Chapter 2

Liu Ben, after learning about the origin of the dimensional trading chip, began his first dimensional trade with great excitement.

"Starting to search for dimensional traders..."

After a long wait, there was finally a "ding."

"Search successful... Level 2 dimensional trader Kipra requests to establish a video call," Xiao Bai's voice came through.

"Allow the video call to be established."

"Hello, Mr. Liu Ben! I'm delighted to be your guide," the light screen changed to show a young figure dressed in a white robe with golden edges, handsome and with Western features, but with long ears.

"Hello, Mr. Kipra! I'm curious, how do you know my name?" Liu Ben was shocked.

"Mr. Liu Ben, as you mentioned, the system prompt will show your level and name. You are currently a Level 0 dimensional trader, which means this is your first time using the dimensional trading device. Once you complete a trade, you will become a Level 1 dimensional trader," Kipra answered with great courtesy.

"Is that so? Then I hope Mr. Kipra will take good care of me in the future." Liu Ben gave him a friendly smile.

"Please don't be so formal. Let me teach you some basics of dimensional trading. Dimensional trading is the most primitive form of trade, which is bartering. To upgrade your level as a dimensional trader, you need to increase the number of trades. As your guide, I will take 0.01% of each of your trades as a reward. Tell me about the dimension you are in."

Liu Ben truthfully described the current state of Earth to Kipra.

"Based on what you said, your dimension is a technological dimension, but it is relatively backward, just a Level 2 technological dimension. Among all dimensions, there are: Immortal dimensions, primitive dimensions, technological dimensions, and magical dimensions. Except for primitive dimensions, all other dimensions are divided into five levels, of course, except for the unique Level 6 technological dimension. Primitive dimensions are privately called resource dimensions by us dimensional traders."

"Really? There are so many intricacies," Liu Ben exclaimed.

"By the way, do you have this kind of thing? I can buy it in large quantities," Kipra took out some white crystal powder and transmitted it through the dimensional trading device.

"Salt?" Liu Ben carefully examined it, then cautiously tasted it with his tongue, puzzled.

"Yes, it's salt. Do you have this in your dimension? How much is the production?" Kipra's eyes were filled with urgency as he saw Liu Ben recognize the salt.

"Yes, we do, but..." Liu Ben noticed Kipra's urgency and thought, "This first deal, it's a go!"

"But what? Just say it directly," Kipra became even more anxious upon hearing the "but."

"But the production of salt in our dimension is not much, and it is very expensive, only the wealthy can afford it. People like me, who are poor, can't buy it," Liu Ben said leisurely.

"I can give you some resources first, please help me acquire some salt."

"I'm curious, why do you need salt so urgently?" Liu Ben was puzzled.

"Ah, with the rapid increase in population, the salt production in our dimension cannot meet the growing demand. Our planet is 89% land and less than 11% ocean and lakes. How can the limited ocean meet the needs of so many people?" Kipra said helplessly.

"Alright, I can get you salt, but you need to give me a satisfactory price."

"What do you need?"

"Do you have gold mines?"

"You asked the right person. Our planet has a lot of land, so it is rich in minerals. Gold mines are very common here, just a regular mineral. Is this the kind you're looking for?" Kipra perked up when Liu Ben asked about gold mines and instantly produced a pigeon egg-sized piece of gold.

"Transmit it to me to take a look," Liu Ben's eyes lit up.

"Good, it is indeed gold. How do you want to trade?"

"1KG of gold for 1KG of salt, how about that?" Kipra carefully watched Liu Ben.

"Earlier, I saw the gold appear suddenly. How did you do that?"

"Oh, you mean the spatial ring, which contains an internal space," Kipra took out an ancient ring with a blue gemstone.

"How much space is inside your ring?"

"This ring is top-tier, with an internal space of 200 cubic meters."

"I can't make a deal without any profit. How about you give me one of your rings as well?"

"This... Alright, my ring is very valuable, but consider it an early investment. I hope you will have good things to make me a fortune in the future," Kipra replied with a pained expression.

"Alright, it's a deal. Transmit the gold to me, and I'll get you the salt," Liu Ben answered cheerfully.

"Wait a moment, I'll get the gold for you," Kipra said and flew off.

"Alright, I've put the gold in the ring and transmitted it to you," Liu Ben waited for about half an hour, and Kipra returned.

Instantly, a spatial ring with a black gemstone was transmitted over.

"How do I use this ring?" Liu Ben carefully examined the ring.

"Just focus your mind on the ring, and your spirit will penetrate into the internal space."

Liu Ben slowly tried to concentrate his mind on the ring, and suddenly, the internal space of the ring appeared before him. Inside was a pile of gold like a small mountain, which made Liu Ben's eyes widen. A poor person, seeing a mountain of gold, couldn't help but be excited. Fortunately, Liu Ben had strong mental control and gradually calmed himself, exiting the ring's space.

"There is one ton of gold inside. Please help me exchange it for one ton of salt," Kipra resumed his initial elegance.

"Alright, I'll contact you once I have enough salt," Liu Ben said with a faint smile.

After cutting off the video call, Liu Ben was filled with excitement. Carrying a ton of gold, was that a joke? He was probably going to be up all night.

As soon as it was slightly light, Liu Ben found a bag, put 5KG of gold inside, and went out with dark circles under his eyes. He needed money to buy salt, so he headed to a gold shop.

In S City, there was a well-known and long-established jewelry store called Shengshi Jewelry. He went straight to the main store in the city center.

"Welcome, sir. How may I assist you?" a woman in a business suit asked.

"Do you buy gold here?" Liu Ben asked.

"May I ask how much gold you want to sell?" the woman asked.

"Quite a bit, 5KG."

"Sorry, sir, the amount is too large for me to handle. Please wait a moment while I get our manager," the woman said, surprised.
