The first few chapters have a lot of rule explanations, please bear with me.

This forest is enormous. Liu Siyi is currently standing at the edge of the forest. The 3D map shows that the other side of the forest stretches endlessly, giving an idea of its vastness. In the other three directions, different terrains and various units can already be seen.

Following the directions of north at the top, south at the bottom, west on the left, and east on the right, directly in front of the forest, which is to the west, about thirty kilometers away, is a group of dwarves. At the northern end, there is an entrance to a valley where a group of ogres exists.

Since Liu Siyi finished meditating, he has understood his current strength, which should be that of a low-level third-tier mage with a basic Wisdom Spell: capable of learning and casting third-tier spells, with a 100-meter range for mastered spellcasting. This means he can only cast up to third-tier spells, and only his mastered lightning spells have a 100-meter range.

However, this has its nuances. The range is not the same as distance, and single-target attack spells like lightning bolts do not have a range. For example, the casting distance of a lightning bolt is about 200 meters, which is the effective attack range. As for the auxiliary acceleration spell, Thunder Speed, once cast, it will boost the speed of friendly units within a 100-meter radius.

To the east is the forest, which still cannot be seen to the end within the reconnaissance range. To the west is a group of dwarves, to the north is a group of ogres, and to the south, the units are weaker, being neutral third-tier demons. These demons are not the demons of the Demon race but a type with a bulky, earth-yellow body, long fangs, and a large wooden club, with only a leaf covering their waist, resembling ugly savages.

The demons have average movement speed, attack power, and defense, but they have a skill: Rapid Regeneration. This is a self-recovery ability, meaning that as long as the demons are not directly killed, they can quickly recover to a perfect state. However, their magic resistance is only average, and Liu Siyi's lightning spells deal significant damage to them.

At greater distances, they are out of range, but Liu Siyi has not yet decided whether to attack the demons.

From the magical vision of the transparent space, the dwarf unit is a mixed force, consisting of dwarf warriors, dwarf bear riders, and dwarf rune elders. Upon seeing this dwarf unit, Liu Siyi immediately understood from the legacy that it is a force led by a hero.

Judging from their movement direction, path, and resource assessment along the way, their goal is the north. If they continue moving, they will encounter the ogres guarding the valley entrance. It is unknown whether their target is the ogres or if it is a chance encounter.

With a hero and various units, it is clear that there must be a dwarf castle to the west. However, based on the scale and strength of this unit, the dwarf castle has not yet reached the top level.

There are no resources on the dwarves' route, or if there are, they are too tough for the dwarves to handle. Liu Siyi does not think he can easily handle them either. He does not plan to go in the direction the dwarves are heading. Since the dwarves are developing the northern area, going there would mean a direct confrontation with the dwarves. It would be better to go south. From the magical vision, within a fifty-kilometer fan-shaped range to the south, there are seven or eight wild units, clearly unexplored territory.

The reason he does not want to confront the dwarves is entirely due to his lack of strength. Liu Siyi, who has just arrived in this world, has no clear understanding of the power he possesses. Moreover, the most important point is that he inherited the legacy of a legendary mage, which belongs to the mage unit. What do mages fear the most? Units with high magic resistance, and dwarves are exactly that. Dwarves not only have strong physical defense but also high magic resistance, making them even harder for mages to deal with than a stinky stone in a latrine.

About ten kilometers to the south is the demon camp, which is quite close.

Of course, the ten kilometers seen in the mind is not the same as walking it, especially on mountain paths, where one often has to detour because there is no road ahead.

Not only that, but this world also has various wild beasts. They are not units and have no evolutionary power, but some can reach the strength of first-tier, second-tier, or even higher units. These wild beasts are essentially the food for the various biological units in this world. Although they are food, they still cause Liu Siyi a lot of trouble.

Tiger Summoning!

A third-tier spell that can summon third-tier neutral tiger units.

As soon as this spell was cast, Liu Siyi immediately felt a small portion of his mental and magical power being drained. At the same time, several large glowing orbs appeared in front of him, gradually taking the shape of tigers, and then the light disappeared, revealing several powerful and robust tigers.

"Roar!" The tiger roars from the several tigers made Liu Siyi, who was nearby, feel a tremor. Even though he knew they were summoned by him and had a faint mental connection with them, it was normal to feel a tremor upon first encountering such fierce beasts.

"One, two, three... a total of eight tigers, how is this calculated?" Through the legacy, Liu Siyi knew that as long as he controlled his mental and magical power, he could adjust the output of mental and magical power when casting spells to control their power. However, he could not yet do this and could only cast spells according to the skill.

This is very different from the game, where one can clearly know the effect of each spell. It can only be gradually understood through trial and error.

The third-tier tigers are very strong, much stronger than the strongest tigers in the original world. Each tiger is at least three meters tall, with a majestic build, and their combat power must be considerable.

However, it is a pity that summoned units have a time limit. Regardless of whether they die or not, they will automatically disappear when the time is up.

With the tigers as mounts, the ride is smooth and comfortable. Most importantly, many terrains that Liu Siyi thought were impassable can be easily crossed with a single leap by the tigers.

While still enjoying the ride on the tigers, the destination was reached. From a distance, Liu Siyi saw a group of strange creatures.

Of course, he could not launch an attack immediately. Summoning the tigers consumed a small portion of his magical power, and without recovery, it was unknown who would be eliminated in the end.

The fifty or so demons, with their hideous faces, a mix of fecal yellow and green, and a large wooden club with spikes, were observed by Liu Siyi from a distance, hiding on a small hill.

This group of demons was not blocking a necessary path but was stationed on a small hill. Liu Siyi could easily bypass them without disturbing them, but he thought of the world's rules.

Killing other creatures allows one to absorb their strength to enhance one's own power. The demons are third-tier units, and he is a mage. Although mages in this world are generally fourth or fifth-tier units, his situation is special. It is unclear whether he is a first-tier unit or a fourth or fifth-tier unit.

If he levels up after this battle, it means he is a first-tier unit. If he does not level up, it means his mage is classified as a fourth or fifth-tier unit by the rules, or possibly a third-tier unit based on his true strength. Another possibility is that as an outsider, he cannot absorb strength and cannot level up...

With his own magical power and eight third-tier tigers, he should be able to defeat them.
