Chapter 18

After returning from the hospital, Jiang Ke went to the room to sleep.

Lin Mu went to prepare dinner, Jiang Ke wanted to lie down on the sofa to join him as before, but Lin Mu refused on the grounds that he was pregnant and needed to rest properly.

When Jiang Ke laid down he heard the doorbell ring, but because he was already half asleep, he had fallen asleep. When he woke up from his nap, he was startled to see a person standing next to his bed.

A woman, who looked young and exuded tenderness from the inside out, even her gaze was loving and gentle.

“Hello, may I ask who you are?” Jiang Ke asked courageously.

“I am your mother.” Ming Yixin replied playfully.

“Huh? Mother… my mum?” Jiang Ke didn’t react for a moment, his bunny simplicity made people like him.

“I’m Lin Mu’s mother, not your mother.” Ming Yixin brushed aside Jiang Ke’s bangs and took a close look at his features.

As her son had said, Jiang Ke is a beautiful boy. Pure and harmless and easy to eat: perfect for her son.

“Hello Auntie, I am…! I’m Jiang Ke, I-” Jiang Ke was interrupted before he could finish his sentence.

“Yes, yes, I know. Lin Mu told me.”

“Good boy, from now on we are all one family. Don’t call me Auntie, call me Mom.”

Under Ming Yixin’s expectant gaze, Jiang Ke finally uttered the long-awaited “Mom”.

“Ah, my dear boy. I’ve heard a lot about you from Lin Mu. I’ve always wanted to meet you, but he hid you away saying he was afraid of scaring you. I’m not that scary!”

“Mom, I should be the one to take the initiative to visit you, how can I ask you to come and see me.” Jiang Ke tried to get up as he spoke but was stopped by Ming Yixin.

“Lie down, I heard from Lin Mu first thing in the morning that you are pregnant. No need to bother with manners, you are our family’s baby panda now, so be careful.”

Jiang Ke felt a little embarrassed and thought: he is a pregnant man, but the elders don’t find it strange.

Amid the distraction, Ming Yixin gave him a gentle hug, and Jiang Ke stiffened. It was the first time in years that he had experienced a mother’s hug again, Jiang Ke’s nose instantly reddened.

“Good boy, I know all about your physical condition too. Thank you, thank you very much for being willing to have a baby for our Lin Mu.” Said Ming Yixin in a trembling voice.

“I know that your body’s peculiarities have not made you happy before, but I still want to thank you. Remember, my son, your body is not a burden to you, it is a blessing to our Lin Family, you are a blessed baby to our Lin Family.”

Jiang Ke never thought he would have a day like today.

A man who loves him will start a family with him, and they will have a baby, and he has been told that his body is not an abnormality, but a blessing.

It all seemed like a dream, but it was all real.

Jiang Ke hugged Ming Yixin back, and for the first time, he felt like he had a family.

“Alright, you two, let’s eat!” Lin Mu walked in, kissed Jiang Ke, and took the blushing person away despite Jiang Ke’s objections.

“What did the doctor say, is everything okay?” Ming Yixin wasn’t comfortable with Lin Mu taking care of Jiang Ke by himself.

“Mom, don’t worry, everything is fine. You don’t have to stay, I can do it. Go back and tell Father that Xiao Ke, the baby, and I, are fine.” Lin Mu fed Jiang Ke as he answered his mother.

“Isn´t it because I’ m afraid that you are inexperienced? Come home, I will take care of Xiao Ke myself.” Ming Yi was so anxious that she couldn’t wait to take Jiang Ke to the old mansion right now.

“We will stay here. We are used to living here, you can come to help me when Xiao Ke is about to give birth.”

Lin Mu’s attitude was so resolute that Ming Yixin could do nothing about it. After dinner, she advised him carefully for a long time before leaving.
