Chapter 13

Jian Ci’s idea with regards to the living patterns with his fiancé is simple.

Since they have decided to get married without any feelings for each other, they’ll just have to get along as normal friends by giving each other space, being understanding and trying their best to avoid conflicts. That way, they would not be awkward.

After sending Jian Ci home, Zhou Bai drove himself back.

Jian Ci was a relatively quiet passenger, or rather, there wasn’t much they could talk about. However, it wasn’t uncomfortable remaining in silence and instead, there was a peculiar peace and tranquility to it.

While Zhou Bai was on his way back alone, he would subconsciously look towards the passenger seat.

Sitting there was a bear plushie.

When that person was sitting there, he would sometimes play with the bear plushie, and he would sometimes look out of the window. His sense of presence was pretty weak, but Zhou Bai could feel it.

It felt like there was someone by his side.

It wasn’t near nor far, it wasn’t very intimate, nor was it very distant.

This feeling wasn’t detestable.
