Outwardly, Nalun seemed to dislike placing himself in the same environment as the public and was a very low-profiled person. In reality, he was someone who cared very much about public opinion. Regarding being reduced to the entire Empire’s topic of conversation, and in a not very good light, he was actually not very happy.

“Who would care about these?” Nalun scoffed in reply.

His skyrocketing fury was almost enough to drown people.

Sirius touched the tip of his nose and decided to speak cautiously.

How come he has never noticed previously? This person’s duplicity had already reached a whole different realm.

Nalun closed the irritating personal comp: “Was I supposed to be hurt because of this?”

Sirius can only agree: “No way.”

“Do these people believe this is the truth?”

Sirius shook his head: “It’s not the truth.”

Nalun interlaced his fingers together and said with a cold face: “They’re so easily fooled and don’t even know it. Why should I bother with these innocent, naive individuals?”

Sirius surreptitiously patted Nalun’s head: “Don’t bother.”

Nalun fell silent.

He felt the gentle force on the top of his head and turned to look at the culprit. He discovered the other was also looking back at him seriously, almost like no matter what he said, the other would unconditionally echo in agreement.

A second later, Nalun suddenly said: “……I want to use the Empire’s smelly ores to block up all three of Lan Jia orifices.”

“En……” Sirius paused: “Block up?”

Yes. Block up.

Make that many mouthed, deceitful Bug pay the price for fanning the flames!

The vengeful Honored Prince can even maintain a calm and tranquil manner while he’s up to mischief. He requested to see the Mist Bug once after the other was arrested and brought to justice.

The Admiral nodded his head: “Of course you can.”

Answering so quickly?

Nalun stared at him.

“Why look at me like that?” Sirius smiled: “It’s a reasonable request.”

Reasonable?

Before Nalun cleared himself of suspicions, all the people working for the justice department should think of ways to stop him right?

Nalun lowered his head and examined the silver ornaments on the collar of Sirius’s military uniform. He abruptly discovered that the two of them were in an overly intimate position.

Coughing, he pretended to be curious and asked about the button that could separate the seats.

Sirius said softly: “Nalun.”

The Honored Prince, who was called on, looked towards him in confusion.

Sirius opened and closed his mouth. After a long time, he said: “It’s nothing. Are you tired?”

This clearly wasn’t what he had wanted to say.

Nalun could feel his hesitation, but he didn’t pursue it.

For the rest of the trip, the two people didn’t talk much. The inside of the car fell into silence.

Not long after returning to the Charvey estate, the notification letter from the courthouse was delivered into Nalun’s hands.

[Open trial]

After seeing these words, on the contrary, Nalun began to relax. Back when he heard of Lan Jia’s escape from jail, he had guessed that the situation would change. Adding in the gush of rumors online, if he didn’t go to open trial, it would clearly be impossible to give the public a proper explanation.

The notification even listed his major questionable areas.

First, the comparison of the body structure of the suspicious individual who rescued the Metal Devouring Bug and his own indicated that the two of them matched 95%.

Didn’t they say that this kind of low accuracy examination result would only be used in consideration?

In addition, the Mist Bug had unintentionally revealed a piece of information: The news of the Honored Prince colluding with the son of the Grand Duke of the Insectoids had long stopped being a secret amongst the Insectoids.

Nalun: “???” How come he, the person involved, didn’t know any of this.

And also, who’s the son of the Grand Duke of the Insectoids?

Apart from this, there were numerous scattered points of suspicions, which made this notification letter seem unusually long. From afar, it looked covered in densely packed words, very terrifying looking.

At the very end, there was even a remark. Regardless of whether Nalun has any connections with the Insectoids, as the person responsible for the Hunting Festival preparation, he more or less had to assume part of the blame for the disaster that occurred during the event.

Nalun read the notification letter repeatedly a few times and scanned it to send to his lawyer. Then he threw it to the side and stopped looking at it. He could actually vaguely feel that the situation has developed beyond expectations……far beyond. However, the only thing that could be done right now was to allow it to continue.

No matter what, this matter has dragged on long enough. It was time to settle it completely.

Whether in bearing the suspicion of theft or the possibility of treason, instead of letting them ferment in the dark, he might as well eliminate them all at once!

“This matter has grown more and more chaotic.” At night, his Majesty the Emperor engaged in a brief call with his old friend: “Should I be doing something?”

Sirius expressed coldly: “Preparing now is already too late.”

His Majesty the Emperor: “…….”

This time, it was really him who didn’t manage the matter well. But what made him feel strange was Sirius’s attitude– Sirius didn’t actually seem indifferent to Nalun’s fate. He seemed to care more than what the Emperor had expected.

After the Emperor spoke a few more words of guilt, he ended the call.

The morning of the next day, Nalun got up bright and early.

Someone from the courthouse has been guarding outside the door even earlier.

In reality, everyone who receives a trial notification has a high possibility of truly committing a felony– They would normally detain the person and bring them back in custody immediately. However, Nalun had a special identity. As the highest ranking suspect within the last 100 years, some courtesy was hard to avoid.

The other person was even a familiar face.

“Nick, we meet again.” Nalun greeted him and received the other’s shocked and humbled smile.

This red haired shortie clearly treated him much better than “Big Beard” in comparison. In his every gesture, tone, and wording, there lacked the sharp, pointedness of when they first met.

When Nalun got into the car, he even curiously used some words to belittle Sirius slightly to test the other man. He discovered that the other had continued to maintain a friendly attitude and couldn’t help but feel a bit amazed.

The time passed in a flash.

He turned his head and looked at the scenery in the surroundings. When the familiar traditional architect appeared within his view once again, Nalun realized that he had reached the destination of this ride.

The courthouse allowed citizens to sit in and observe. The circular auditorium at the center hasn’t been used for many years. Today, however, it’s been organized and tidied. A golden gavel was placed on the long table. The name plates in front of the jury seats were also placed neatly.

The seats of the auditorium were filled with people.

Some were ‘law students’ who came to observe and study. Some were elders who understood the significance behind the re-opening of the circular auditorium. Even more were the curious, melon-eating crowd, who had heard of the rumors online, and had been driven over to seek the truth.

Of course, there were also a portion of the people who didn’t belong to any of these three groups.

The other 12 courtrooms were operating as usual today. The originally arranged time to start the trial has already been delayed 10 minutes to clear the way of individuals blocking the path.

The people, who accompanied friends to observe the trial, very quickly realized that something didn’t seem right.

Someone was very surprised: “So this is actually a large scale courtroom?” He had always thought that the circular auditorium was something like a lounge room.

After hearing his question, the people who studied law started to describe the uniqueness behind this courtroom.

“The cases here all involve crimes that were extremely serious and malignant in nature, or the person involved has a highly respectable position or identity.”

No matter the former or the latter, both were considered an extremely explosive, hot piece of news.

The law students, who originally didn’t plan to change locations, all abandoned the cases they were involved in and decided to listen in on the trial inside the auditorium at the last minute.

This was much more interesting than cases about divorce or thievery. Their teachers wouldn’t blame them!

The first hearing of many years inside the auditorium attracted the attention of many onlookers. A bell rang and a group of judges walked into the jury seats. Gazes landing on the empty defendant seat, they furrowed their brows in unison.

It was already time. The judges have entered the courtroom. However, that royal family member, who’s the suspect of the major crime, was late.

The audience: “……” Although they didn’t know what’s going on, the start already seemed pretty thrilling?

The middle-aged judge at the head seat sat upright and proper without a change in their expression.

Nalun’s lawyer had arrived early and sat in his seat next to the defendant’s position, looking also calm and composed.

Just as the audience held their breaths and waited, a figure appeared in the entrance of the auditorium. Wearing a flowery dress, Princess Shasha swept the crowd with a proud and haughty glance.

Discovering that everyone’s attention was all gathered on her, she smiled smugly and walked towards an observation seat and sat down.

The audience: “……” If they didn’t hear ahead of time, and had a basic understanding of today’s trial, they would have thought that Princess Sahsha had finally infuriated the crowd too much with her troubles and was here to be judged today.

After a wave of complicated emotions, they became even more

interested due to curiosity.

To make the little Princess lower herself to come sit in on the trial, just what kind of existence was Nalun Charvey?

Ten minutes later, the head judge moved slightly, almost like he didn’t plan to continue waiting.

At the same time, a figure appeared in the entrance of the auditorium door once again. Nick, who was in charge of monitoring the Honored Prince and also escorting him to the courtroom, gave his fellow colleagues in the jury seats a bright and splendid smile.

The judges: “……”

The audience: “……”

Fortunately, Nick very quickly moved aside and revealed the person he had blocked outside the door– the Honored Prince.
