Chapter 92

Feeling somewhat awkward, Kate had called to invite her parents and Joshua to the forest farm for breakfast; now, Eric was sitting on the sofa, holding a bouquet of flowers as a gift, looking unsure of what to say. Caroline was busy in the kitchen with Kate preparing breakfast, while Joshua sat on the side, watching the 'feud' between his father and Qiping with great interest.

"Jingang, what are you doing? I'm Eric, Eric!" Eric felt a bit frustrated, seeing his daughter wearing Qiping's shirt made him angry; now, sitting on the sofa was also uncomfortable, as Jingang seemed not to recognize him. Eric's face turned strange, and he sighed, standing up. "Only two people can touch his milk bottle, Qiping and Kate." Joshua said sourly, having tried to feed Winnie milk several times, but even when they played well, Winnie wouldn't let him touch the milk bottle. "Winnie is very stingy, not just Winnie, but all of Qiping's little brothers are the same."

Qiping and Kate were both very proud. The little creatures at home were very protective of their food and very selective about who they trusted. They could play happily with many people, but they only trusted two people. Kate had only recently established a complete trust relationship with them, even though she had played well with them before.

"Liangshanbo and Zhu Yingtai don't care about these things; they will like you." Kate teased, knowing that although the two parrots looked aloof, they were actually the most mischievous and unreliable.

"Don't say that, I've been tricked by them many times. They don't pay attention to you at all. I've tried to feed them many times, but got no response. They don't seem to welcome me. But as soon as I turn around, they start eating. Guys, feeding them is no fun at all." Joshua's words made everyone laugh, as he was talking about the setbacks he had faced with these cute little animals.

Although Eric was acting like a child and competing with Qiping, he knew that Qiping was a great young man and hoped to see his daughter have the best possible future. Although he couldn't accept the temporary drop in his status in his daughter's heart, he wouldn't make a fuss; it was okay to be a bit childish, but it shouldn't go too far.

Qiping had a huge forest farm that could create unimaginable wealth; this was, of course, very good. Eric naturally hoped his daughter could live a wealthy life. Material life wasn't everything, but it was important, especially given their own average economic conditions, which gave Eric more insight.
