The Hall of Treasures…

“Master Yu, please come inside.”

The manager of the shop, Qin An, enthusiastically greeted him as soon as he stepped into the doors. “Boss said that you are welcome to take any item you want from the hall free of charge. “

A few days ago, Zhao Zhenghao came by and told Qin An that whenever Yu Yuan came by to visit Qin An had to greet him in person.

As long as he spotted something that he wanted, he could take it away immediately.

There would be no need to ask him to pay any spirit stones.

Qin An had worked in the Hall of Treasures for many years and had always been communicating with Zhao Dongsheng when receiving special orders. Only once or twice did the leader of the clan, Zhao Zhenghao, come over to instruct him directly.

How would he dare to neglect Zhao Zhenghao’s direct order?

“No need to be so polite, Mr. Qin.” Yu Yuan smiled and walked inside with Qin An.

After Zhao Zhenghao told him about his special status at the Hall of Treasures, Yu Yuan was interested to come by and see if there was anything that was actually worth him taking away.

Zhao Yafu, who had finally fully refined the dragon spirit would also participate in that event. In trade for Yu Yuan’s care during the trip, the Zhao Clan was willing to “pay” anything.

He felt that even if the Zhao Clan gave him their entire collection, it would still not be enough to compensate him.

After all, helping Zhao Yafu refining that dragon’s spirit took him a large amount of effort and time.

“Our hall has all types of spiritual materials, ores, and artifacts,” While leading Yu Yuan into the display area, he introduced carefully. “I can guarantee you in our city, the Hall of Treasures is the best shop for cultivators. We have the best quality and the highest ranks.”

He bowed and served Yu Yuan like his master, ignoring the other guests in the hall.

After Yu Yuan stepped into the display area, he saw two more people inside.

A beautiful lady wearing a green dress along with an old woman wandering around her side.

When he entered, the girl in green didn’t bother to look back at him. She was focused on studying the items in front of her.

The old woman, however, tilted her head and glanced at him quickly.

That glance made Yu Yuan’s mind pause slightly, making him feel very insecure. He felt that his realm and cultivation level were all exposed from that single glance.

Judging from his prior experience, his sense of insecurity was not simply an illusion.

“Hey manager, are you ignoring us here?” The old woman looked very unpleased with Qin An’s difference in attitudes between them and Yu Yuan. “Are you treating us this way because we are from outside of the city?”

Before Yu Yuan came, Qin An bearly introduced the items in the hall, and after Yu Yuan came, he straight up left them there.

“Forget it, I’m just taking a brief look. Nothing here that I want to buy anyways.” The girl said charmingly.

While she spoke, she still had her back turned toward Yu Yuan and Qin An.

“Alright then.” The old woman went on looking for more items.

Even though her sight was mostly on the displayed weapons and artifacts, she was always extremely close to the girl, following her wherever she went.

Qin An didn’t care much about them either. He continued to introduce every object in detail to Yu Yuan, talking almost endlessly.

Yu Yuan had already seen the two most valuable objects on display here, which were the jade plank and a metal ruler.

Both of which were Spiritual Class weapons, the same class as the Black Dragon Shears that his aunt took away already.

Everything seemed to be not as attractive as these two, mostly fragments or pieces of certain weapons or tools. A few pages of a cultivation method here and several broken pieces from a pot there.

Yu Yuan circled the hall once, eyes glancing quickly from item to item.

He was looking for anything that could help him advance through his realm faster.

It had been almost half a month since the Huang Clan was kicked out of the city, and he just passed the eleventh stage of the Meridian Establishment Realm, and the last meridian could probably soon be opened with another Meridian Extension Pill as well.

Once he got to the twelfth stage of the Meridian Establishment Realm, he would face the first major obstacle in his cultivation journey: pass the Contained Spirit.

Between the first two realms was a difficult barrier that couldn’t be surpassed easily.

Not only did it require a long-term accumulation of energy but also an opportunity or insight.

In his previous life, he devoted all of his efforts to refining medicine and had little experience with the hardships of cultivation.

Therefore, his past life experience helped little with the passing of realms.

Suddenly, he noticed a white paper fan with four clear and large words written on the it: “Extreme Intelligence Can Kill”.

The four black words occupied most of the white space on the fan, making it extremely obvious.

The paper and structure of the fan were all made from ordinary materials.

Even with Yu Yuan’s current knowledge, he could tell that the fan itself was cheaply made.

On the surface, nothing about it seemed to be impressive.

The four words on the fan weren’t well written either, neither elegant nor powerful.

In short, it was not a great fan.

But, Yu Yuan’s sight was glued onto the fan, more precisely, on the words “Extreme Intelligence Can Kill”.

He was still far away from the white paper fan, so he walked straight toward it to take a closer look.

Suddenly, a green figure blocked his vision.

“Only this fan is worth my purchase. Manager, please give me a price.”

The girl wearing green grabbed onto the fan and turned around to look at Qin An while walking toward the exit.

She didn’t seem to care how much the white paper fan cost, since the old woman following her would have enough spirit stones anyways.

“Ehm.”

The moment when she turned around, Yu Yuan felt that the dim Hall of Treasures was suddenly lit up.

With only a startled glance, Yu Yuan didn’t see her face clearly, but he still felt that the girl was extremely beautiful and very temperamental.

Before Yu Yuan could fully react, the girl already took the fan out of the door.

Looking at her back, Yu Yuan’s heart was suddenly filled with sadness.

“An abnormal interpretation.” Yu Yuan murmured to himself.

He knew that the sudden sadness was from the four black words on the fan.

The true power of this white paper fan lies in those four words.

The four words contained a thought of sadness that was difficult to be noticed by ordinary people.

There might be people of high realms and still not interpret such sadness.

He realized that the girl also interpreted it.

“Honored guest, please wait!”

Qin An yelled and blocked the girl’s way before Yu Yuan could stop her,.”Sorry,” he said, “but that fan is reserved by our Hall of Treasure’s VIP, Mr. Yu. You cannot leave with it”

Having years of experience being the manager at the hall, Qin An was a very careful observer.

He noticed that almost as soon as Yu Yuan entered the hall, Yu Yuan’s eyes didn’t leave that white paper fan.

Zhao Zhenghao warned him to treat Yu Yuan especially well.

The ladies were obviously not from the area. Perhaps he wouldn’t meet them ever again in the future.

“Why? I got it first.”

The girl in green still had her back turned to Yu Yuan. She said politely, “Don’t worry, I won’t mind paying extra for things I like.”

“It’s not a matter of price.” Qin An rubbed his hands, bowing with a dry smile. “The owner of the shop had informed me that young master Yu has the right to take any object in the hall as long as he likes it.”

“What kind of privilege is that?” The old woman’s face changed as she stepped close to Qin An.

Qin An was scared by her looks and stepped back subconsciously.

“Miss, you go ahead. Let me take care of this.” The old woman walked out and motioned to her to leave first.

“Stop right there!” Qin An said quietly. “No one is going to buy anything we don’t intend to sell!”

Around the hall and in the backyard, several figures quickly appeared.

In just seconds, the old woman and the young lady were surrounded by servants of the Zhao Clan.

Qin An’s attitude became tougher with the reinforcements supporting him, “Please leave the white paper fan here!”

The old woman was furious, her expression showed that she wanted to teach this man a lesson.

“Wait.” The girl gently raised her hand as if knowing what the old woman was going to do next. “Are you the one from the Yu Clan.”

Yu Yuan nodded.

“Please let me keep the white fan.” The girl said casually. “I am from the Su Clan.”
