Intercepting the Boyfriend When he Was Young

Chapter 2.1

Everyone was silent for a second before Zhang He’s voice bursted out, “What are you doing now? Are you looking to die?! Are you still planning on having class or not?!”

“I’m sorry teacher,” Jiang Huaian quickly stood up, “I was wrong, I promise I will not make another sound! I will be as though I have died in class. Even the sound of breathing will disappear!”

“Shut up and sit down!”

For an unknown reason, perhaps it was due to a lack of patience, Zhang He did not let the other party do anything but just had him sit down.

Xia Jiujiu’s head was bumped, bumping her until she was dizzy and her eyes were twirling. She lifted her head and covered her nose, not saying a word. When the bell signaling the end of class rang, the other party took out a tissue in a panic and handed it to Xia Jiujiu, “Classmate, are you alright?”

Xia Jiujiu answered back with a nasally voice. Jiang Huaian’s heart trembled from her soft voice, feeling as if there was an invisible hand pulling at his heart. He did not show it on his face, still appearing anxious and enthusiastic. Upon seeing Jiang Huaian’s expression, the boy sitting behind Xia Jiujiu began to smile uncontrollably again. Xia Jiujiu rolled up the tissue and stuffed it into her nostril, then looked at the person facing her. The person facing her looked as though they were apologetic and his silhouette was a bit similar to Jiang Huaian. It’s just that Jiang Huaian always wore glasses and looked decent and graceful. She could not connect the two together in the slightest when compared to this brickhead with a ruffian’s face. However, no matter what, when facing this person that was similar to Jiang Huaian, Xia Jiujiu was also unable to get angry. She also did not want to pursue this accident. Expressionlessly, she turned her head around, then lowered her head, and began studying.

Jiang Huaian also did not plan to sleep anymore after he had woken up this time. He sized up this serious looking girl, held his chin, and lazily said, “Classmate, are you my new deskmate? What about my old deskmate?”

Xia Jiujiu did not say anything with her head lowered, looking at the math textbook. Raising her head, she pointed to the front. Jiang Huaian looked towards the direction her finger was pointing to and saw Wu Yi sitting on the desk beside the podium, sleeping soundly.

The corner of Jiang Huaian’s eyes twitched. Feeling a bit embarrassed, he quickly turned his head back around. Looking towards the boy sitting behind Xia Jiujiu and playing a game, he said, “Song Zhe, how come he went up there?”

This was quite a bit like “How did he get in?”. This type of Jiang Hu¹ tone, Xia Jiujiu couldn’t help but glance at Jiang Haian. The other party also did not look at her. Looking again from the side, Xia Jiujiu felt that the person in front seemed like Jiang Huaian a little more.

¹TN: Think of this like the western equivalent of the ‘wild west’.

But how was that possible?

Her family’s Jiang Huaian had good grades, had a good temper, was warm, timid, and was extremely destitute.

Thus Xia Jiujiu quickly shook her head, feeling that something must be wrong with her head. She was missing Jiang Huaian too much.

For two consecutive lessons, Xia Jiujiu did not say a word to Jiang Huaian. After Jiang Huaian chatted with Song Zhe for a while, he fell right asleep. When school had let out, Song Zhe patted Jiang Huaian’s shoulder and said, “Get up. I’m heading back home first, it’s my mom’s birthday today.”

Jiang Huaian murmured “um” sound, stood up, and stretched. Then, he saw Xia Jiujiu packing up her bag beside him.

Her statue did not reach his shoulders, looking like a small little thing, but her school bag was huge. Jiang Huaian watched as she pulled up her bag. The entire bag was bulging and looked very heavy. From the outer appearance, it did not look like books because there were sharp corners and edges that stuck out. He kept feeling like it was a little strange and couldn’t help but look over, “What is inside your school bag?”

The male had a refreshing citrus smell on him, very similar to what Jiang Huaian had once liked. Xia Jiujiu was startled and looked at him in alert, “What are you doing?”

“Nothing,” Jiang Huaian straightened up and pulled some distance between them, making Xia Jiujiu feel a lot more comfortable. He crossed his arms in front of his chest, leaned against the wall, and said with a smile, “I just saw that your school bag was bulging this much so I wanted to ask what it had. Such a heavy weight, why don’t I help you carry it back?”

Hearing this, Xia Jiujiu’s impression of him became better, feeling that this person was actually quite good.

Her thoughts all changed into her expression. Like a small animal, she thought her thoughts were deeply concealed but in actuality, everyone all knew what she was thinking. Jiang Huaian held down his smile as he watched Xia Jiujiu think left and right.

Xia Jiujiu planned to go find Jiang Huaian but right now, she had no idea where to start. Looking at this classmate that she had gotten to know first and had shown her goodwill, she decided to begin with the other party.

“Actually…there is one thing I want to do.”

“Hm?” Jiang Huaian raised an eyebrow. He didn’t understand why the little girl suddenly mentioned this but his curiosity made him especially patient. He softened his expression, sat down, patted the stool, and said, “Come, have a seat and talk. Tell me what difficulties you have. As your deskmate, I will help you out.”

This person was really good!

Xia Jiujiu immediately felt that her natural luck had been activated. She sat down, looked at Jiang Huaian, and said seriously, “Do you know someone by the name of Jiang Huaian?”

Hearing this, Jiang Huaian raised an eyebrow.

“What are you looking for him for?”
