Chapter 47

The Snap Finger Technique is a skill that Yue Fangxing developed based on the Iron Finger Technique of the Huashan Sect, which he practiced to strengthen his fingers, along with some key points from the incomplete Nine Yin Manual. It was still in its early stages, and the methods of exerting force were quite simple, not overly complicated. However, Yue Fangxing had no other choice, as the Huashan Sect's secret weapon techniques had already been lost. He could only research and gradually improve them on his own.

Before long, Yue Fangxing had finished teaching the Snap Finger Technique and also passed on the finger-strengthening techniques from the Iron Finger Technique to Qu Feixian. After all, these were basic skills, and it wouldn't be a big deal to teach them. Then he had Qu Feixian practice on her own.

Qu Feixian practiced for a while and found that the Snap Finger Technique was indeed as simple as Yue Fangxing had said. Compared to the secret weapon techniques her grandfather taught her, it was almost useless except for being a bit faster. After practicing for a while, she felt quite impatient. She rolled her eyes and pouted at Yue Fangxing, "Big Brother, teach me some internal skills!"

Although she had only known Yue Fangxing for a few days, she had already figured out that he was easy to persuade, so she started to pester him again.

Yue Fangxing had no internal skills to teach her and said, "Your grandfather's martial arts are already very high. As long as you work hard, you will eventually reach his level."

Qu Feixian replied, "Grandfather's skills take a long time to master. Otherwise, my parents wouldn't have been killed. It's very difficult to reach his level!" Without waiting for a response, she recited the internal skill incantations that Qu Yang had passed down to her.

Yue Fangxing knew the taboos of the martial arts world and didn't want to get involved with this little demoness. He naturally didn't want to hear it, but when he tried to stop her, he couldn't resist Qu Feixian and had to listen.

His memory was excellent, and after hearing it once, he remembered most of it. After pondering, he found that although Qu Yang was a member of the Cult, his technique was based on Daoist methods. It was powerful and had great potential, but the progress was slow, and to reach a high level, one needed to understand some Daoist concepts. No wonder Qu Yang had the idea of seclusion; he must have understood the true meaning and been influenced by the technique.

Although the technique was good, it wasn't a good choice for a young girl like Qu Feixian. She had no interest in understanding Daoist concepts and would naturally progress slowly. In fact, most members of the Cult probably weren't suitable for this technique.

However, this technique had allowed Qu Yang to reach the top level of the martial arts world, so it was indeed extraordinary. Yue Fangxing pondered for a while and found it quite beneficial. He thought that since the basic Huashan internal technique was also a Daoist method, perhaps he could teach it to ordinary disciples, giving them a chance to reach a high level.

Yue Fangxing opened his eyes and saw Qu Feixian staring at him. Remembering that she had shared her technique with him, he felt a bit guilty.

After thinking for a while, Yue Fangxing seemed to make a decision and said, "Miss Qu, you weren't hesitant to share your technique with me. Although I don't covet it, I still feel indebted. I will teach you a set of incantations that can help in unblocking acupoints and assist in internal skill practice."

Then, Yue Fangxing taught Qu Feixian the Soul Transfer Technique, the Breath Holding Secret, and the Acupoint Release Secret. These three techniques were obtained from the ancient tomb chamber and were recorded in the incomplete Nine Yin Manual. They were extremely useful. They complemented each other, allowing one to practice internal skills while in a meditative state, and also helped in unblocking acupoints. Yue Fangxing's rapid progress in internal skills over the past two years was largely due to these techniques. Although they weren't internal skills, they were no less valuable than any other technique. Teaching them to Qu Feixian was a risk, and he repeatedly warned her not to reveal them to others or spread them.

Qu Feixian naturally agreed, but from her expression, it was hard to tell if she really cared. Yue Fangxing didn't force her; he knew her personality well, and even making her swear wouldn't necessarily work.

However, since Yue Fangxing had decided to teach her, he had also considered the consequences. Compared to the benefits, he felt he could bear the responsibility. He then taught her the three techniques and guided her in their practice.

Qu Feixian was smart and quick-witted, and she quickly understood the basics and began to practice on her own.

Seeing her get into the state, Yue Fangxing inwardly praised her but also realized that this wasn't a long-term solution. He needed to find a way to settle her. However, having lived on Huashan for a long time, he didn't know many people in the martial arts world and had no close friends, so he was at a loss.

Yue Fangxing was quite troubled and could only put the matter aside and start pondering the "Evil-Dispelling Sword Manual." He had had this manual for some time, but he had been busy traveling or had other plans. Now he had the time to study it. Although he knew the eight-character mantra, he naturally wouldn't castrate himself to practice it. Even if his martial arts were not as high as they are now, the cost would not be worth it. Otherwise, he would have long gone to Fuzhou to obtain the "Evil-Dispelling Sword Manual," and his skills might be even higher now.

The "Evil-Dispelling Sword Manual" contained not only sword techniques and qi cultivation methods but also methods for taking pills and refining medicines, which were likely to assist in practice. Yue Fangxing saw that they were stimulating drugs, which the eunuch who created the technique used to supplement yang energy. He naturally wouldn't refine them. He skipped the sections on pills and sword techniques and studied the qi cultivation methods several times before starting to practice.

Yue Fangxing sat cross-legged and circulated the mixed yuan qi in his body according to the qi cultivation methods in the "Evil-Dispelling Sword Manual."

However, as soon as he started, he felt something was wrong. Desires arose in his mind, and he forced himself to continue. Before he completed a full cycle, he felt his qi boiling, and a burning desire surged in his body. He quickly stopped and calmed his qi. Fortunately, his Mixed Yuan Skill emphasized control of internal energy, and he hadn't taken the stimulating drugs, so the boiling qi gradually calmed down.

The "Evil-Dispelling Sword Manual" was truly sinister. Could it only be practiced by castrating oneself? Yue Fangxing thought as he calmed his qi.

After an unknown amount of time, a cheerful voice sounded beside him, "Big Brother, I've mastered it! Your technique is really great!"

Yue Fangxing came to his senses and was slightly surprised when he heard Qu Feixian. The Soul Transfer Technique, Breath Holding Secret, and Acupoint Release Secret were simple, but for Qu Feixian to master them so quickly, her insight was truly remarkable. He smiled and said, "Little sister, you are truly insightful. You mastered it so quickly. What have you gained?"

Qu Feixian said proudly, "Of course! I just unblocked the twelfth meridian. Now all twelve main meridians are connected. Big Brother, your technique is really great. If I had learned it earlier, I wouldn't have spent five or six years to reach this level."

Yue Fangxing was shocked. Qu Feixian was only thirteen or fourteen years old, yet she had already connected all twelve main meridians. Even in the martial arts world, this would make her a third-rate expert. Her talent was truly remarkable! Even in the current Huashan Sect, there were still a few who hadn't reached this level. Although it was partly due to the techniques he taught her, for her to reach a third-rate level at her age, her future achievements were boundless. She might even be able to avenge her family!

At this moment, Qu Feixian said, "Big Brother, do you have any other techniques to teach me? With this, it won't be long before I can challenge the Shaolin Sect!"

Yue Fangxing smiled, "There are no shortcuts in martial arts. Diligence is the only way!"

Qu Feixian pouted, "I don't believe it. Big Brother, your martial arts are so high, you must have many methods. What were you practicing just now?" She saw Yue Fangxing sitting cross-legged and naturally guessed what he was doing, asking without any hesitation.
