Previously, I missed sending Chapter 483. When I later tried to make up for it, I made an operational error and labeled the chapter as Chapter 258, "The Great Catastrophe." That chapter was not a reissue, so please don't misunderstand.

Due to my mistake, I have caused inconvenience to everyone, and I sincerely apologize. I will post this chapter in the related works section. Thank you all for your continued support.

Chapter 483: Temporary Team Formation

After Wu Yi received the highest council's summoning mission, he discovered that the mission required the轮回者s (reincarnators) to form a temporary team. A full team of twelve members was needed to enter the Dark World together, which would count as completing the mission.

This was a requirement set by the mission's sponsor. If the reincarnators did not form a team to enter the Dark World, it would not count as completing the mission. Wu Yi speculated that this might be because the human faction did not want their reincarnators to be picked off one by one.

Wu Yi frowned deeply as he looked at this requirement. Yue'er, seeing his expression, asked curiously, "Brother Wu Yi, is there something strange about this mission requirement?"

Wu Yi explained, "You haven't been to the Dark World, so you don't know the situation there. Before I left, only a few fallen ones appeared in the human faction's territory, and the demon projections were just holding their own territories."

"But now, the highest council requires reincarnators from the second realm to form a team of twelve to enter the Dark World and complete the summoning mission."

"This probably means that the situation in the Dark World is very bad. The highest council has to make this requirement to ensure the safety of the reincarnators, to prevent them from being picked off one by one by the enemies of the fallen faction."

"Remember, after we accept the summoning mission, our entry point should be in the heart of the human faction's territory, such as human settlements, but there is still a certain level of danger."

"From this, we can infer that the human faction is likely being pressed, and they are at a disadvantage even on their own territory. The Demon Moon is also about to erupt, and when it does, the mutated demon projections will launch a siege on human settlements, making the situation even worse."

Yue'er was surprised and said, "The situation will become so dire? Brother Wu Yi, you haven't been away from the Dark World for more than a month, right?"

Wu Yi replied, "I hope I'm just being overly worried, but we must be prepared for the worst and mentally prepare for the difficulties and dangers we might encounter, so we don't get caught off guard."

Yue'er nodded firmly and said, "Yes, I will protect myself. I believe that after this period of reinforcement, Brother Wu Yi will be able to sweep through the reincarnators of the second realm. Maybe you can turn the tide."

Wu Yi, without any arrogance, shook his head and said, "The strong in the Dark World are much more powerful than me. I can't even see through the strength of people like Kaysa. I'm content just being able to protect you and some companions."

Seeing Wu Yi's serious expression, Yue'er realized that he was under a lot of pressure for this trip. She didn't continue the topic and instead asked, "So, Brother Wu Yi, do we need to form a temporary team? It seems a bit troublesome to team up with people we don't know. We don't seem to be short of 20,000 points, right?"

Wu Yi patted Yue'er's little head and said, "Even a small amount of meat is still meat. 20,000 points is not a small amount, and it's a reward that can be obtained with minimal effort. We must get it."

"Moreover, forming a temporary team with strangers is not a bad thing. We can take the opportunity to understand the situation of the reincarnators in the second realm, get a feel for their strength, and blend in to observe the situation. If something happens, we will have room to maneuver."

After hearing Wu Yi's words, Yue'er didn't say much more. She followed Wu Yi to a corner of the mission hall.

The highest council's summoning mission had set up a gathering area in the mission hall. As long as one accepted the summoning mission, they could go to the gathering area. Once a team of twelve people was formed, the mission requirements would be activated, and they could be directly teleported into the Dark World.

On the way to the gathering area, Wu Yi whispered to Yue'er, "Let's change our appearance first. We'll pretend to be gunners. We'll let our temporary teammates take the lead, and we'll just shoot from behind."

After hearing Wu Yi's words, Yue'er seemed to think of something fun and showed a slight mischievous smile, biting her lips with her small fangs, looking very cute and charming.

Wu Yi and Yue'er dressed up as a pair of gunners and went to the designated gathering area for the summoning mission. At this point, nine reincarnators were already in the area, either standing or sitting, all of whom had accepted the summoning mission and were forming a temporary team.

These nine people had various professions, including a mage with a staff, a warrior with metal knuckles, and a robust bull-headed warrior with a giant axe. Each of them had a steady demeanor and an impressive presence.

After a brief observation, Wu Yi found that among these nine people, there seemed to be two small groups. One was a group of four, consisting of two men and two women. The two men were a shield warrior in heavy armor and a white-clothed swordsman with a giant sword, looking handsome and powerful.

The other two women in this group of four were also top-notch in both appearance and physique. One was a charming female mage in a red robe, with a split that reached her thighs, indicating a rather open personality.

The other woman wore a spotless white robe and held a white ivory staff, with a fresh and natural demeanor, likely a priest. This group of four had a solid combination of warrior, mage, and priest, looking confident and ready to tackle a dungeon and fight a boss.

In stark contrast to this group of four was a team of three men, including the bull-headed warrior. His two companions were a barbarian warrior and a gray giant wielding a massive chain hammer. These three men had reinforced their alien bloodlines and were all formidable warriors. A charge from them would be hard to stop, making their team quite powerful. However, due to the lack of ranged and support roles, they were not as flexible as the group of four.

These two small groups seemed to have some animosity towards each other, which was evident from their confrontational stance. This confirmed Wu Yi's observation of their group compositions.

The other two were lone wolves: a middle-aged warrior and a pale young man in black tight-fitting clothes, who seemed very isolated. Both stood silently on the side, appearing calm and cold, and somewhat out of place with the others. It was also possible that the original two small groups were somewhat wary of other strangers.

This temporary team seemed to lack ranged roles. The addition of Wu Yi and Yue'er, two 'gunners,' filled this gap but also made the situation of the temporary team more complex.
