In the sea, Luo Lin was immensely grateful that he had brought the scroll with him. He quickly pulled the scroll from the thigh strap, opened it, wrapped it around the dagger, and rubbed it back and forth a few times. The scroll immediately emitted a faint white light, which flickered and then disappeared, indicating that the spell had been successfully cast. Afterward, the scroll became a useless piece of parchment, while the dagger in his hand was now coated with a layer of white radiance.

The information about the dagger appeared in his mind.

Sharp Iron Dagger

Special Attribute: Sharpness

Sharpness: Increases the minimum level of the target by 3, can be used five times.

Luo Lin felt reassured. With this, the dagger could now kill a target of up to level 7. The shark was level 5, so it was enough to break through its defenses.

At this moment, the shark had already rushed to within two meters, its massive jaws already open, ready to bite him.

Luo Lin focused all his attention on his opponent. His combat instincts, honed from playing games, told him that the shark would touch his body in about half a second, and it would take him one second to initiate a basic stab. To hit the opponent, he had to predict its movements.

These thoughts flashed through Luo Lin's mind like lightning. Almost simultaneously, he adjusted his body and launched the stab without hesitation.

It seemed slow, but it happened in an instant. As Luo Lin activated the skill, the shark had already rushed close. Its speed was incredible, and Luo Lin could clearly feel the water rushing toward him.

His rich combat experience as a legendary warrior once again came to his aid. In a split second, he immediately followed the force of the water, spun around, and narrowly avoided the shark's sharp teeth. At the same time, the dagger in his hand, aided by the spin, successfully delivered the stab.

Luo Lin didn't know exactly where the dagger had hit the shark. He was unfamiliar with the shark's attack patterns and couldn't predict where the dagger would land. He just aimed for the vital areas, and whether he hit them or not was a matter of luck.

With a "thud," the dagger successfully hit the target.

Held in a reverse grip, the dagger struck with great force, like a chisel, deeply embedding itself into the shark's body, all the way to the hilt!

The shark's body convulsed violently from the intense pain, and the immense force almost made Luo Lin lose his grip on the dagger. He could even hear the crack of his wrist bones, and the pain flooded his mind like a tidal wave.

"Damn, this body is too weak, and the strength difference with the shark is too great. My bones are injured... I absolutely cannot lose the dagger!" Despite the excruciating pain in his wrist, Luo Lin gritted his teeth and held onto the dagger handle.

Fortunately, he was using a reverse grip, so the dagger remained in his hand.

In a real fight, the most basic principle is to take advantage of the opponent's weakness and never give them a moment to breathe.

Those who talk nonsense in life-and-death battles are brain-dead!

Ignoring the pain in his wrist, Luo Lin quickly pulled the dagger out of the shark's body, spun around, and launched another stab, driving the dagger into the shark again.

But this time, there wasn't enough time. The injured shark suddenly darted away at an incredible speed, making Luo Lin's second stab miss.

"Damn, the beast got away!" Luo Lin was startled and immediately adjusted his position to prepare for the shark's counterattack.

In the clear seawater, Luo Lin saw the injured shark still swimming at high speed, leaving a long trail of red blood behind it.

It was seriously injured, bleeding profusely, but showed no signs of retreating. It seemed to have been roused to greater ferocity. It circled in the water and charged at Luo Lin again.

Luo Lin took a deep breath through the breathing gel and switched the dagger to his uninjured left hand, preparing to fully engage with the shark's second attack.

It was another swift charge, and the shark's speed seemed unaffected by its injuries. The water churned violently as it swam, and the impact on Luo Lin's face was almost painful.

But this time, Luo Lin was very calm. After the previous encounter, he had a better understanding of the shark's attack patterns, which allowed him to predict more accurately.

The shark attacked.

Luo Lin once again used the turbulent water to dodge, and the dagger in his left hand stabbed the shark again.

This time, he estimated the dagger's landing point, aiming directly for the shark's eye.

A moment later, the two of them crossed paths again.

At that moment, Luo Lin suddenly felt an unbearable pain in his right arm, as if it had been crushed in a mill.

"Damn, I didn't control my right hand well, the movement was too large, and I got bitten." Luo Lin was startled. Reality and games were different, and his control over this new body was not perfect, leaving a small opening.

Despite knowing his hand had been bitten, the opportunity was fleeting, and Luo Lin forced himself to ignore the pain, maintaining the stabbing posture. Stimulated by the pain, the force of the dagger in his left hand increased, and it swiftly pierced the shark.

With a "thud," he felt the dagger in his left hand hit something and easily penetrate, encountering much less resistance than the previous strike.

The sensation of penetration made Luo Lin feel a surge of joy: "I hit its eye!"

Sure enough, the moment the dagger pierced, the pain in his right hand lessened, and the force in the shark's mouth rapidly weakened.

A few seconds later, Luo Lin's right hand was free. He glanced at it and saw a bloody mess, but the shape was still intact. Fortunately, it wasn't broken and should be able to recover.

Looking at the shark that had attacked him, he saw that a dagger was deeply embedded in its eye, and its body was motionless, slowly sinking into the sea.

It was dead.

Immediately, Luo Lin heard the voice of the AI in his mind.

"Successfully cast Stab *2, skill proficiency +10."

"Your Stab proficiency: 1/100 (Proficient)"

"Killed a level 5 Elite Grayback Shark, gained 110 experience points."

"You have reached level 2!"

"Your Strength increased by 2 points."

"Your Vitality increased by 1 point."

"Your Coordination increased by 1 point."

With this information, Luo Lin felt a warm, hot current surge from deep within his body, flowing through his limbs and bones.

In an instant, he felt his entire body return to its best state, no, even better than before.

The intense pain in his right hand rapidly diminished, almost disappearing. When he looked at it, he saw that most of the wounds had healed, leaving only some minor injuries.

"Life energy flowing through the body will rapidly repair all physical injuries," the AI explained.

Luo Lin didn't have time to question the AI's rigid adherence to game rules. He just felt lucky, and even he hadn't expected to kill the shark with one stab.

"This is not luck, Luo Lin. Your long-term training in the game has given you excellent combat instincts. This is your strength!" the AI corrected Luo Lin's thoughts.

"Maybe, but I know I didn't have the confidence to kill it," Luo Lin still felt a sense of relief after the ordeal.

He swam to the surface and headed toward the Dai Wei. While swimming, he felt his strength had increased significantly, his swimming speed was faster, and his fatigue was gone.

A second-rate body at level 2 was equivalent to a first-rate body at level 1. Although Luo Lin still looked thin and weak, his body was now not much different from that of an ordinary teenager.

This was truly a wonderful thing.

But his wonderful feeling lasted only a few seconds before it burst like a bubble.

On the surface of the sea, three blue-gray fins appeared. They were sharks, more sharks, attracted by the intense blood in the water. There were at least three of them!

"My God!" Luo Lin couldn't help but exclaim. He was now weaponless, what could he do?

The brave Luo Lin, who had fought the shark alone, immediately abandoned all thoughts of resistance and swam desperately toward the Dai Wei.

He could see that the people on the ship had already spotted him and had even thrown a rescue rope. But whether he could make it in time was uncertain.

He also noticed something peculiar: a woman in a blue dress appeared on the deck of the Dai Wei, and a feather-like white light was dancing lightly in her hand.

"This is a mage! There's actually a mage on this ship!" Luo Lin was amazed.
