On the way to Myeongdong in Seoul, at Han Seungyeon's command, the KARA members' phones had been constantly sending out messages. Han Seungyeon herself was also busy with something.
"Seungyeon, is this really okay? I feel like this isn't a good idea," Park Gwi Ri asked, somewhat worried.
"Onee, it's already a matter of life and death. What can these methods do? Besides, we're just spreading some information. It's not a big deal. Don't worry, if anything happens, I'll take responsibility!" Han Seungyeon said nonchalantly.
"Right! Onee, what's the big deal? Didn't we often play jokes like this before? It's really nothing! Besides, it's not impossible that they really are in Myeongdong!" Nicole said optimistically, busy with her own tasks.
Kim Sung Hee also nodded in agreement and continued focusing on her phone.
Seeing everyone busy, Park Gwi Ri stopped worrying and started working as well.
What were the KARA members doing?
Actually, Han Seungyeon's idea wasn't particularly novel—it was "leveraging momentum!" By using the names of top stars to maximize the number of fans in Myeongdong in a short period, it would make their promotional efforts easier. She also mobilized all the celebrity connections she could to help KARA promote the event online, explaining the core of the activity to gain public sympathy. This way, Han Seungyeon's goal would be achieved. Moreover, she had other plans.
Evening in Myeongdong was as bustling as ever, and it seemed even more crowded today. However, many people didn't seem to be focused on shopping; instead, they were searching for something.
"That's strange! Didn't they say the oppas would be here today? Why aren't they?" a petite figure asked someone nearby.
"Right! I heard that Heechul oppa would be shopping here. Are we being tricked?" a tall girl who sounded like a fairy asked, somewhat worried.
"Maybe it's a false rumor. We came here with the hope that it might be true. Now, it's a good chance to relax. We rarely get out, so let's enjoy shopping! We haven't been out in a long time. Staying in school or chasing after the oppas' schedules every day is really tiring. It's a good opportunity to rest," the petite figure said.
"But, the person who spread the rumor is really despicable! We should block their account when we get back," the tall fairy said angrily.
"Alright, this kind of thing happens almost every day. They might have just heard it wrong. If you keep this up, I won't notify you about any future events! As a fan manager, you can't be so impulsive; it will cause trouble for the oppas," the petite figure consoled, knowing that as a fan team manager, being too emotional could cause problems for the idols they loved.
"Got it, I was just saying it out loud," the tall fairy said, a bit afraid of the girl, and spoke timidly.
"Even saying it out loud is not okay. Don't you know that words can cause trouble? Let this be a lesson. Let's go!" The petite girl smiled and turned to leave.
"Onee, look! I don't know why, but there are so many people in Myeongdong today!" The tall girl pointed to the anxious figures passing by, feeling puzzled.
"Right! It seems to have suddenly increased. And look, these people don't seem to be shopping; they seem to be looking for something!" the petite girl agreed.
"Right! How strange! They look like fans. Is there a celebrity event here?" The tall girl looked around, searching for a possible celebrity.
"It looks like a lot of fan groups have come to Myeongdong. This isn't a coincidence; something seems to be about to happen," the petite girl accurately guessed the truth, though she didn't know the full extent of it.
"Hey, what are you doing?" The petite girl came to her senses and noticed the tall girl using her phone to search for something.
"Onee, it's really serious. It turns out there really is a celebrity event here today, and it's a long-awaited mass gathering," the tall girl said, surprised.
"Mo~ What, a mass gathering? Which big star is daring to challenge this event?" the petite girl asked, surprised.
"Not a top star, but KARA, who debuted in March this year," the tall girl shook her head, disbelieving.
"What, KARA, the successor to FINK.L? What's going on? Why would a failed group have a mass gathering? It doesn't make sense! Did something happen to KARA?" the petite girl muttered to herself.
"Right, it's all over the internet now. The purpose of today's mass gathering is the agreement between KARA and their company, DSP. If they don't meet the goal, KARA will disband after today. If they do, DSP will keep KARA. DSP seems so cruel!" the tall girl said sympathetically.
"Indeed! If that's the case, why are so many fans from other groups here?" the petite girl continued.
"Right, it's really serious! KARA is really going all out this time! They've mobilized all their connections. Wow, I never thought these girls had such power! The internet is boiling! Wonder Girls, Girls' Generation, Big Bang, Yoo Jae Suk, Infinite Challenge, Star Golden Bell, and other major groups have all posted their opinions online. They all hope that fans near Myeongdong will come to see this group, to understand these girls, and to truly understand this group. Even the oppas have posted their opinions, so these fans might have gathered here for that reason!" the tall girl continued.
"Oh, the oppas have said something too? Then, it seems we should really go and support them! Let's see what charm KARA has that the oppas recognize," the petite girl said proudly, then changed her tone and said to the tall girl, "Notify the nearby fairies to go to the location where KARA is holding the event. Tell them it's the oppas' request, and they shouldn't cause trouble for the oppas. They should show the unique charm of the fairies."
"Got it, Onee, I'll notify everyone right away," the tall girl nodded and began executing the order.
This situation was common throughout Myeongdong at this time. It was no longer just a stage to decide KARA's fate but had become a battlefield for fans to promote their own groups.
