parents.

Wasn't he in a warehouse far from home? How did he suddenly return home? Hmm, this must be a dream. He should lie down and wait to wake up.

Sun Yang lay back on the bed and closed his eyes again, trying to wake up. Unfortunately, after a minute, when he opened his eyes, he still saw the familiar ceiling, not the old roof of the warehouse. It seemed he wasn't dreaming. Could he have been reborn? He looked at his hands, which had no calluses. Yes, he must have been reborn.

Thinking this, Sun Yang immediately jumped up and rushed out to find his parents and tell them not to take that flight!

But when he rushed into the living room and saw the two portraits, Sun Yang fell onto the sofa, powerless. Why? Why? Why did he come back here? If he was reborn, why didn't he get a complete family?

Sun Yang pounded the armrest of the sofa, feeling helpless. He didn't know what the purpose of his rebirth was. Was it to make him relive that pain again?

Looking at the calendar on the wall, it was July 3, 2006. He had just graduated from high school and was preparing to look for a job. Why not two years earlier? Was this a favor or a torment from heaven?

"Host, I am not heaven. I am the Life Experience System from the M8754 star system. I came to Earth for unknown reasons. Due to insufficient energy, I could only choose the nearest turning point in your life to transmit to."

Just as Sun Yang was questioning heaven, a voice suddenly appeared in his mind, startling him. He thought he was seeing a ghost, but since he was a fan of web novels, he quickly calmed down after the initial shock.

"What are you? A Life Experience System? Where are you from?"

Sun Yang asked, looking around to see if this was some kind of prank.

"Host, I am the Life Experience System from the M8754 star system. I am now your personal system."

The mechanical, emotionless voice appeared again in Sun Yang's mind, confirming that this wasn't a prank. He had never heard of any high-tech device that could transmit sound directly to the brain, and even if there was, it wouldn't be used to prank him. Unless this world wasn't real, like in The Matrix.

"How did you come to Earth? And how did you become my personal system?"

Sun Yang's fear turned to curiosity. He sat on the sofa and started to ask questions.

"Due to system damage, all previous data has been lost. The system now only has basic functions and knows nothing about its origins. Since you were the nearest intelligent life form after I landed on Earth, I automatically recognized you as my host."

The voice in Sun Yang's mind continued, leaving him speechless. He thought he would be the protagonist, but it turned out to be a matter of luck, like buying a lottery ticket. Had he accumulated great virtue in his past life to have this good fortune?

"What can you do? Why did I return to 2006? Why couldn't I go back to before my parents' accident?"

Sun Yang continued to ask. Since his rebirth was related to the Life Experience System, he wondered why he didn't go back to before his parents' accident, which would have completely changed his life.

"Due to excessive energy consumption in the universe, the system's remaining energy is insufficient. Time travel is very energy-intensive, so I could only find the nearest turning point in your life to jump to."

The Life Experience System explained, leaving Sun Yang confused. He didn't think he had any turning points after high school. The only major turning point in his life was his parents' accident. If he wanted to change his life, he should have gone back to that time.

"Are you mistaken? I don't know of any turning points in my life. Was it going to college? My grades weren't outstanding, and even if I went to college, I would probably just be a clerk."

Sun Yang asked, racking his brain to think of any turning points he could seize.

"The turning point will come to you. Please be patient, host."

The Life Experience System didn't give a direct answer, leaving Sun Yang puzzled.

"What should I call you?"

Sun Yang wasn't overly curious. Since he was reborn, he decided to take a few days off. He regretted not memorizing a few lottery numbers back then, which would have made his life worry-free.

"Host can redefine the name of the Life Experience System. The system is a personal system, and the host has the highest authority."

This answer satisfied Sun Yang. It seemed to be an AI program. Since that was the case, he needed to give it a convenient name and change its voice. The mechanical voice was annoying, like reading with a translator, one word at a time.

"Alright, from now on, your code name will be Zero. You also need to change your voice. How about the voice of a news anchor? It's formal, but it sounds pleasant."

Sun Yang immediately made the changes. Zero was a random name he chose, and the voice he selected was the familiar voice of a Chinese news anchor, a voice that could last forever.

"Understood, host. Zero has been adjusted."

When the voice in Sun Yang's mind appeared again, it had changed. Sun Yang wanted to add a BGM to it, "Ding ding, ding ding ding ding" (the familiar 7:00 PM news theme).
