“Diya.” Sirius ended his subordinate’s ‘rude interjection’ and turned to say to Nalun: “I prepared a quiet and secluded onsen. I hear it has a pretty good healing effect towards sprains and strains. We can soak in it together later.”
This onsen party… As the Honored Prince, Nalun naturally couldn’t share a soak in the onsen with the collective mass. Royal members always had some strange rules they followed.
However, Nalun still felt his heart sink. A shared bath?
Could it be, he noticed something?
Greyish-green eyes spinning in a half circle, he looked Sirius in the eyes and said: “Very regrettable. My companions are waiting for me halfway up the mountain. There’s a gathering there. This is also the true reason why I appeared here.”
Sirius: “A gathering?”
Nalun gave a fake smile: “That’s right. Therefore, I cannot attend your onsen party.”
An activity such as soaking in the onsen, which required stripping, didn’t suit him either.
The smile on Diya’s face slowly faded. This onsen party had invited a lot of aristocratic youths of the Imperial Capital. Yet this guy, Nalun, specifically picked the same day to hold a gathering. This was bound to cause some people, who had originally agreed to attend the party, to go to his gathering instead.
Then Sirius’s plan……
He secretly glanced at his friend to the side. He discovered that the other’s eyes were calm, without any ripples; his azure eyes were like a deep pool of water, making it hard for people to tell if he was happy or angry.
Sirius: “How regrettable indeed.”
Nalun: “I also feel that way.”
The false, pretentious atmosphere between the two practically felt like it was about to take on physical form. In the end, it was the impatient Alida who shattered the deadlock again.
“Nalun, let’s go. Madam Hill and Miss Betty have both arrived.” He waved the personal comp in his hand, eyes shining with a frightening wolf-like light.
Diya blew a whistle: “Wah, the beauties of the Empire.”
Unlike Sirius’s onsen party for ‘youths’, Nalun invited many famous ladies of status to his gathering.
Nalun was very well aware of Sirius’s goal.
He chose to hold a gathering on the same day… to decline, but also to challenge as well. Although this was in accordance with the two of them’s inharmonious setting, he didn’t plan to make himself seem overly deliberate. To avoid any abnormalities from being discovered, the people he invited included both men and women.
The most important part here was, in order to prevent Sirius from using the process of elimination to narrow his search, Nalun also invited plenty of the male guests who had attended the Princess’s birthday party.
Alida felt extremely pleased with this: “Compared to soaking in the water with a bunch of naked guys, I’m much more interested in appreciating the view of beautiful women.”
Diya: “They know how to use pretty feathered fans to cover their faces, while using picky, sharp words to quietly critique guys. Then on the second day, everyone in the entire Imperial Capital will know which so-and-so in the party did what hilariously stupid thing. In comparison, I’d rather not become the center of attention.”
Alida was speechless.
Nalun coolly glanced at his utterly defeated companion and said quietly: “Just think about your little underclassman.” Skirt-chasing idiot.
Alida fell silent again. He finally said reluctantly: “He’s a liar. I was tricked.”
Diya: “Liar?”
Under Diya’s bright shiny eyes, Nalun promptly stopped his companion from voluntarily exposing himself to gossip, and said farewell to Sirius, who was silently standing to the side.
“Have fun.” Sirius didn’t try to stop him. Turning around, he pulled out a card from his vice-admiral’s pocket: “The onsen party is right at the foot of the mountain. If you happen to gain interest, you’re welcome anytime.”
The gold-rimmed card remained extended in the air for a moment. Nalun slowly reached out, pinched it between two fingers, and accepted the card.
After the two people walked far away, the Imperial Admiral let out an extremely quiet and heavy sigh.
Diya leaned in to listen, and instantly felt his hackles raise.
“Charvey…… is really a big problem.”
When Nalun arrived at the courtyard, it was already very lively inside.
Elegant orchestral music floated gently in the air. Simple, light fragrance dispersed with the breeze. Luxuriously dressed men and women were currently chatting and joking together. The big and tall Alida swiftly locked onto the view of a young girl with pale-gold long hair, who was amongst the crowd.
“Nalun, Nalun! Look!”
Nalun: “……”
Alida was very excited: “Miss Betty is still so adorable and enchanting… Madam Hill is also blinding with her beauty. Speak truthfully, which kind of woman do you like better?”
The Honored Prince, who had no interest in discussing such a pointless topic, indifferently ignored this question.
Alida was persistent however.
Nalun can only say expressionlessly: “One is only a 15 year old underaged girl. The other is a distinguished widow over the age of 40. In comparison……” He patted his friend’s shoulder and suggested honestly: “Perhaps the little underclassman is more suitable for you.”
“……”
Alida stopped talking.
Nalun said: “Do you still remember the plan I told you last time?”
The sulky big brunette raised his eyes: “I remember, why?”
Nalun: “Now’s the time. You call the person over and take this card……” He pulled out the card Sirius handed him personally not long ago. Then he leaned over to whisper some instructions.
After Alida finished listening, he energetically paced back and forth, asking: “Will this really work?”
Nalun patted his shoulder and said profoundly: “That depends mainly on the person doing this. I trust in your judgment and entrust this matter completely onto you. Remember don’t expose yourself. If people discover you, my hands would be too tied to help you.”
Alida nodded his head excitedly: “Okay. I’ll go do it now!”
–The big guy, who didn’t notice that he basically accepted all responsibility here, was extremely high spirited.
A plan that can bring misfortune to Sirius!
At the foot of LuoRi mountain, the onsen clubhouse.
A little lolita with golden hair and a puffy dress stood on her tiptoes and handed over the invitation in her hands to the guard at the door.
“Can I go in?”
The door guard, who verified the invitation card, hesitated somewhat: “But…… the Admiral-daren only invited male guests.”
The entire clubhouse was booked. A group of gruffy, big guys were bathing. Then, enters a pure and innocent little girl…… this image really challenged one’s sense of propriety.
Ilia blinked her big, innocent eyes: “But I’m only a kid.”
–But kids were even more dangerous.
When encountering the other’s pure and innocent smile, the dirty thoughts of an adult instantly shattered to dust. The door guard silently repented as he revealed a kind smile.
“Alright. I will have someone bring you inside.”
Ilia picked up the hem of her dress and gave a polite lady’s bow: “Everything will be fine. I only want to go in and taste the desserts. And plus, I have the invitation card.”
Really, such a cute and well-behaved child.
The door guard felt more reassured.
Halfway up LuoRi mountain, the private courtyard.
“What? The Admiral is holding an onsen party, right at the foot of the mountain!”
“Then what are we still doing here?”
“I hear he only invited male guests.”
“Why? I also want to go……”
“Shhh. Don’t forget we’re still at the Honored Prince’s banquet.”
Noisily chitchatting, the female guests of the banquet engaged in full discussion, occasionally letting out raised cries of shock.
Amongst them, the daughter of a General, who was normally well known for being ‘bold and daring’, suggested: “I’ve gone to the onsen clubhouse at the foot of the mountain before. They are most famous for their outdoor onsen. We’re halfway up the mountain. They’re at the foot of the mountain. If we look down, perhaps we can see……”
The end of her sentence was drowned out by the group’s bashful shrieks.
The General’s daughter silently pulled out her personal comp and started typing in it.
“Mona, what are you doing?” Someone asked curiously.
This spirited young woman raised her head and gave a smile: “I hear that no matter what, marvels always happen in livestreams.”
“……”
