"Ugh..." Accompanied by a series of dry heaves, Jin Seong-won woke from his drowsy state. After hours of sea travel, his entire body felt as if it had fallen apart, leaving him with no strength at all. His stomach was already empty, and he could only produce dry heaves.

"Hehe..." Resting his hand on his forehead to recover, Jin Seong-won's lips curled slightly, emitting a soft laugh that was both self-mocking and reluctant.

"I didn't expect to be sent to serve on Dokdo. No wonder the company offered such generous terms."

Jin Seong-won is a singer under S.M. Entertainment in South Korea, having debuted in 1998. Unfortunately, he has always been in a lukewarm state, neither rising to stardom nor fading into obscurity. In 2002, due to many of the company's artists being heavily criticized by netizens for their military service issues, S.M. Entertainment decided to send Jin Seong-won, who had just turned of age that year, to represent the company's artists in military service.

However, Jin Seong-won did not expect the company to be so ruthless, sending him directly to serve on Dokdo. The hours of sea travel left him in a drowsy, half-awake state, repeatedly falling asleep and waking up.

But after this awakening, Jin Seong-won found that his mind was suddenly filled with many indescribable things, like fragmented pieces that were vague and unclear, floating like water plants, appearing and disappearing, colliding and dissipating into his mind.

Each time this happened, Jin Seong-won felt a slight throbbing pain in his head, which then disappeared...

" Wake up, we're about to reach Dokdo!" A deep male voice roused Jin Seong-won from his drowsiness.

Jin Seong-won suddenly awoke, feeling his mind filled with many indescribable things, not memories but more like subconscious imprints. His previously dull eyes now seemed as deep as the sea, filled with a strong will like an endless storm.

"Finally, my military service begins." Jin Seong-won's deep voice carried a hint of anticipation.
