Chapter 81

Before long, it was sunset again. Unconsciously, another day was about to pass. Although Su Yuhao usually felt that time was always too short, he couldn't help but sigh at the passage of time every evening, and today was no different. After all, he would have to stay late with Liu Zaishi again tonight.
"Ah, others go to work, and I go to work. Others finish work, but I still have to work. Ah! It's so frustrating." Su Yuhao looked at the staff members leaving the TV station, feeling somewhat helpless.
Su Yuhao stretched a big yawn facing the sunset, moving his somewhat tired body, which drew curious glances from the passing staff. Those who knew him smiled kindly at Su Yuhao, envying his boundless energy. After all, young talents like Su Yuhao were quite rare.
"Oh, Seungyeon! Are you here for a show?" While stretching, Su Yuhao suddenly noticed a petite figure, and feeling a bit puzzled, he called out to her.
"Huh? Ah, Yuhao oppa, why are you here!" Seungyeon, who had been walking with her head down, looked up in excitement upon hearing her name, seeing Su Yuhao not far away, and asked happily.
"Little one, it seems I asked the question first!" Su Yuhao couldn't help but tease her, using the nickname he had given her.
"Oppa, don't call me little one, or I'll get angry." Seungyeon put on an angry face, staring at Su Yuhao with wide eyes, as if to say, "I won't forgive you unless you apologize."
"Alright, little one, tell me! Why are you here alone?" Su Yuhao ruffled Seungyeon's hair and, ignoring her threat, continued to ask.
"Oh, this, um! Ah, my manager oppa went to buy food, and he'll be back soon." Seungyeon answered somewhat nervously when Su Yuhao asked.
Seeing Seungyeon's expression, how could Su Yuhao not understand what was going on? However, he really didn't want this girl to be treated this way. This wasn't about romantic feelings; if anything, it was about compassion and a shared sense of hardship, stemming from an unknown story.
Su Yuhao looked at Seungyeon quietly for a few seconds before saying, "Your current manager is Minsoo, right?"
"Um, what? Oppa, how do you know Minsoo unnie is my manager!" Seungyeon was surprised and asked in disbelief.
"Indeed! It seems 'Ten Thousand People Summon' is a reflection of the real world!" Su Yuhao thought to himself, feeling happy as he gained more understanding of the system.
"Hehe, your oppa can do anything. Alright, give me her phone number! I'll talk to her." Su Yuhao exaggeratedly praised himself and then smiled at Seungyeon.
Seungyeon looked at Su Yuhao's expression, bit her lip, and shook her head, saying, "Oppa, no need. Actually, Minsoo unnie has it tough too. She has to run these tedious and exhausting schedules with me every day, and the pay is so little. So, oppa, I don't blame her. Besides, when I came, unnie told me she couldn't keep up and needed to rest. I volunteered to handle the remaining schedule on my own. It really has nothing to do with unnie, so oppa, please don't contact her, okay?"
Seeing Seungyeon's pleading eyes, Su Yuhao felt a pang in his heart. She was still that hardworking, kind, and grateful girl! As long as someone was nice to her, this silly girl would forget all the bad things they had done. Even though she knew her manager was just making excuses and not even assigning an assistant, clearly looking down on KARA, she forgave her for being able to arrange her schedule and accompany her. This made Su Yuhao feel both comforted and a sense of shared struggle.
Perhaps because he had spent two hours in the exam as Seungyeon, every time he thought of her, he could sense some of her thoughts. Although this wasn't a telepathic connection between the opposite sex, it did add a layer of默契 (mòqì,默契 means "rapport" or "understanding") between them, allowing them to understand each other's thoughts unintentionally.
"Alright, I understand. Seungyeon, have you eaten? What time is your schedule?" Unable to refuse, Su Yuhao changed the subject.
"I ate in the car. My schedule is at 8 PM, but I came a bit early to find a place to rest." Seungyeon answered happily, relieved that Su Yuhao had agreed.
"Oh, I see!" Su Yuhao looked at his phone and then, taking Seungyeon's hand, turned and left the TV station.
"Oppa, where are you taking me!" Perhaps because Seungyeon wasn't in a hurry, or because she trusted that Su Yuhao wouldn't delay her schedule, she followed him out of MBC TV station.
"Your oppa just came out of the TV station and hasn't eaten yet! But I'm not familiar with this area. I thought, as a Korean, you would know it better, so I decided to bring you along to introduce me to the local cuisine. This way, I won't have trouble finding good food when I come to MBC again." Su Yuhao said playfully.
"Hehe, I understand. I'll introduce you to the delicious food around here. I promise you'll want to come back for more." Seeing Su Yuhao's playful expression, Seungyeon happily cooperated.
"Alright, then I'll leave it to tour guide Seungyeon xi to show me the way!" Su Yuhao playfully asked.
"Ye, this tourist, please follow me." Seungyeon adjusted her mood and posture, then gestured like a tour guide.
"Thank you."
"You're welcome."
"Ha ha!"
"Hehe!"
Laughter is always the best medicine for negative emotions. Unconsciously, Seungyeon seemed to forget her fatigue, bitterness, and sadness, finally finding the long-lost happiness of a young girl.
Under Seungyeon's guidance, the two easily found a barbecue restaurant.
While waiting for the barbecue, Seungyeon suddenly thought of a question and asked curiously, "By the way, oppa, you said you just came out of the TV station. What do you do? Are you a PD?"
"No, I'm not a TV station staff member. I'm a private manager for a celebrity. I just happened to be here for a shoot today." Su Yuhao explained while flipping the meat.
"Ah, so oppa is a celebrity manager. Whose manager are you? Do I know them? Is it a big star?" Seungyeon asked with interest.
"Um, a big star." Perhaps feeling a bit hurt by Song Qian, Su Yuhao felt a pang of sadness when talking about this topic. Sigh, he couldn't bear it! So when Seungyeon asked, he was somewhat absent-minded.
"Oppa, just tell me! I'm really curious. Okay?" Perhaps every girl is born with the skill of being cute and whiny. Hearing Seungyean's soft voice and seeing her cute appearance, the hurt Su Yuhao suddenly felt better and had the urge to confide in her.
"Do you really want to know?" Su Yuhao asked.
"Um, tell me quickly!" Seungyeon answered excitedly.
"Alright, I'll tell you." Su Yuhao nodded and said.
"Who is it, oppa?" Seungyeon looked at Su Yuhao with wide eyes, waiting for the answer.
"You'll find out soon." Su Yuhao smiled mischievously and laughed happily.
"Ah, oppa~" The barbecue restaurant echoed with the angry cry of a young girl.
