Olivia first felt a sense of doubt when she realized that this was indeed the "Selection Ceremony."

"I was wondering why His Majesty started the Selection Ceremony."

At first, it was just a small feeling of unease, but as time went on, that unease grew.

Edwar was already recognized as the Crown Prince, and changing the heir at this point could potentially confuse the people.

Eugena had also acknowledged Edwar as the next king and had told Wilson that she would not become queen.

Even if Eugena won the Selection Ceremony, she would likely renounce her right to the throne.

Even someone from outside like Olivia could reach this conclusion, so it was impossible that Wilson, as their parent, hadn't thought of it.

"So, I thought there must be another purpose to this ceremony."

"Another purpose?"

"Yes."

Olivia had a vague sense that Wilson had another goal, but she became certain of what it was during the Moana incident.

When she learned that Eugena had been playing the role of the disliked one for Edwar's sake, she suddenly thought, "What if—"

During their conversation in the garden, Wilson had said:

"---And there's another good thing about this ceremony. For some reason, even if the siblings had a strained relationship before, by the end of the ceremony, their relationship would improve."

At the time, she hadn't questioned it, but now she wondered if there was a reason why Wilson had specifically mentioned this example in explaining the ceremony.

Edwar and Eugena used to be close siblings. It wasn't surprising that Wilson was pained by their deteriorating relationship.

Moreover, considering Elizabeta's noble background as Edwar's wife, it was necessary to have someone to support them.

From both a parental and a royal perspective, it made sense that Wilson felt the need to resolve their conflict.

"I speculate that the purpose of the Selection Ceremony was not to decide the next king. If that's the case, what did His Majesty Wilson want to achieve—other than improving their relationship, I can't think of anything else."

Edwar and Eugena looked at each other, their expressions complex.

"So, I think it would be best for both of you to go to His Majesty. He probably doesn't know that Lady Eugena has been deliberately treating Lady Elizabeta harshly. Perhaps you should go together to explain the end of the Selection Ceremony and everything that has happened so far."

This would certainly put Wilson at ease.

After a moment of silence, Edwar and Eugena nodded in agreement with Olivia's suggestion.
