Chapter 6 Part 2 - A Very Special Time

Then, I went outside and returned to the meeting place. Instructor Miya hadn’t arrived yet. That’s a relief. It would’ve been a shame to be late after waiting so long.

With this in mind, I started waiting again, and soon…

“Thank you for waiting, Theo-kun.”

The instructor called me out from behind.

I turned around and caught sight of her.

“… Eh?”

I couldn’t believe my eyes.

“Um, Theo-kun…?”

I was dumbfounded by what I saw in front of me.

“D-Does it look weird?”

Instructor Miya looked embarrassed and surprised.

She’s wearing the uniform of the Musketeer’s Training Institute.

It’s the kind of uniform that female trainees wear to make it easier for them to move around, even when they’re working out.

The design was not bad. The blazer and pleated skirt were similar to those worn by most educational institutions.

If I may say so, I was familiar with it since I had seen other girls wearing it many times during my training school days. However, this was the first time I had seen the instructor, because she was already an adult when I met her, wearing such an outfit, and frankly, I was astonished.

“Wh-Why are you dressed like that…? ”

“I got some advice from Sadie. She said, ‘Men like uniforms, so wear this… and go’.”

Sadie-san, you really are…!

“So I pulled out some of my training school stuff and wore it like this… Do I look weird?”

“No, it’s not weird at all. I think it looks good on you.”

I don’t mean to flatter her, but she really looks good. I think she was aware of that time, but her hair was left down instead of being tied back. As usual, she doesn’t wear any heavy make-up, which is always a good thing.

That’s why she feels like a student with natural beauty. I wonder if it’s okay for a twenty-six-year-old to look so good in school uniform. She may be a little clumsy, but that’s fine.

The navy blue knee socks are also a great accent. Her exposed skin between the top of knee-high socks and hemline of skirt is a feast for the eyes.

“R-really? I look good?”

“Yes. You look stunning.”

“I-I’m so glad… I was afraid you’d say it was too much.”

Instructor Miya exhaled with relief. It’s not that it’s too much, it’s just that the uniform looks so good that the people around us don’t even recognize her as the instructor. They seem to think she’s just some female trainee A or something. The passersby who noticed us, would say, “Who’s that girl?”.

“Well then, let’s start the date right away.”

“Ah, wait a minute, Instructor. Actually, I have something to give you.”

“Eh? What is it?”

“Here.”

I took out the wrapped present from my pocket and presented it to the instructor.

While the instructor waited in excitement, I continued.

“Since it’s our first date, I thought I’d give you something to commemorate the occasion.”

“Theo-kun… you really didn’t have to…”

“This is my way of thanking you for everything. Thank you very, very much, instructor. I chose a less bulky item, so please accept it. Of course if you don’t want… I won’t force you.”

“No, I’ll accept it… Thank you very much. I’m very happy.”

The instructor’s eyes narrowed slightly as she took the wrapped package.

“Can I open it? ”

“Of course.”

When I told her so, she began opening the wrapping paper carefully. A ribbon came out, and the moment she saw it, her face lit up.

“Ara, you picked out a ribbon. Is it because of what happened last night?”

“Yes. I hope you like it.”

“It’s hard to dislike it. Give me a minute. I’ll put it on right now.”

The instructor then gathered up her hair and put on the brand new ribbon. The reason for the one-sided updo, instead of the usual ponytail, was that if she put her hair up as usual, there would be a greater chance that she would be noticed as the normal instructor. In other words, the instructor may have wanted to remain as Trainee A during the date.

“What do you think? Do I look good?”

“Yes. You look really cute.”

“Really? Well, it’s all thanks to you, Theo-kun. Thank you so much for this ribbon.”, she said with satisfaction and took my hand.

“So, let’s start the date again, shall we?”

“Have you decided where you want to go? ”

“Yes, today we’re going to the entertainment complex that recently opened on the outskirts of the capital.”

I’ve only heard rumors about it. It was a theme park with so many different facilities that you could easily spend the whole day there. I had always wanted to go there, so I was grateful for her choice.

“It’s too far to walk, so let’s just get a carriage.”

The instructor stopped an empty carriage and we rode into it.

After she told the driver where we were going, the carriage started to move, and the instructor flashed the most cheerful smile on her face I have ever seen.

I’d heard that the instructor had spent a lot of time working out as a student. Perhaps the reason why she honestly wore her school uniform for the date, despite Sadie’s advice, was because she wanted to play around with her school days.

My school days were not so glamorous, except for the time I spent with my instructor. So I decided that today I would enjoy myself to the fullest in return for those dull days.

“Theo-kun, look, we can see it now!”

After a few moments, the instructor happily pointed outside the window.

We were already approaching a theme park with several buildings. I don’t know the exact measurements, but I’m sure it’s pretty big.

“Here we are!”

A few minutes later, we got out of the carriage, which had stopped at the entrance of the theme park, and the instructor, still very excited, pulled me by the arm to enter the theme park.

Once I passed through the gates, I found myself in the middle of the central square where countless people were passing by.

While I was dumbfounded by the number of people, the instructor tugged on my clothes and said.

“Theo-kun, Theo-kun. Why don’t we have a quick bite to eat first?”

“Food huh? I don’t mind.”

“It’s settled. Let’s go to one of the popular sweet shops here first.”

Even though she was not familiar with the latest fashions, Instructor Miya seemed to be following the latest trends as a woman should.

She led me to a popular sweet shop.

“Woah… that’s a crazy line.”

“It’s a popular spot, so it can’t be helped. Let’s line up too.”

So we joined the line. It was around 20 minutes before we entered the store.

“We finally got in… but what should we order? Is there anything that interests you, instructor?”

“It seems that the most popular items are the shiratama and the fresh cream parfait made with milk from Sakudo farms.”

“Then, let’s try each of them then.”

So we ordered the shiratama and the fresh cream parfait, and shortly thereafter, the order arrived. We only have one of each dish as we’re going to share them.

“Then, I’ll start with the white egg.”

The instructor sitting on the other side of me started eating the shiratama. I had the fresh cream parfait. She told me that the whipped cream was made with milk from Sakudo Farm, a favorite of Sharon.

“Hnn… The sweetness of this bean is so delicious. The elasticity of the shiratama is also amazing.”

“This parfait is also good, Instructor. The cream is rich, but the taste is not overpowering.”

“Then let me try that one too.”

The instructor scooped up the parfait with a spoon and popped it into her mouth.

“My god, it really has a rich taste. It’s going to be even better when it’s mixed with the shiratama.”

“Mixing two different dishes is like what children do.”

“Or maybe I’m just young at heart. Let me try mixing it up.”

The instructor then topped the parfait’s whipped cream on top of the white bean paste.

It’s unusual for the instructor to do such a childish thing, I thought. Normally, she would have to keep this kind of thing under control because of her public image. But now that she’s enjoying the student atmosphere as a female trainee A, she feels more relaxed than usual.

“Well then, let’s try it.”

The instructor put the mixed food in her mouth. At that moment, I saw the instructor’s eyes widen, followed by a satisfied look. Apparently, the mixture was a success.

“This is delicious. I want this to be added on their new menu.”

“That much? Then, I’ll try it too.”

So I made the same thing and believed the instructor, then tasted it.

“I see…”

It’s so good on your tongue. I knew it was the best shiratama and whipped cream, but I never knew that if you mixed them together, it would turn out like this. If it was just shiratama and whipped cream, I wouldn’t have this impression. It was the combination of the tasteless bean paste and the white cream that gave the impression of harmony.

Then, when the instructor was about to make and eat the second mixed shiratama-whipped cream combination.

It dropped.

“Ah, what are you doing, instructor?”

“It’s s-safe. It didn’t fall on the floor, it was on my thigh!”

Then she picked up the shiratama and popped it into her mouth.

“… Let’s wipe the cream up before you eat it.”

I stood up with a towel in hand and moved to the instructor’s side. When I looked at her, the whipped cream that was on her skirt and knee-high socks was still there.

“Ah, Theo-kun, you’re going to wipe it off? Please do.”

I was told to wipe it off, but I wondered if it was okay. I’ll just wipe it off then and get it over with.

I tried to wipe the instructor’s skirt. However, as I crouched down and adjusted my eye level, I found myself wiping her thighs.
