The woman in green barely managed to prop herself up. Seeing the black-robed warrior lying dead on the ground, she felt a weight lift from her heart, but she could no longer hold on and fainted on the ground.

Ye Mo hesitated for a moment, wondering if he should just take the Crimson Blood Vine and leave. After all, he didn't know these two warriors, one dead and one unconscious, and their lives had nothing to do with him. There was no need for him to get involved in this conflict between warriors.

"However, this woman in green is clearly severely injured. If no one helps her, a venomous snake could come out of anywhere in the jungle and she would surely die. I can't just stand by and watch someone die right in front of me!"

Ye Mo sighed inwardly.

Although he had practiced martial arts for ten years, he had never fought with any other warriors except for fish and shrimp in the river.

Ye Mo wasn't worried that saving the woman in green would bring him any danger. With her severe injuries, she probably couldn't even lift a sword. If she didn't receive timely treatment, she would likely die in the jungle overnight.

Thinking about this, he jumped down from the dense treetops.

With Ye Mo's mid-stage warrior strength, a few yards' height wouldn't hurt him, especially with the ground covered in dead branches, leaves, and soft mud.

Before saving the woman in green, he had one more thing to do: bury the black-robed warrior's body.

He quickly walked to the black-robed warrior and extended his right hand to check for a pulse.

"Indeed, he's dead!"

Ye Mo shook his head and withdrew his hand.

This was expected.

The black-robed warrior had been struck in the throat by the woman in green, leaving him with almost no chance of survival. If he were still alive, it would be truly unbelievable.

Ye Mo took the three-inch Crimson Blood Vine from the black-robed warrior's hand. "I'll dig a grave for you so that wild beasts don't tear you apart. This Crimson Blood Vine will be my fee for burying you!"

He started digging in the jungle.

Soon, he dug a pit just large enough to fit the black-robed warrior. After dragging the body into the pit, he covered it with soil and dead branches.

"Two nights ago, over a thousand warriors jumped into the sea to survive the storm. This black-robed warrior was lucky enough to drift to the island and survive, but today he died over the Crimson Blood Vine. What a miserable fate!"

Ye Mo sighed, buried the black-robed warrior, and then walked to the woman in green.

A beautiful face appeared before him. The woman in green had a well-endowed figure, long legs, and a slender waist, making her a very attractive woman. Now, severely injured and unconscious, her chest rose and fell irregularly, adding a touch of vulnerability.

Ye Mo was momentarily stunned.

He was a commoner from the capital city of the Wu Kingdom, busy with odd jobs and martial arts training from a young age. He had rarely interacted with women, let alone such a beautiful one.

He looked up, wondering if any wild beasts might appear in the jungle.

Ye Mo felt uneasy.

Now, he needed to find a safe place to treat the severely injured and unconscious woman.

"The beach is definitely not an option; that young demon crab might still be there!"

"The jungle is also not safe; there's no way to defend against attacks from venomous snakes and other wild beasts!"

Ye Mo thought for a moment.

He remembered seeing a small hill nearby when he first arrived on the island. It would be easier to find a cave in the hill area, which would be much safer than the jungle. If there were no caves, he would dig a hiding place.

With this in mind, Ye Mo picked up the unconscious woman in green, feeling the softness of her body through his arms, his face turning slightly red.

Fortunately, there was no one else around to notice.

Ye Mo quickly focused on the path ahead, running towards the small hill, eager to find a cave and put the woman down.

Finally, just before the sun set, Ye Mo found a cave at the base of a cliff on the hill.

The entrance to the cave was about a few yards high and two yards wide, and it looked quite deep inside.

Ye Mo didn't rush in.

The cave was dark, and he didn't know if there were any dangerous creatures inside.

He put the woman in green down near the entrance, gathered some dry moss, dead branches, and large dead branches, and started a fire.

With the experience from the previous day, he was much more skilled at starting a fire this time.

The burning moss ignited the dead branches and leaves.

Soon, a roaring bonfire rose about a yard from the cave entrance, illuminating the inside of the cave.

With the bonfire lit, the inside of the cave was illuminated.

Holding a torch made from a dead branch, Ye Mo entered the cave to carefully inspect it.

The cave wasn't very deep, about ten yards, but it was spacious and flat, like a large stone room. There were cracks in the rock walls, and water dripped continuously from the cracks, forming a small puddle. The water in the puddle then seeped through the cracks in the ground, disappearing somewhere.

"Freshwater here, that's great! Not only did I find a place to stay, but I also found the most needed freshwater."

Ye Mo was delighted.

Without further ado, he carried the woman in green into the cave, placing her next to the bonfire and examining her injuries.

The injuries were obvious; the black-robed warrior had kicked her in the left chest, causing her to fall into a coma. It wasn't clear how severe the injuries were or if her ribs were broken.

Ye Mo hesitated, feeling awkward.

He knew the woman in green was severely injured, but he couldn't easily apply medicine through her clothes.

"I'm saving her, I can't be too particular!"

Ye Mo slowly undid the woman's green robe, revealing a fine golden silk armor underneath. After fumbling with the armor, he found a pink corset inside.

When he undid the pink corset, two soft, white mounds appeared before his eyes.

Ye Mo's face turned as red as if he had drunk strong liquor, quickly averting his gaze. He had never been so close to a young woman, let alone touched her skin.

Glancing sideways, he saw a large bruise on the woman's left chest, a clear sign of internal bleeding, and he couldn't help but gasp.

The black-robed warrior's kick was extremely powerful, capable of killing someone outright.

The woman in green was still alive, thanks to the golden silk armor, which had saved her life. Otherwise, she would have died along with the black-robed warrior.

Ye Mo took a packet of healing herbs from his bag, opened it, and mixed it with water from the cave to form a green paste. He then evenly applied the paste to the bruised area on the woman's left chest to prevent the injury from worsening.

"I can't look... This herbal paste feels a bit soft and slippery!"

Ye Mo muttered to himself.

After applying the medicine, he re-fastened the woman's corset, put on her golden silk armor, and dressed her.

The woman in green groaned in pain but remained unconscious.

The medicine was applied, and whether her injuries would improve was up to fate.

Ye Mo looked at the remaining packet of healing herbs in his bag, feeling a pang of pain.

Before setting sail, he had sold all his family's property for 100 silver taels. He used 50 taels to buy a ticket on a merchant ship, 40 taels for a fine green sword, and the remaining few taels to buy two packets of healing herbs, just in case.

These healing herbs had the effect of stopping bleeding, dissolving blood clots, and promoting blood circulation. However, they couldn't be used for body tempering, which was too expensive for him.

Now, half of his healing herbs were used on this woman in green.

Ye Mo took the last packet of healing herbs, crushed it, and made it into a green paste, applying it to his own back.

He had been injured by the young demon crab's "water arrow" and needed to treat his internal injuries to avoid any lingering problems.

"When she wakes up, I need to discuss the herbs with her. I saved her life, so she should give me at least half, no, a large portion of her Crimson Blood Vine!"

Ye Mo's gaze fell on the Crimson Blood Vine in the woman's hand, thinking about how much he should ask for to make this "deal" worthwhile.

It wasn't that he was stingy, but for a commoner warrior from the Wu Kingdom's capital, every tael of silver for a packet of herbs was a significant amount.

Two packets of second-grade healing herbs could pay for several months of odd jobs at an inn in the capital.

Most importantly, he only had two packets of healing herbs, and once used, they were gone.

How could he not feel the pain?

Fortunately, the woman in green had a seventh-grade Crimson Blood Vine, which could serve as compensation.

Ye Mo felt a bit more balanced, otherwise, giving away a packet of healing herbs would have been too painful.
