Tang Huan looked at Song Mo across the crowd, thought for a while, then turned to face Lin Peizhi, her gaze amorous. “I’m going to make bone soup tonight. Would you like to come over and try it?”

A surprised smile flashed in Lin Peizhi’s eyes. “I would love to.”

“However, the bone soup is not free. I want you to bring me something to liven things up.” Tang Huan set down the white porcelain spoon, approached Lin Peizhi, and teasingly moved her hand towards his crotch. “Do you know what can make things more exciting? Young Master Lin, you should have some good stuff in your hands, right? Don’t try to fool me with those subpar and harmful products.”

They were still in public after all. Lin Peizhi had never experienced something so thrilling before. While bending his body down slightly to cover up for her movements, he replied confidently, “Shui Xian, for me, you are the most exciting one. I don’t need those external things.” He was speaking the truth, just like now, even though her hands were only resting between his legs, he was already aroused.

“Is that so?” Tang Huan slowly retracted her hand and smirked at him “Unfortunately, you haven’t fully piqued my interest. Young Master Lin, don’t tell me you don’t have any of those?”

Lin Peizhi’s eyes glowed with a hint of danger. “Whether I have it or not, you’ll find out tonight. However, Shui Xian, since you want to play big, don’t cry to me if you can’t stand it anymore. I’m usually gentle with you, but when that time comes, I am afraid that even if I want to spare you, your Second Young Master Lin will not agree.”

Tang Huan smiled and glared at him before lowering her head to eat.

Alas, such a fine man could only be seen and not eaten…

After lunch, Lin Peizhi had something to do, so they agreed on a time for his visit and he left first.

At noon, everyone had finished making lunch, and not many people came out to buy meat and vegetables. There was finally no one in front of the butcher shop.

After instructing her staff to prepare two vegetarian dishes, she placed them in a food container and personally deliver the food to Song Mo.

No one was buying meat, so Song Mo sat inside, at a low table with flatbread and a packet of bacon jerky in front of him.

“Are you only eating this?”

Tang Huan walked right into the store. Before Song Mo stood up to chase her away, she squatted down in front of him, quickly took out the dishes in the container, and positioned them on the table. “Song Mo, you rejected me when I invited you over for lunch, so I can only bring the food to you. I think that since you deal with meat every day, you probably have no appetite for meat dishes, so I specifically requested them to cook vegetarian dishes for you. Do you think it suits your appetite? If not, I’ll have them prepare other dishes for you tomorrow, or you can tell me what you like to eat.”

Song Mo was holding flatbread in one hand and chopsticks in the other. After Tang Huan finished speaking, he looked up at her. “Do you think I really won’t hit you?” With that intimate and natural tone, who did she think she was to him?

Song Mo continued, “Take it away. If you come here one more time, I won’t care if you’re a man or a woman; I’ll beat you up.”

“Song Mo!” Tang Huan slammed the table huffily. “Song Mo, I just care about you-”

“I don’t need your care,” Song Mo interrupted her with a frown, “Take your things and leave right away. Don’t wait for me to send you out.”

“I’ll leave!” Tang Huan stood up, pointed at him indignantly, and scolded, “Song Mo, you are so cold. No wonder you can’t get a wife! Look, there are so many women surrounding you and come to see you every day, but besides me, who else would dare to say an extra word to you? Song Mo, you are fortunate to have met someone like me who isn’t afraid of you and doesn’t mind if you’re difficult to get along with. Let me tell you, there are plenty of men who are better than you. Don’t think that I can’t live without you! If you keep acting like this, sooner or later, even I will stop talking to you! Let’s see what you’ll do then!”

Song Mo remained expressionless.

Why was this woman so thick-skinned? She was flirting with a man at the entrance of her restaurant just now, and now she came to him to complain?

He didn’t know what she was thinking. Did she think everyone was a moron? Or did she believe that if she had a pretty face, all men would cooperatively play along with her?

Song Mo continued to eat as if there were no one else around.

Tang Huan stared at his face, slowly leaned over pretending to clear the table, then raised her hand and quickly touched his handsome face.

Song Mo stood up to grab the woman who had been making fun of him again and again, but Tang Huan quickly ran away, laughing as she ran. “Song Mo, go wash your face. Your face is as oily as pork meat! By the way, once you finished eating those two dishes, remember to wash the plates and send them back to the restaurant. Don’t be lazy!”

Her speed was very fast, and by the time Song Mo ran out of his shop, she was about to reach her restaurant.

Pedestrians on the road looked at him curiously. Song Mo clenched his fists, temporarily suppressing the anger in his heart, and turned back.

After he turned around, his gaze fell on the table.

A dish of stir-fried bean sprouts with garlic sprouts and a dish of seasoned spinach sat on the small square table. Tender white, bright yellow, and fresh green, all of which were the most common village side dishes. But somehow, his anger receded a little. The urge to throw the plates on the street was gradually subdued as well.

She had no shame, but he refused to play along with her.

Song Mo swallowed his saliva and set the two dishes aside. He decided to put these things in front of the restaurant early the next morning when no one was around. Whether it would be taken away by beggars or eaten by wild dogs had nothing to do with him.

He didn’t touch her things at all lest she bothered him again.
