Endless darkness enveloped Tang San, a mysterious chill freezing his consciousness, as if it were about to turn into ice.
Vaguely, he sensed the aura of death enveloping him, his instincts sensing danger, and a strong will to survive screamed within his consciousness.
"No, no, no, I want to live, I must live, I absolutely do not want to die."
But it was all in vain. Death had already arrived, and no one could reverse it. He completely lost sensation in his body, with only a thread of consciousness fading in the surrounding cold, becoming increasingly numb. Eternal death was about to descend.
As Tang San's consciousness gradually faded, he let out a final cry: "I am not willing."
The soul's cry, the boiling of consciousness, seemed to stimulate something. A hundred meters below the Netherworld Yin Sha Point, a seemingly real yet intangible sphere suddenly trembled.
Invisible ripples surged out, rushing upward to where Tang San's body was buried.
The ripples quickly enveloped Tang San's body, extracting threads of his consciousness, gathering them into a faint glow. Then the ripples rapidly returned to the sphere, pulling this faint glow into it.
This small glow rushed into the seemingly real yet intangible sphere, instantly disappearing. The sphere then returned to calm, and the Netherworld Yin Sha Point showed no further abnormalities. Everything returned to its original state, with only the corpse in the pit hinting at the ominous events that had occurred.
After an unknown amount of time, Tang San's consciousness slowly awakened. He instinctively "saw" his surroundings, a world of darkness. There was nothing, only the silence and darkness of death, a sense of eternal tranquility enveloping him.
Tang San was initially stunned, then pleasantly surprised, and opened his mouth to speak. But at that moment, he suddenly realized he had no mouth, and could not make a sound.
Questions flashed through Tang San's mind: "What's going on? Why am I like this? Where is my body? Why can I see a 360-degree view? Why have I become a ball of light?"
For some reason, Tang San could see his form, a hazy ball of light, and he was extremely shocked.
As Tang San was shocked by his form, the light carrying his consciousness suddenly changed. The light stretched out, slowly revealing Tang San's original appearance: an ordinary-looking man with an ordinary build but sharp eyes.
Looking at his naked body, a thought flashed through Tang San's mind: "Could it be that I can become whatever I think of?"
With his genius mind, Tang San immediately sensed something unusual and began to experiment.
A thought flashed through Tang San's consciousness, immediately causing a change in the light of his body. A strand of light separated from his body, forming an ordinary coat and dressing him.
His eyes lit up, and he said, "The first experiment, I can control this ball of light that carries my consciousness."
With his thoughts realized, Tang San felt a bit more confident. He scanned his surroundings and thought, "Then let a mountain appear."
As the thought rose in his consciousness, Tang San found that the pitch-black surroundings remained unchanged, a sense of foreboding filling his heart.
"Could it be that I can only change this ball of light that carries my consciousness, and have no influence on the dark world around me? Am I going to be alone in this endless darkness forever?"
In an instant, Tang San imagined a terrifying future, his heart sinking. According to research, humans cannot survive in complete darkness for 72 hours, as the mind cannot endure such loneliness, darkness, and fear.
Tang San had even seen research data showing that in a pitch-black cell, with no light, no sound, and only darkness, almost no one could withstand the fear. Countless people had been driven mad.
His mood was heavy. If his deductions were correct, the future would not be easy. He did not know how long he would be trapped here, perhaps a few days, a few years, a lifetime, or forever. This place was already beyond the realm of science.
The heavy thoughts slowly echoed in Tang San's mind: "Am I doomed to be like this?"
In the darkness, time was impossible to judge, and Tang San could only endure the endless loneliness.
At first, he could tolerate it, but gradually, his mind became increasingly restless. He was on the verge of going mad from loneliness. In this pitch-black space, he found that he could not sleep, and was almost always awake, enduring loneliness and isolation.
However, gradually, Tang San found a way to alleviate his loneliness.
His consciousness carried countless pieces of knowledge, most of which were related to medicine, but also included a fair amount of scientific knowledge and theories.
Through experiments, Tang San discovered that he could control the light that formed his body, so he could summon the light into glowing words that floated in front of him, allowing him to see them.
He could then continuously calculate and study these theories, whether correct or incorrect, at least giving him a direction and outlet to alleviate and vent his loneliness.
But even so, after an unknown amount of time, Tang San had almost exhausted all the theories he could calculate and understand. This method had reached its limit, and he needed to find a new way to alleviate his loneliness.
His consciousness searched his memory for something to pass the time.
Finally, his gaze fell on something he had forgotten in a corner: the Chinese martial arts, which were highly regarded on Earth.
He had once been a terminal patient, and to treat his illness, he needed a strong body. He had sought out many masters to teach him martial arts that could strengthen his body.
During his search, the masters taught Tang San cultivation methods. According to these masters, his illness had severely affected his body, and he could only practice cultivation methods that had the least impact on his body. Therefore, the martial arts he learned were mainly for health and longevity.
But Tang San was a genius and had a natural skeptical attitude towards everything. He had spent time researching these martial arts, even studying foreign martial arts like Tae Kwon Do, Aikido, hard qi gong, Muay Thai, and Karate.
After scientific research, Tang San found that these martial arts did not help his condition and instead severely drained his body, accelerating its destruction.
After realizing that martial arts were of little use to him, he only occasionally practiced Tai Chi to keep his body flexible and did not pay much attention to this aspect.
Until now, with nothing else to do, he recalled the martial arts he had studied on Earth, which seemed useless.
In the pitch-black world, Tang San began his martial arts practice, performing various styles one after another, gradually improving from initially awkward and ugly stances to perfect and flawless movements, spending an unknown amount of time.
In this process, Tang San found a mysterious sense of enjoyment, once again escaping the invasion of endless darkness.
While practicing these martial arts, Tang San discovered something surprising.
The body originally composed entirely of light gradually began to resemble a real body.
He had a heartbeat, blood, bones, muscles, and even internal organs. The body formed by light had everything a human body had, becoming a flesh-and-blood body.
This transformation greatly surprised Tang San. Vaguely, he sensed something, as if this world had some kind of mysterious power.
The perfect body gave Tang San a sense of reality in his practice, allowing him to continuously correct his posture and discover inconsistencies between the martial arts and his body, making adjustments.
Time passed quickly, and before he knew it, an unknown amount of time had passed. In the endless darkness, a figure enveloped in light was moving, almost transforming into an endless glow.
Tang San was immersed in his martial arts practice, entering a unique state. Threads of an unknown substance rose from the top of his head, slowly forming a hazy gas, both existing and not existing, containing a sense of time, as if it had accumulated over countless years.
Tang San did not know what was gathering above his head. His only feeling was clarity and freshness, and he did not know how long he had been practicing martial arts.
From initially awkward stances to now being able to move fluidly in any position, he felt his martial arts had reached a new realm, and his control over his body had reached an astonishing level.
But just as Tang San continued his martial arts practice, the entire dark world began to tremble slightly, startling him.
At the moment Tang San was startled, the dark world shook violently.
The violent shaking instantly shattered Tang San's body, turning it back into a ball of light. The hazy gas above his head immediately dissipated, turning into intangible particles that remerged with the light that formed Tang San.
Tang San's consciousness wavered, not knowing what had happened. At this moment, the eternal darkness of the world slowly faded, revealing the outside world. His gaze swept around, and he saw a scene that would haunt him forever.
He saw the endless sky above, his "body" emitting an endless black glow, piercing the clouds. The sky was filled with dark clouds, and purple lightning flashed within them, like a natural disaster.
With a thunderclap, countless lightning bolts descended, like divine punishment or the end of the world, striking Tang San's body.
A purple glow flashed, and Tang San saw the black glow from his "body" rapidly dissipating.
The endless lightning continued, and his "body" let out an endless roar, its face contorted with terrifying ferocity, like a demon, making Tang San, who was inside the sphere, shiver.
His eyes full of disbelief, he thought, "What is this? Why does my body seem to have undergone a transformation, like a beast?"
A thought flashed through Tang San's mind: "Transformation, right. According to the 'Zombie Cultivation Sutra,' I sealed my body in the Netherworld Yin Sha Point. Could it be that a thousand years have passed, and my body has finally transformed into a Heavenly Zombie? But why is my consciousness still here? What is this place?"
As Tang San was puzzled, his Heavenly Zombie body in the sky was resisting the power of heaven and earth. The endless black glow rose to the sky, forming endless dark clouds, resisting the lightning.
The power of heaven and earth was too vast, and the area for dozens of miles was enveloped in lightning. Under the countless lightning bolts, Tang San's Heavenly Zombie body, ultimately just a withered corpse, was nearly annihilated by the lightning.
The endless lightning descended again, and Tang San's Heavenly Zombie body was finally overwhelmed by the lightning. The consciousness of the Heavenly Zombie was rapidly annihilated by the lightning.
But at that moment, the mysterious sphere where Tang San resided suddenly moved, transforming into an intangible light. No power could stop it, not even the vast heavenly lightning.
It instantly entered the brain of the Heavenly Zombie body, and a powerful suction force erupted, drawing in the endless lightning and the root of the zombie qi in every cell of the Heavenly Zombie body into the relic.
Then an intangible wave rose from the top of Tang San's Heavenly Zombie body, tearing a strange crack in the sky.
The crack was deep and immeasurable, as if leading to the depths of hell.
At the moment the crack appeared, Tang San's Heavenly Zombie body was sucked into it, disappearing. Only the rolling dark clouds and purple lightning remained, roaring angrily in the void.
Thus: In the endless space, a thousand years passed, and the divine lightning descended to destroy the Heavenly Zombie.
