The girl in front of her had on exquisite makeup. She looked to be two or three points similar to Yunyu. She was wearing a big-name dress that was currently in trend, looking cute and playful with a on her face.

Yunyu indeed knew her and they even have a blood relation. She was the child Yunyu’s father, Yun Maoliang, had with another woman when he was still married to Yunyu’s mother. She was only half a year younger than Yunyu. Her name was Yun Weiwei and her mother was Ni Xuejiao. Yun Maoliang had a dignified appearance that was attractive. A few years ago, he left his wife and daughter back at his hometown to work in the city. That was where he met Ni Xuejiao. Ni Xuejiao liked him. The Ni family was from the city and came from a wealthy background. Yun Mao’s heart was moved by her. He fell in love with Ni Xuejiao, had an affair and gave birth to Yun Weiwei. When Ni Xuejiao was pregnant with their second child, Shi Yun Maoliang could not help but to go home and divorce Yunyu’s mother, Feng Xiuzhen.

At that time Yunyu was just over four years old, and Yun Weiwei was half a year younger than her.

Yun Weiwei followed Ni Xuejiao and Yun Maoliang in a car to their remote hometown at the time. She was wearing an exquisite babydoll outfit and was holding a doll in her hands when she arrived. She was well-behaved and cute. Everyone who saw her adored her.

Ni Xuejiao took Yun Weiwei and asked Yun Weiwei to call Grandmother Yun her grandmother.

Grandma Yun was a stubborn old lady who held onto hatred like a grudge. So, she slapped Yun Maoliang on the spot, and did not give Ni Xuejiao and Yun Weiwei a good face.

Yunyu was too young at the time and could not remember many things, but when she looked at Yun Weiwei, who was as beautiful as a doll, and was hugged by Yun Maoliang from the car in her beautiful little leather shoes, the scene was was burned into the deepest part of her memory. .

After growing up, Yunyu never took the initiative to contact Yun Maoliang, but there were many intersections with Yun Weiwei.

The two of them are actually in the same place, but Yun Weiwei lives in the urban area and she lived in a small town. They were about the same age but Yunyu went to school a year earlier. There was not much overlap between elementary and junior high schools, and they both attended different key high schools in the urban area later on. In the end, Yunyu passed the entrance exam and attended the same university as Yun Weiwei in the Imperial Capital. Now, she was about to graduate, but Yun Weiwei was still a junior in her third year.

It was just that Yunyu did not understand what Yun Weiwei was saying.

“What did you say?” Yunyu asked.

Yun Weiwei frowned, “Don’t you know? Your mother was beaten at home because of a paddy field, injuring her right leg. I’m not sure of what happened. I only happened to hear dad mentioning it when I went home two days ago. Your mother originally broke her left leg and this time she injured her right leg. She can only lie on the bed. Grandma is getting older and Yun Sheng is also living in his high school dormitories. Your family’s farm work cannot be done and dad mentioned that he plans on heading back to hire a few people to help out.”

Yun Sheng was Yunyu’s younger brother. Feng Xiuzhen and Ni Xuejiao were pregnant at about the same time.

Because of the divorce, Feng Xiuzhen had Xia Yunsheng early.

Ni Xuejiao gave birth to Yun Weiwei’s younger brother Yun Haoyu at full term. Yun Sheng was only two months older than Yun Haoyu, but his physique was quite different. Yun Sheng was weak and thin, and Yun Haoyu was tall and strong.

What Yun Weiwei said was true. She went home for the holidays two days ago and heard her parents arguing. Her father said that Feng Xiuzhen was injured by someone because of a paddy field. There were only elderly people in the family who had no strong labor and it was peak harvest season. He wanted to go back to his hometown to ask a few small workers to carry out all the farm work in the fields. Her mother disagreed, saying that it had been more than ten years since the divorce yet the old lady still did not recognize him. So why bother going back when she would only scold them.

Anyway, when she came to the Imperial Capital to go to school, her parents were still arguing.

Yunyu did not speak, turned around and left. Yun Weiwei was anxious and pulled her back saying, “Did you hear what I just said? Haven’t you already graduated? Why don’t you go back and have a look. My parents will fight if you don’t go back. I mean since you are still leisurely strolling around school, you must have not found a job. It is better to go home and have a look.”

Yunyu ignored her, broke free of her hand and returned to the dormitory. Angrily, Yun Weiwei stomped her feet on the spot.

When she returned to the dormitory, Yunyu’s face was a little pale, and she felt pain in her heart. Since she inherited Yunyu’s body and memory, naturally connected to her feelings as well. Though she was worried about her family in the Wei Dynasty in her heart, she also had the same feelings for the Yun family. Those were also her mother, grandma, sister and younger brother.

She would also be disgusted when she saw Yun Weiwei.

Knowing that Feng Xiuzhen hurt her right leg, how could you still remain in school. Seeing that she could not find a job while staying in the Imperial City, it was better to go home to see her mother and grandma, and help them through the difficulties at home first. .

Yunyu called Pang Shanshan as she planned to store the large luggage, quilts and other things with her first.

Song Jingjing lives in the company dormitory for the sake of inconvenience.

After Pang Shanshan found out that Mother Yun had an accident, she hurriedly said, “Xiao Yu’er (T/N: 儿 Ér – added behind ones name as a form of endearment. Usually used by people with close relationships i.e. elders, older siblings, confidantes, lovers, or friends. In this case, it was used by a friend as a form of nickname that is endearing), please pack your things and put them on the bed and quickly book the tickets. Don’t worry about things. I will call Jingjing and Fu Cheng to help move your things later when I get off work. You go home to see how Auntie (T/N: 阿姨 āyí – the definition for this is aunt from the maternal side of the family. But in Chinese culture, this is used by the younger generation to address a woman of similar age to one’s parents i.e. parent’s friend, nanny, or a random woman of a much older age) is. If you are not in a hurry to work, you should stay at home for a while.”

Fu Cheng was Pang Shanshan’s boyfriend.

Yunyu thanked her. She hung up the phone and started packing things up busily.

She did not take the big quilts back, just a change of clothes and an old notebook. She stuffed them all into the trolley case and used her phone to check the high-speed rail tickets. The last scheduled train was at 7.00 pm and it was now 6.00 pm. She would not be able to make it. Hence, she had to book a ticket for 6.30 am the next morning. Her home was hundreds of kilometers away from the imperial capital. If one had to take a normal train, she does not know how much time it would take. Now the country’s economy was well developed and there were high-speed rails available. It would take less than four hours to get to the city, and another hour plus to change trains.

She sent a text message to Shanshan and Jingjing, explaining that she would only be heading back the next morning.

When the two of them got off work, they came to help her move her things. Yunyu prepared mineral water for the two of them. Naturally, the spiritual spring water was added. She did not know when she would come back next time. The spiritual spring was also very good for ordinary people. It has a great effect on one’s health. Some minor health problems could be improved and if used long-term, it could wash the meridians, nourish the skin, making the skin white and soft, and some serious diseases can also be gradually improved. After all, this was spiritual energy. Whether it was the heavens and earth and all that is between or human beings, it was the most nurioshing thing.

If the spiritual spring was taken directly, the effects would be even more astounding. Hence, she did not dare let them consume it directly but instead mixed it into water.

This time Fu Cheng did not come. Pang Shanshan said it was because he was working overtime. Yunyu looked at Pang Shanshan’s face and sighed.

The original plan was for Jingjing and Shanshan to bring the luggage to Shanshan’s place but Yunyu suddenly said, “I will be with you. I will go back tomorrow. I don’t know when we will meet next time. I’ll bring my luggage and go directly to the train station from Shanshan’s tomorrow.” The two friends naturally agreed. They have not seen each other in ten days, the last time being the time where they met the trafficker in the food court.

The location was a bit far away. Now the subway was crowded and inconvenient, so they called a cab directly to Shanshan’s residence.

Actually, Pang Shanshan owned real estate in Beijing. Her family was very wealthy, and was engaged in business in the imperial capital. Her parents bought it for her earlier on but because it was far from her workplace, she decided not to live there and rented a house near the company instead. The rent for a room and a living room was a few thousand higher.

After they had settled the things bought, Pang Shanshan received a call from Fu Cheng who said that he would be coming over later.
