Chapter 3: The invitation (Part 1)

The next day, I went to the castle town.
It was crowded with people and full of life.
This alone told me that this town was a good place to live.
The fact that there was a place for people to gather and that it was lively proved that the people I saw were happy.
With this in mind, I checked the signs posted at the entrance of the building where the store was located.
I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to read the words, but I was relieved to find that I could read them without any problem.
I was more than a little grateful to that self-proclaimed God.
And even though I don’t know how I came to be able to read, the fact that I have never lost the ability to read was probably because I recognized these as letters and thought I could read them.
This was the reason why I’ve never been able to read the words on the signboard, but I couldn’t find the word “guild” on it.
In a different world with swords and sorcery, a guild would be something close to a kind of longing.
“Adventurer’s Guild… Adventurer’s Guild… Adventurer’s Guild…”
“What’s the matter, boy, are you looking for the Adventurer’s Guild?”
“Yes. Yes, but I can’t find anything like it.”
“Of course not, kiddo. There’s no way there’s an adventurer’s guild in this town. There are adventurer’s guilds in the four corners of this city, east, west, north, south, and west, so go there.”
“Oh, thank you very much.”
As I mumbled to myself while looking at the signs, a kind man told me the location of the Adventurer’s Guild.
He told me about it and I understood that it was like the agricultural cooperative in Japan.
There was no way they would be hunting demonic beasts or hunting beasts in a city like this, it would basically be outside the city.
If that was the case, it would be more convenient to have it outside the city.
And above all, it was a big gain to know that there was an adventurer’s guild.

“Excuse me, I’d like to register.”
“You’re new, aren’t you? Do you have a silver coin to pay for the registration fee?”
I was shocked to hear those words.
If I had thought about it normally, I would have known that money was required for new registration.
The fact that I didn’t even think of it must have been because I was more excited with the thought of arriving in another world.
I felt like a child on a field trip. It was embarrassing.
“No, I don’t have one.”
“I understand. Then how about a temporary registration? This temporary registration allows you to receive requests at the same rank as when you first registered as an adventurer, F. However, you will not receive any money until your reward exceeds one silver coin. After you have earned one silver coin, you will become an adventurer, but your rank will be F. What do you think?”
I had no other choice, so I agreed.

“Yes, it is indeed five bunches of Medicine herbs. We will give you one copper coin. The next one is a red bear that has been properly bled, gutted, and cleaned, and it comes with a head. 7 gold coins, but if you’re not a registered hunter, Claude, we’ll deduct the fee, and you can buy it for a total of 6 gold coins, 7 silver coins, 7 small silver coins, 6 copper coins, and 7 small copper coins.”
“Thank you very much.”
“That’s barely seven copper coins, Claude-kun. If you’re so skilled, you should have hunted and raised funds and then registered into the guild.”
“Oh, that’s true, but thanks to that, I can meet you many times like this, so now I think I wasn’t wrong at that time.”
“Oh, what a sweet mouth. You’re saying the same thing to other women anyway?”
“That’s not true. I only said to you, Ciel-san “
“Oh, I guess I’ll believe you.”
