As a potential big boss, Qi Ping was naturally treated with great enthusiasm, of course, just because of this guy's wallet. To be honest, the service industry in the United States is really advanced, especially the services provided for the wealthy are quite comprehensive. Qi Ping just put forward some of his requirements, and immediately someone was able to arrange everything.
Qi Ping was now ready to start his serious business, which was to inspect the conditions of his forest land. In fact, he still needed to carefully select, as Qi Ping's requirements were not low.
California is a state on the western Pacific coast of the United States. It borders Oregon to the north, Nevada and Arizona to the east, Mexico to the south, and the Pacific Ocean to the west. The northwest corner of California has Redwood National Park, home to some of the tallest ancient coastal redwoods in the world; the western slope of the Sierra Nevada on the eastern side has Yosemite National Park, among others.
Qi Ping thought this place was quite nice. The West Coast was out of the question for now, as it was not needed temporarily; but the eastern part was mostly the Sierra Nevada, which Qi Ping valued the most. Looking at California, although there were certainly geographical differences overall; for Qi Ping, he could definitely find a satisfactory forest land in the eastern part of California.
The first place he went to was San Diego, the third-largest city in California, surrounded by hills to the east, north, and south, with Mount San Vicente towering in the northeast of the city; and the southern end by San Diego Bay, one of the areas with the most beautiful coastlines. This is also a city of sports in the United States, with many famous athletes and teams; San Diego's natural scenery is renowned, and within a day's drive, one can see beaches, forests, and deserts with distinct styles.
Qi Ping thought this place was still great, although the land prices might be high; but there was no way around it, land prices in California have always been high. Not only because of the large population, but also because the climate here is indeed excellent.
This is the most agriculturally developed state in the United States, with leading production of sugarcane, vegetables, and fruits; second in cotton production; second in rice production; and an important producer of milk, eggs, and meat. The Central Valley is the richest agricultural area. Forestry is well-developed, being one of the three largest timber-producing states in the country; the fishing industry has the highest value in the nation.
"Mr. Qi, this place has the best environment. I believe you chose California because you understand the climate here, which is indeed suitable for agricultural development, including your forestry. Moreover, the highway network is dense, ranking second in the nation. California is not only the western endpoint of three transcontinental railway lines, but San Diego is also one of the best fishing ports in the nation. Whether for leisure or investment, this place is very suitable." Money talks, don't look at those white people always acting superior; when they see money, they bend over backward.
"Mr. Douglas, I don't need to know these things, I just need to know about the forest land in Escondido. Although it looks good on paper, I must inspect it in person." Qi Ping was selective; after making the intention to buy, there were indeed many choices; but after carefully reviewing the data, only a few were suitable.
Qi Ping was now very concerned about the forest land in Ramona, which seemed to be the most suitable.
Ramona is a city in the western part of San Diego County, a small city with a population of less than 100,000; although it does not belong to the Sierra Nevada, Mount San Vicente is actually a large mountain range adjacent to the Sierra Nevada, and the forestry here is also well-developed, which is sufficient.
Rich people have their moods, and because the customer is God; Douglas would not say much more, he just hoped that this deal could be completed so that he could get a substantial commission.
Forest lands are not few, generally ranging from dozens to tens of thousands of acres in size; as for the price, they range from hundreds of thousands to tens of millions or even hundreds of millions of dollars. Qi Ping was not just dabbling; the funds he had were not small.
In the mountainous area, the air was very fresh; the distant mountains were covered with dense forests, and the chirping of insects and birds made one feel very comfortable. As for the environment, it was indeed very pleasant, not much different from the south of his hometown. Mild and comfortable, it was very suitable for living and agricultural development.
"The forest area is 1,070 acres, including 260 acres of farmland at the foot of the mountain." Douglas was selling hard, this forest land was indeed very suitable for Mr. Qi's requirements; mostly forest, including some small hills and flat land, "next to it is national land, the Hearst Ranch National Forest, which is generally not allowed to be developed. I think this will ensure Mr. Qi's interests, don't worry about anyone encroaching on Mr. Qi's forest land."
Qi Ping immediately perked up, meaning that this land was basically not for sale; as long as he bought this land, others could only watch. National forests are protected, they are public property.
"Highway 78 passes through here, connecting to Interstate 15, ensuring transportation; and there is a large lake, which belongs to the forest land. Mr. Qi can enjoy boating and fishing at home, fishing in San Diego is very popular; of course, it can also ensure the water supply for the forest land, although there is never a lack of irrigation water here." Douglas's humor indeed made Qi Ping very interested, this place was indeed quite to his taste.
There were mountains, large areas of mountains, and well-protected mountains; there was land, and the quality of the land looked quite good, although there were some small hills, there were still large areas of land that could be used as farmland. As for this small lake, it was a wonderful existence, and it belonged to him!
1,070 acres of forest land, which is approximately 6,500 acres of forest land; 260 acres of farmland, which is about 1,500 acres of land. Although some of the forest and hills were not suitable for development, and there was a lake of dozens of acres, the usable space here was still astonishingly large!
As for the price, of course, he would not be shy; generally, in other states, forest lands or ranches of this scale would not cost more than 4 million dollars, and could even be cheaper. But this is California, where the land is expensive, and the quality of the forest land here is indeed excellent, so the price would not be low; the quoted price was 4.2 million dollars, but it could be slightly negotiated.
"There are logging machines, warehouses, and housing here, I think this is great. Especially this house, it is a typical countryside-style leisure villa; a two-story duplex design, central fireplace heating; 1,000 square feet (300 square meters), four bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen, and living room. This was originally a leisure farm, but you know, there is an economic crisis now." Douglas was becoming more and more enthusiastic, as he could see that Mr. Qi was already interested.
To be honest, Qi Ping did not really care about this house, and he even disliked it; the house was at the foot of the mountain, not by his favorite small lake. Although it did have electricity and internet, the location was not ideal; if it were by the small lake, it would be perfect, and then he could consider negotiating the price.
Sitting in a rented helicopter and flying over the forest land, this place was indeed nice; it had always been a leisure forest land, so there were no signs of development; the vegetation was intact, which was also good. This made Qi Ping even more interested, for him, finding a suitable forest land on his first inspection was indeed a stroke of luck.
"Give me two days, I need to think about it carefully." Qi Ping was interested, and he did not even want to continue the inspection; now he was focused on this forest land, and for him, it was almost a must-have, as long as the price was not too outrageous, and could be slightly reduced, he would definitely accept it.
Back in Los Angeles, Qi Ping also discussed with Luo Yi; although Qi Ping and Luo Yi were both novices, the data here looked very complete, and the condition of the forest land was indeed excellent, which also made Luo Yi interested.
"How much capital do you have to buy the forest land? You can't put all your money into it at once. Developing a forest land is not a small amount, you need to be cautious." Luo Yi, of course, knew that Qi Ping was indeed interested; but the price was a big issue, and Qi Ping seemed a bit nervous.
"Buying the forest land is not difficult, but I am worried about the subsequent investment. Buying it is good, but if I add some furniture and other things, I will be poor for a long time." Qi Ping was being honest; if all the money went to the forest land, the pressure would indeed be significant.
"No problem, with such a large forest land in hand, you can get a loan when the time comes. Good forest land is rare, if you have the confidence to grow good vegetables or good timber, it won't be a problem!" Since Qi Ping felt it was not a problem, then it was not a problem, so心动不如行动!
Indeed, action speaks louder than words, let's get moving!
