Chapter 13

Although life at the forest farm was very leisurely and comfortable, and the environment here was excellent, even though the array formation was now set up, it would not be possible for the spiritual energy here to become completely abundant in a short period of time. However, it was indeed becoming increasingly excellent, making one feel refreshed and invigorated.

In the morning, after a round of boxing, Qi Ping felt that his physical condition was definitely getting better. The simplest way to show this was that his appetite was getting bigger. After all, he had already passed his adolescence, so it could only be said that his body needed more and more energy, which naturally required more food.

Leisurely listening to music and eating breakfast, Qi Ping was now planning to find some fun. Although life at the forest farm was indeed very quiet and enjoyable, he couldn't always be alone. The house now seemed a bit too cold and quiet. If he didn't go out, he might spend the whole day by himself, which didn't suit Qi Ping's interests.

Living alone at the forest farm was for the sake of tranquility, but this did not mean he needed to be far from the world. Qi Ping felt that his life needed more embellishment, and he needed to find something interesting to do.

Buying an interesting little pet was Qi Ping's current idea, and it was clearly very appropriate.

The forest farm was his own territory, and the house needed some mischievous little creatures to liven up the atmosphere. Since it was quite a distance from the city, it was definitely more suitable for raising some interesting pets. Without a doubt, Qi Ping had made up his mind; he needed some interesting pets to make his life more interesting.

In the past, he didn't have the conditions, the time to take care of pets, or the space to raise them properly. But now, he didn't need to worry about these things. Qi Ping believed he could definitely do well, and this was undoubtedly true. So now, it was time to set out.

First of all, the forest farm needed some dogs. The forest farm was too large, and Qi Ping would also need to develop in the mountains in the future, so raising a few dogs was a good idea.

Qi Ping had a special affection for dogs; because they are loyal, brave, and intelligent... They can always be by their owner's side and can be considered one of the best companions for humans. Qi Ping's hometown was in the countryside, where many people raised dogs. Guarding the house and the yard was the main function of dogs, and those ordinary-looking local dogs were actually very reliable.

At first, Qi Ping thought that raising a few local dogs would be quite good, but the scientific name for local dogs is the Chinese Rural Dog, and finding local dogs in America was not an easy task. So, even though Qi Ping had a deeper affection for local dogs, he could only look for more suitable dogs.

The German Shepherd, also known as the German Black Back or Wolf Dog, was the breed Qi Ping was now interested in.

They are tall, have a fierce appearance, and possess strong working abilities. Although the Black Back is a fierce breed, it is not actually a belligerent fighter. Perhaps this is because it is very proud and can just glance at objects it deems not to be a threat.

They are 100% loyal to their owners. A well-trained Black Back is extremely loyal to its owner. Sometimes, in military police dogs, they know that a task might cost them their lives, but they still follow their owner's orders to complete the task!

"These are their pedigree certificates, all the puppies are the healthiest. If you plan to train them as working dogs, this is the most suitable choice. Everyone knows the execution ability of German Shepherds." The pet store employee brought the pedigree certificates of the puppies to Qi Ping. This was not an overreaction; in a reputable pet store, each dog's pedigree and other information are certified.

"Have they been vaccinated? They look very spirited, I really like them. But I live in the suburbs and don't come out much." Qi Ping really liked these puppies and had done a bit of research before coming.

After carefully examining the health of the four puppies, Qi Ping felt he couldn't really tell much; the little guys were very lively, which was enough.

"These are the best puppies, and their health certificates are here. They are over a month old and don't need any more vaccinations; we have already vaccinated them." The pet store staff said, and they actually valued these four puppies a lot because they were the best grade of German Shepherds.

Qi Ping was very satisfied. Originally, he wanted to choose a satisfactory breed from the Black Back, the Border Collie (known as the smartest dog), and the fierce Caucasian Shepherd. But now, he didn't need to. Watching these little Black Backs affectionately licking his hand, Qi Ping knew these four puppies were his best choice.

"I don't want them to be related, you understand what I mean, right?" Qi Ping reminded, and he was indeed very moved by these four puppies, but he was also very calm. The puppies would eventually settle down at the forest farm, which meant they would grow up and start families there.

If they ended up as siblings, it would be a great tragedy.

"You can rest assured; the pedigree certificates can explain everything." Hearing the employee's words, Qi Ping felt relieved. He was now confident that such a tragedy would not happen.

Now, there was no problem. Although each of the four puppies cost over three hundred dollars, Qi Ping felt it was worth it. The little Black Backs were very healthy, and their pedigrees were excellent. Qi Ping could now rest assured that these little guys were his favorites.

This was Qi Ping's first time raising dogs. Although he had seen many people raise dogs in his hometown, it didn't seem to have any special aspects or anything to be particularly concerned about. However, Qi Ping still needed to be careful. He hoped to take good care of these little puppies, so the professional advice of the store employees was naturally important.

"From now on, you will be called Dongfeng, Nanfeng, Xifeng, and Beifeng. The four directions are all complete, and these names are easy to remember and down-to-earth." Qi Ping smiled and played with the cute little guys, placing the four puppies in the passenger seat of his pickup truck. The little puppies were restless in the small box.

Dongfeng, Nanfeng, Xifeng, and Beifeng were not named because Qi Ping needed to remember directions. The names had artistic connotations; in the national treasure of Mahjong, there are the four major cards. Qi Ping was a bit mischievous. So, Xifeng and Beifeng might feel a bit wronged, as these two cute little girls were given such names by their unscrupulous owner.

Qi Ping was very happy. He felt that these names were very meaningful. So, while driving, he talked to the little guys, even though they seemed to get along well with him, the puppies were still a bit unfamiliar with this seemingly kind man.

Actually, the Black Back's personality is somewhat confident and noticeably cold, which makes it not so easy to approach and build a friendship. In its relationship with humans, it is not easy to give affection; it has a strong sense of self-respect and is suspicious of strangers. However, once a friendship is established, it will last a lifetime.

The best time to raise Black Back puppies is between two months and half a year old. Clearly, Dongfeng, Nanfeng, Xifeng, and Beifeng were at the most suitable age for training. This would allow Qi Ping to provide them with the most help at the right time. This would also help the little guys better accept Qi Ping, truly trust him, and become his good companions.
