Chapter 65

3 min read645 words

For the April Fool's project, I wrote a story about Tiana.

Please note that this is a story set after the third volume of the novel, so those who haven't read the third volume should be careful.

Here it is, a short one, but I hope you enjoy it (*^^*)

With a long train that trails behind, and intricate lace and frills, Tiana gazed at the man before her through the delicate lace veil.

Dressed in white to match Tiana's pure white attire, Alan looked even more handsome than usual.

Alan's eyes, a deep brown, softened as he gazed at Tiana.

Tiana loved this gentle, yet slightly troubled smile of Alan's. With the words "There's nothing I can do," Alan accepted everything about Tiana. Alan's smile gave Tiana the illusion that he accepted everything about her.

Looking around the audience, the king and queen, along with Prince Silas and Olivia, were seated in the front row.

Olivia was as beautiful as ever, but today's star was Tiana.

A lot had happened since Alan broke off their engagement.

(But finally, my time has come‼)

Since Tiana's parents were not around, the second princess, Olivia, had prepared Tiana's wedding dress.

She never thought that she, once a lady-in-waiting to Olivia, would be chosen as the crown princess.

Although Alan had stepped down from his position as crown prince due to various events, he eventually returned to it.

Alan, who had become more mature and charming than when Tiana first met him, was incredibly handsome.

(Hehe, in the end, Lord Alan really does love me!)

She had cried with emotion when he proposed on one knee.

Blessed by the king and queen and Prince Silas and his wife, Tiana was to become the crown princess today.

Alan's hand reached for Tiana's veil.

Gently lifting the veil and letting it fall behind her, Alan's hand touched Tiana's cheek.

"Tiana..."

Alan's voice, sweeter than ever, called Tiana's name.

As she gazed up at him, Alan slowly bent down.

His warm breath touched her lips.

(Oh, finally, my time has come...)

Just one more centimeter.

And just as their lips were about to meet—

Thud!

Hugging her pillow, Tiana blinked awake.

In front of her was the bed where she had been sleeping. It seemed she had rolled off it.

"......Tch"

Tiana let out a small sigh and stood up, lying back on the bed on her back.

"It was almost there. My time..."

The dream ended too soon.

Puffing out her cheeks, Tiana hugged her pillow and closed her eyes again.

If she closed her eyes once more, could she see the continuation of the dream?

She wanted to dream about becoming the queen and ruling the world from the position of crown princess.

(And every day, I'll wear beautiful dresses, eat delicious sweets, and live happily ever after!)

With Olivia as the second princess, she would surely take care of all the troublesome work.

After all, in Tiana's dreams, things always go her way, so there's no way she would be overwhelmed with work.

"Hehe, I'll go back to sleep."

However, thirty minutes later, Taylor, frustrated by Tiana's continued slumber, woke her up. In the end, Tiana couldn't finish her dream.

And for some reason, after that day, she could never see the same dream again—

(Taylor!)

To remember the day she had such a wonderful dream, Tiana marked a heart on the calendar, feeling sulky that Taylor had interrupted her perfect dream.
