After getting back on the road and making a few phone calls, Ferren confirmed his suspicions. The letter sequence had no other meaning; it was simply a conversion of alphabetical positions. The message was straightforward: 2.4.7.13, representing the arrival times of the uniformed patrol, the riot squad, the main force, and the flying tiger team, respectively.

"Damn, they know the police deployment so well. Looks like someone is planning a big heist!" Ferren muttered, but he couldn't report this directly to his superiors. First, he lacked evidence, and second, he couldn't explain the origin of the B.D.G.M. message clearly.

After some thought, Ferren decided to proceed with the original plan to go to the pet food factory in Yuen Long. As for the potential case, he was unsure what the other party would do after losing the sniper. Would they continue or abandon the plan? No one could predict. With so little information, he could only take it one step at a time and see how things unfolded.

Upon arriving at the pet food factory, everyone had already left for the day. However, Ferren, who owned over 90% of the factory, was the actual boss and had the key.

Entering the factory, Ferren made his way to the area where meat was steamed, disinfected, and cut. Seeing the piles of unprocessed cow and sheep bones and meat, Ferren reflected on how much better pets ate now compared to when he hadn't entered the cycle space.

Ferren put on plastic gloves, took out the packages of the foreigner's body parts from his hidden ring, and dumped them into the cutting and disinfection machine. He then found a fire pot, threw the bags that had contained the body parts into it, and set them on fire. He called the production manager, instructing him to gather the workers and work until noon the next day, with an additional half-month's salary as overtime pay.

The manager, pleased with the generous overtime pay, readily agreed. After hanging up, Ferren added a few more sheep legs and cow bones to the machine, mixed them with the body parts, and turned on the machine. He watched as the foreigner's body parts were cut into strips, then into small pieces, mixed with the cow and sheep meat, and finally steamed until thoroughly cooked.

After finishing, Ferren threw the plastic gloves into the fire pot and burned them. Soon, the production manager arrived with a group of workers. Ferren casually threw out 20,000 Hong Kong dollars, saying it was for the workers' midnight snack, and that the overtime pay would be issued separately.

The workers, who had never met Ferren, the big boss behind the scenes, were impressed by his generosity and quickly forgot their complaints about being called back to work.

After the minced meat from the body parts was mixed with cow and sheep meat and other ingredients like starch, pressed into granules, and packed into boxes, Ferren instructed the manager, "Load these boxes of dog food onto my car!"

"No problem!" the manager nodded and bowed, quickly instructing a few workers to help.

Once the boxes were loaded, the manager escorted Ferren to his car and asked, "Boss, so much dog food? It would take four or five dogs three months to finish. What do you need so much for?"

Ferren, unfazed by the sudden question, replied calmly, "I'm planning to go shark fishing. A friend told me that dog food is great for chumming the water, so I'll give it a try!"

"Shark fishing?!" The manager was taken aback but quickly recovered, flattering Ferren, "Boss, you're brilliant! Our dog food is so good that even humans can eat it; it will definitely attract sharks!" He then closed the car door for Ferren.

Ferren nodded slightly and drove off.

The next morning, Ferren didn't receive a call from Xie Yixin, meaning he didn't have to work overtime and could attend Little Li's mother's birthday party. However, just as he was about to leave, Zhong Weiming from the Complaints Department called, asking him to come in.

"Sir Zhong, am I being complained about again?"

"What do you think?" Zhong Weiming felt a bit sorry for Ferren. This rising star in the police force was not only good at solving cases but also received complaints frequently. In a week, he had already faced two complaints, and from his interactions with Madam Ling, it seemed there might be more complaints that the department head didn't know about. "PI Ferren, I might as well tell you, this time a city celebrity came to complain about you personally. It's going to be troublesome, so be prepared!"

Ferren's eyes narrowed. "Could it be someone surnamed Ma?"

"What Ma? The complainant is surnamed Bei, a socialite. Think about where you might have offended her! I'll hang up now."

Even after Zhong Weiming hung up, Ferren couldn't recall when he had offended a woman surnamed Bei.

Driving to the Complaints Department, Ferren was surprised to see Liu Rongxiu, the young girl. He immediately realized the woman surnamed Bei must be her mother.

Liu Rongxiu saw Ferren and called out hesitantly, "Big Brother Fei!"

Ferren didn't respond, just nodding slightly.

At that moment, a woman in her early forties, dressed in elegant and expensive attire, carrying a Gucci handbag, walked out of the complaint room with Madam Ling. She was as proud as a hen who had just laid an egg, not even glancing at Ferren. She walked to Liu Rongxiu, took her hand, and said, "Xiu Xiu, let's go!"

Liu Rongxiu stopped, pointing at Ferren, "Mom, this is Big Brother Fei who saved me!"

The woman paused, glaring at Ferren as if about to explode. Madam Ling, who had read the report from the female police officer, was already biased towards Ferren. Before the woman could speak, she stepped in, "PI Ferren, this is Ms. Bei Yingqing. She is complaining about your improper conduct that put Liu Rongxiu in danger!"

Liu Rongxiu was almost speechless, throwing her hands up, "Mom, how can you be like this?"

Ferren was speechless, rolling his eyes and sneering, "Ms. Bei, it seems that like mother, like daughter. Your skills in distorting the truth are equally impressive!"

Ms. Bei Yingqing's eyes widened. "Madam Ling, did you hear what he said? I want to sue him for defamation!"

Madam Ling, who had been in charge of the Complaints Department for over two years, felt a rare sense of difficulty.

Ferren took out his phone, smirking, "I'm not defaming anyone. Don't believe me? Listen!" He pressed the play button, and the young girl's words from that night played out.

Liu Rongxiu, hearing her own words, was mortified, wishing she could find a hole to hide in. However, her mother, Ms. Bei Yingqing, was unfazed, smirking, "What kind of evidence is this? The court doesn't accept recordings as evidence."

Ferren glanced at her, "That depends on the situation and whether the jury believes it. Why don't we both sue each other for defamation and see who wins?" He checked his watch, looked through his phone's contact list, and called Wilson.

Ms. Bei Yingqing, who had intended to mock Ferren for being a mere police officer without the means to fight a lawsuit, was stunned. The Breguet classic platinum men's watch on Ferren's wrist was undoubtedly genuine, worth at least six million Hong Kong dollars. Someone who could afford such a watch would certainly be able to pay for a lawyer.

"Wilson, where are you?"

"Boss, the contract is signed, all as you instructed. I just landed and am already in Tsing Yi. I should be able to reach your place in an hour!"

"Skip my place. Come directly to where I work. I have a case for you to handle." Ferren hung up without waiting for Wilson's response.

Ms. Bei Yingqing, realizing the situation, sneered, "So, you're really going to sue my daughter? I'll be ready for your lawyer's letter!" She then pulled Liu Rongxiu, who was hesitating, and left.

Liu Rongxiu, torn, called out hesitantly, "Big Brother Fei!" but ultimately followed her mother.

Ferren didn't take the matter seriously, turning to Madam Ling with a wicked smile, "Madam, how do you plan to handle this complaint?"

Madam Ling glared at him, "By the book!"

"Thanks a lot. I'll be off, you have a busy day!" Ferren was about to leave when Zhong Weiming, who had been listening from behind the complaint room door, stepped out.

"PI Ferren, don't leave yet. You need to write a report to corroborate the female officer's report."

"Ah? But I have an urgent matter!" Ferren was speechless.

"This report is crucial for your record. A bad record will make it hard to get promoted," Zhong Weiming emphasized.

Ferren didn't really care about his rank as a police officer. He just wanted to use the title to impress his father, who was obsessed with promotions, and he didn't rely on his police salary to live. He hesitated, thinking about how to express his indifference to promotions.

Madam Ling, seeing his hesitation, assumed he had a real emergency and said, "Weiming, don't rush the complaint process. A misjudgment could be bad. PI Ferren, you can submit your report to the Complaints Department by the end of the day on Monday."

Zhong Weiming was taken aback but quickly agreed, "Alright, since you say so, let's do it that way!"

Ferren saluted Madam Ling, "Thank you, Madam!" Just as he was about to leave, Wilson arrived.

Wilson nodded slightly at Madam Ling, ignoring Zhong Weiming, and asked Ferren, "Boss, what case do you need me to handle?"

Ferren, ignoring the others, took out a data cable, copied the recording from his modified phone to a USB drive, and handed it to Wilson, "Listen to it when you get home, then send a lawyer's letter to Ms. Bei Yingqing!" He then walked away.

Wilson also left the headquarters. Zhong Weiming, stunned, asked, "Madam, did I just see the former Queen's Counsel, Wilson?"

Madam Ling sighed, "You didn't see wrong!" She was annoyed that Ferren had given her more trouble on her day off, preventing her from getting her beauty sleep and forcing her to come to headquarters to handle Ms. Bei Yingqing's complaint.

Ferren, driving his Ferrari, turned onto Wong Chuk Hang Road. A Mercedes S600 was blocking his way, and even after honking several times, it didn't move, making him quite angry. When he entered the narrow mountain road in Deep Water Bay, overtaking became impossible.

Unexpectedly, as he approached Li's residence, the S600 stopped, and Ferren had to stop as well.

Ms. Bei Yingqing and her daughter got out of the car. Liu Rongxiu tried to pull her mother away, but Ms. Bei Yingqing, looking fierce, came to Ferren's car and shouted, "Sir Ferren, you've been following us all the way here. What's the meaning of this?"

(PS: Starting today, the acknowledgment list will be posted before the first update of the day.)

(PS: I had a scare these past two days. My father's company health check revealed something in his lungs, and we went to several major hospitals for CT scans. It turned out to be pneumonia. Phew~)
