“I’ve really bet on Sima You Yue?” the shepherd boy looked glumly at Sima You Yang, “Can I change it back?”

Sima You Yang kept his fan, tapped the shepherd boy’s head and said, “Once bought, the deal is done, you can’t change it back! ”

“But, but I don’t want to bet on him.” said the shepherd boy.

“Too bad, these are the rules.” Sima You Yang said nonchalantly, “Believe me kid, you’ve placed your bet on the winning team.”

“Yeah, shepherd boy, once bought, the deal is done, you can’t change it back.” said an onlooker.

“Oh alright.” The shepherd boy left the table, disappointed.

“Is there anyone who wants to place their bets?” Sima You Yang called again.

Again, someone bet on Sima You Yue. At the very last moment still there wereonly two people who had placed their bets on Sima You Yue,

“Seriously, this is freely giving me money, how could I accept this!” Sima You Yang said rather bashfully.

Hehad other people from the Sima clan watch over the money as hesauntered over to the battleground. “You Yue, everyone says you won’twin, there are over two hundred people here and only two people bet onyou. One of the two even bet unintentionally on you! You can’t let themdown!” Sima You Yang shouted across to You Yue.

Everyone who was there was stunned. Look at the smile on his face, where was the worry of paying for his loss?

SimaYou Yue and Li Mu had already noticed that he had been dealing for thebets, so both of them didn’t say anything about it, but waited for themto place their bets.

Upon hearing that only two people had placed their bets on Sima You Yue, Li Mu smiled smugly.

“This time, you not only want to lose, you also want to pay a big sum of money! Hahah——”

SimaYou Yue dug her ears and said, “It’s not the end till it ends, you haveno reason to be smug! I’m just waiting for you to call me big brother!”

“Hmph, big talk!” Li Mu said icily.

Thehost who was also invited at the last minute said “Today, Li Mu fromthe Alchemy Guild and Sima You Yue from the Sima clan are here tocompete, and everyone here is invited to witness this event. If Li Muloses, Sima You Yue loses, he will be at Li Mu’s disposal, and the Simaclan is not to intervene. If Sima You Yue wins, Li Mu must call Sima YouYue big brother in the future.”

“Woah——”

The audience gasped, he actually dared to get someone from the Alchemy Guild to call him big brother, he must be really gutsy!”

“How do they plan to compete?” the audience asked.

“Bymaking the same grade four pill, whose level is higher, and does itfaster, will win.” said the host,” Because its starting to get late, everyone only gets one chance!”

“Start. ” As soon as the host saidstart, Li Mu pulled out his immortality pill oven, and a tableful ofherbs. Upon seeing Sima You Yue still motionless, he said mockingly ”Surely you have your own herbs? If you don’t even have your own herbs,we won’t even need to compete.”

Sima You Yue rolled her eyes, took out her pill oven and herbs and quickly set everything up.

Allthe alchemists who were watching the compet.i.tion, saw how fluid hermovements were and were stunned. They never thought that she’d be thisfamiliar this the procedures, she might even be a rank four alchemist.

Thelittle old man happened to be flying across dragon picture island, andjust flew down to watch. He was drawn to Sima You Yue’s technique in aninstance, secretly descended at the top of the mountain, and quietlywatched her compete.

Making the pills were pretty simple for her,all the steps were as easy as pie for her, even when she was done, Li Muwasn’t finished.

“cough——” she coughed, tapped the oven and agrade four pill came flying out. She caught it and the strong aroma ofherbs wafted around the entire field.

“What a rich smell ofherbs!” Everyone at the field closed their eyes to fully take in thewonderful scent. The people who knew their herbs there said ” This richsmell, these herbs are of good quality. These should be rank fourquality herbs.”

“I never thought he’d have completed it soquickly, and produced good quality herbs as well, it definitely isn’teasy!” Someone exclaimed.

“So, Li Mu lost?” The audience thoughtthat Li Mu would win because he started alchemy earlier than Sima YouYue, but she had finished making the pill earlier than he had and makinghim the victor!

“Pfttttt——”

When Li Mu saw that Sima YouYue was done with concocting the pill, he panicked, and he wasdistracted from the fire and wasted a perfectly good pill in the making.

“Helost, what a waste of perfectly good herbs.” Sima You Yue shook hishead and sighed, since you weren’t able to produce the pills, this time, you lose.”

The expression on Li Mu’s face was hard to read, he never thought he’d lose!

“You were never a ranked four alchemist to begin with!”” Li Mu glared at the pill in Sima You Yue’s hands.

Ifhe was a ranked four alchemist, no matter how good his skills were,he’d never be able to produce the grade four pills in such a shortamount of time!

Sima You Yue smiled and said “I never said I was aranked four alchemist, I only said to compete making the grade fourpill only because you knew how to make it. So when you see me in thefuture, call me big brother, got it? Little brother?”

“You…”

“Don’tyou go back on your word!” Sima You Yue cut in, “There are so manywitnesses here today, you can’t be a sore loser! You’d better acceptyour loss!”

With that, she turned and left the battlegrounds. Sheleft the island along with the Bei Gong Tang, and went back to the campside near the little lake.

Only after awhile, did the crowd startto react, he really beat Li Mu. Also, from his words, he wasn’t justsome level four alchemist, she was an alchemist with a rather high rank!

“A twenty two year old alchemist, with a rank higher than Li Mu’s! How fascinating!” someone shouted in surprise.

“Exactly, this talent, even if it was the younger generation of the Alchemist Guild, they

couldn’t necessarily beat him!”

“Aiya, my goodness!”

“You punk, keep quiet!”

“We’ve lost all our money!”

“Seriously, I bet on Li Mu winning!”

“Me too, this is a huge loss!”

“We’ve all bet on Li Mu’s victory, only the two that bet on that rascal Sima You Yue won.

Look, they’re over there collecting money!”

Everyonelooked at the table, surely, the shepherd boy and the middle aged manwere standing at the table, collecting their payments

“Haha, Inever thought I’d win so many gold coins back!” the shepherd boy happilysaid as he held the coins up against the setting sun, “Thankfully I betwrongly just now. If not, I wouldn’t get so many coins back!”

The other man weighed a coin in his hand and said, delighted “I have rent to pay for the next two days!”

“I already said our You Yue would win, see? You didn’t suffer any loss, did you?” Sima You Yang said smugly.

“Yep, I didn’t think he was so skilled!” the shepherd boy said happily as he counted the coins in his hands.

Theaudience roared with laughter, they had never expected this outcome, that they money that they bet would be lost, never to come back everagain.

The little old man stood on the hill, still reeling fromSima You Yue’s performance. His eyes were s.h.i.+ning and an idea wasforming in his mind.
