For my first post, I'm aware that I'm rushing into it, and there may be some corrections needed in the content, so I kindly ask for your understanding.

From the moment I was born, I had a weak heart and a low immune system, and I was about to end my life without ever stepping out of the sterile room.

My father and mother, who were trying to send me off with a smile even though they wanted to cry because of my selfishness... I was happy... thank you. Ah, my life is ending so easily. I couldn't even walk or run properly, and I always had to rely on others... In the end, I couldn't even be filial to my parents. God... if I could be reborn...

I wish to be born with a body that is strong and won't lose to anything.

I gently closed my eyes... and met my end...

...

[Your wish is granted.]

"Huh!?"

I opened my eyes to the loud voice echoing in my mind, and the light was so bright that I couldn't focus my vision properly.

(What? What's happening? I can't see well, I can't hear well, and my body won't move properly! Why, why! No, I don't want this!)

"Oooh! Oooh!"

"You have a daughter. She's crying loudly, sir."

On this day, I was born anew as "Mary Legaria."

---

A few days later...

As time passed, I regained my composure and began to think about my current situation.

(What... what does this mean?)

(Calm down, calm down. I've read stories like this in the books I read in the hospital. What was it? Not a formation, but... right, reincarnation!)

The word "reincarnation" helped me quickly regain my composure. I calmed down and looked at my body.

Small hands, an infant's hands. No doubt about it, I had started a new life with my memories intact.

(I hope this time I'll have a stronger body.)

Feeling an inexplicable sense of relief, I fell asleep, excited about my new life.

---

(Oh, I can move! I can move this body!)

Crawling along the floor, I pushed forward. I'm Mary Legaria, one year old.

I was growing up under the watchful eyes of my parents in a cozy and luxurious room, a stark contrast to the medical room filled with medical equipment. So far, my body seemed to be functioning well, and I often moved around playfully, only to be picked up by the maids in maid uniforms.

(Ugh... I want to move more.)

From the atmosphere of the room, the attire of my parents, and the bowing maids and butlers, it felt like I was in a medieval European noble family, as seen in the movies, anime, manga, and games I had seen in the hospital.

(I guess I'm a noble.)

My father, holding me as a newborn, exclaimed, "This girl is the heir to our Legaria Duke family!" with a joyful expression.

(So I'm the daughter of a duke... It's hard for me to grasp since I was born and raised in modern Japan.)

With my memories from my previous life, I intended to enjoy things I couldn't do before.

(Thank you, God. I want to grow up quickly and do many things.)

I decided to believe that the voice I heard was God and to be grateful.

---

Time passed quickly, and I grew steadily. I could walk independently and hold proper conversations.

I'm Mary Legaria, three years old.

With my long, silver hair, which was almost white, and a high-quality white frilly dress, I strolled around the mansion. In fact, I had been able to move independently much earlier (even a few days after birth), but I thought it would be strange, so I tried to act like a baby as much as I knew.

(Luckily, since I was a baby, there were many things I genuinely couldn't do, so I don't think anything strange happened.)

As I grew, I began to understand the world I was in. This was not the modern society I knew, but the Ardia Kingdom, a world of swords, magic, monsters, and spirits, a typical fantasy world.

(It's an RPG, an RPG! A world I had only experienced through games is now right in front of me!)

However, no matter what kind of world it was, I was happy as long as I could live a normal life, and I didn't plan to go on adventures or anything.

(Because it's dangerous. In this life, I want to live a long life without causing trouble for my parents and be filial to them, so I won't do anything reckless.)

So, when my parents asked if I wanted anything, I always said I didn't need anything.

By the way, I could understand the language and writing of this world, which was not Japanese, without any sense of strangeness. Perhaps this was also thanks to God.

"Thank you, God! I'm living happily today."

I sent my gratitude to God, looking up at the sky.

"Oh... it's peaceful. I hope nothing happens from now on. Oops, I shouldn't say that! Ahaha, no way, it's just superstition!"

---

And so, I made a mistake.

---

It all started half a day ago.

"Oh, my dear angel is here!"

As I was walking down the hallway of the mansion, a well-dressed, middle-aged, bearded gentleman came running (or so it seemed) from a distance.

"Oh, Father, good day."

I greeted the man who was running towards me with a smile, holding up the hem of my skirt and slightly bowing. As a lady, I had been learning etiquette and proper speech from a tutor, but I was still a bit clumsy. However, with a combined mental age of over 15, I was quick to learn.

"Oof!"

Father let out a strange breath and looked up at the sky.

His name is "Ferdid Legaria," the head of the Legaria family, my father, and the marshal of the Ardia Kingdom.

"Father?"

I tilted my head, a question mark floating above it.

"Ah, ouch!"

This time, he let out a strange cry and pressed his chest.

(As always, what's going on with this conversation?)

"Ahem... Sir, the conversation isn't progressing."

The butler, who had been standing behind him, spoke in a small voice, and Father straightened his smiling face.

"Mary, come with me. I want you to meet someone."

"Me?"

As mentioned earlier, I had never asked for much from my parents, and they hadn't forced anything on me, but today seemed different.

(Actually, Father, why are you carrying me when you told me to follow you? I want to walk on my own.)

Sitting in Father's well-trained arms, I was taken to the garden, where a guest was already waiting.
