Staring at the three characters for "prosecutor," Lin Yifan stood there for a long time without answering the call.

Just then, the front door was pushed open, and a tall, blonde East European woman in a black military uniform appeared in Lin Yifan's room.

The East European woman lowered her hand, and the phone in her hand was still lit. It was clear that the prosecutor who had called Lin Yifan was the woman standing before him.

"Come in and talk. I've been waiting for you for a long time." The East European woman turned and walked into the room, and the black stockings that extended past her knees formed a perfect domain.

Lin Yifan glanced back at the maid Sophia, who only nodded without saying much, clearly indicating that the prosecutor's identity was genuine.

Entering the room alone, the East European woman was sitting on the sofa with her legs crossed, and she lit a cigarette. "Want a smoke?"

"No, thanks. You... look familiar, like I've seen you somewhere before." Lin Yifan stared at the prosecutor, not because he was infatuated, but because she did look familiar.

The prosecutor didn't mind, and with a dignified expression, she extended her hand. "Hello, Warden. I am the prosecutor responsible for the new recruit area. You find me familiar? Maybe I'm a celebrity in your parallel universe, but that's not relevant. Allow me to introduce myself, I'm Natalia."

"Lin Yifan."

After shaking hands, Lin Yifan sat down opposite the East European woman.

"Here's the thing. I heard today that the mayor appointed a new warden, so I came over specially. Listen, others might have issues with you not being a native, but I don't care that you're from another dimension. I support the mayor's decision;轮回者 should be managed by 轮回者."

Lin Yifan crossed his arms and stared at the East European beauty, sensing that she wasn't here to cozy up to him. Lin Yifan didn't like beating around the bush and asked directly, "What's the real reason you're here?"

The East European woman snapped her fingers, her lips curling slightly. "I'll be straightforward. The prison in the new recruit area I'm responsible for is almost full. These 轮回者 are like locusts, almost overcrowding my detention center."

"Overcrowded?" Lin Yifan was curious about what crimes these 轮回者 had committed.

"Attacking Infinite City law enforcement, defrauding new recruits, coercing natives, etc."

Lin Yifan's lips twitched. These outsiders indeed became lawless once they arrived, as he had experienced today. Especially since 轮回者 were used to acting without restraint in the story worlds, they were a real headache in Infinite City.

"Your point is, you want to transfer the prisoners to me?"

The blonde woman blew the smoke towards her face, her eyes gleaming with cunning. "Exactly."

"Wait, I remember that prisoners from Infinite City don't have to be accepted by me as the warden, right?" Lin Yifan suddenly thought of this!

When Lin Yifan reviewed the prison's income statements, he had also read some of the prison rules. The prison he managed was a special prison independent of Infinite City, and no one except the mayor could order him around.

"You..." The beautiful prosecutor, who thought Lin Yifan would be easy to manipulate, was taken aback.

She had her own agenda, planning to visit before other prosecutors to take advantage of Lin Yifan's newness and offload the troublesome prisoners to him.

But she didn't expect Lin Yifan to have read the rules and not fall for her tricks.

If Lin Yifan didn't know the rules, he would have been easily intimidated by Natalia's prosecutor status.

But when she mentioned Area 13, it was clear that there were other prosecutors.

The prosecutor pursed her lips, wanting to lash out but needing his help, so she suppressed her anger. "Please, Warden, these 轮回者 don't fear us, and our power is limited. We can only detain them for a day at most."

Knowing that the prosecutor had no leverage over him, Lin Yifan remained calm. It wasn't that he didn't want to help, but his prison was in such a state that it didn't even have a cafeteria!

What would the prisoners eat? Instant noodles! If it weren't for the property, he, the warden, might have to eat instant noodles with the prisoners.

The prison was also in poor condition; a prisoner with a bit of strength could kick open the prison door and beat up Lin Yifan, which would be embarrassing.

It wasn't that Lin Yifan didn't want to help, but he lacked the capability to handle more prisoners.

This also made Lin Yifan realize that if he continued like this, he would be in trouble when the system asked him to catch a stronger prisoner.

He had initially planned to take it easy, but it seemed that being a warden in Infinite City wasn't an easy job.

At this moment, the beautiful prosecutor clenched her fists, seeing that Lin Yifan was unmoved. She seemed to be hesitating. After a while, she finally gathered the courage and sat down next to Lin Yifan.

"Please, I can't handle so many prisoners, and they are organized. They can easily use ransom to get them out of my custody."

The prosecutor handed a cigarette to Lin Yifan, trying to be charming but awkward in her movements, making Lin Yifan unsure whether to laugh or cry.

"Have a smoke, come on, let me light it for you..." The prosecutor fumbled with the lighter, failing to light it after several attempts.

Staring at Natalia's trembling hands, Lin Yifan could clearly feel the heat radiating from her. The dignified and mature image of the prosecutor was completely shattered.

At this moment, Lin Yifan's phone rang again.

Lin Yifan picked up his phone and glanced at it. This time, it was another "prosecutor" calling, but he saw clearly that it was the prosecutor from Area 12.

The prosecutor next to him, who was trying to light Lin Yifan's cigarette, was taken aback. She snatched the phone and hung up without a word, muttering, "Old fox, good thing I got here first."

"Oh?"

"Nothing... nothing, I mean, ignore him." The prosecutor smiled awkwardly, waving her hands and shaking her head.

Lin Yifan pretended not to hear and didn't mention the prosecutor from Area 12.

The phone rang again, and this time Lin Yifan only saw the word "prosecutor" before Natalia hung up.

"Give me ten seconds!" Natalia snatched the phone, put it in offline mode, and then threw it back to Lin Yifan. "Now we can talk without interruptions."

Lin Yifan coughed, a smile playing on his face. "Natalia, what you're saying is a bit..."

"Ah!"

Natalia, who had lost her composure, had a few strands of hair falling from her bun, her golden hair hanging over her forehead, ruining her dignified image.

Standing up, Natalia waved her hands, looking anxious. "I won't do that, and I won't do anything with you because of this, and I won't sell my dignity!"

"What, what's this and that?" Lin Yifan teased.

"That thing, the thing I'm asking for, and the thing I won't do with you!" Natalia was almost in tears, her tongue tied.

Lin Yifan tried to suppress his laughter, feeling that Natalia was a bit naive. As a prosecutor in the new recruit area, her position was likely not high, and despite her mature appearance, she seemed quite inexperienced in many ways.

However, out of respect, Lin Yifan didn't mention the poor state of the prison, where the doors could be kicked open by a ghost transformation, and there were no surveillance cameras or guards.

But since Natalia had humbled herself so much, Lin Yifan couldn't refuse.

After some thought, he realized he couldn't just sit around and wait to die. He needed to do something to survive.

Looking up at the almost crying Natalia, her chest heaving, her face red, and her eyes filled with委屈, Lin Yifan almost burst out laughing.

"Alright, alright, I just started today and am not ready to accept prisoners. But, beautiful prosecutor, you seem to really hate those 轮回者?"

Being called beautiful, Natalia's face turned red, feeling teased but not daring to speak. She glared at Lin Yifan, suppressing her anger. "Hmph, they are so arrogant, they don't take me seriously. To them, I'm just... just..."

"A blow-up doll?"

Unable to bear it, Natalia lowered her voice. "Hmph! Do you see me that way too? You're so vulgar."

"Me? I think you're cute, isn't that a good thing?" Lin Yifan didn't mean it as a compliment; he was genuinely amused by the dignified and mature prosecutor being so flustered over the prisoner issue.

"Cute? I'm sorry, Warden, but I find that insulting! How can I be... cute? Be serious, no laughing, be serious!"

Natalia was furious. Lin Yifan had a half-smile on his face, and anyone could see he was struggling not to laugh.

Unable to hold back, Natalia finally burst out. "Enough! Give me an answer, or I... I..."

"What will you do?" Lin Yifan teased.

"I'll... stay here until you agree!"

Natalia sat down, her legs spread on the floor, refusing to leave.

Lin Yifan remained calm, whistling as if she weren't there, and started to undress in front of Natalia.

"What are you doing?" Natalia scowled, glaring at Lin Yifan.

"Nothing, just undressing to take a shower." As he spoke, Lin Yifan had already taken off his shirt.

"No!"

Unfazed by the prosecutor's scolding, Lin Yifan continued undressing. "Why not?"

"You... you!" Natalia was trembling with anger. When had she ever begged someone, and when had she ever been humiliated like this?

Lin Yifan, now down to his boxers, stretched and paused at the bathroom door. "Give me a few days. I need some time to prepare."
