Let's take a step back in the story and talk about what happened right before I was transferred to another world.

At that time, I wasn't in the world I came from, nor in the world I'm in now.

I was in a place that could be called a gap, or another dimension.

There, I met a god.

"I, I, I am a god, you see."

"......"

The god that appeared before me didn't really look like a god.

He was too unimpressive and ordinary, and to be frank, didn't seem very smart.

However, he had a simple and honest demeanor that made me believe he would never lie to anyone.

"D, do you have an onigiri?"

"......"

Despite being mocked by those around him, he had an aura that suggested he could create something amazing.

"Y, you are about to be summoned to another world. My dad chose you, you see."

"Dad?"

"Zeus, the king of the gods in heaven, you see."

When I asked what kind of god he was, he replied...

"I, I am Hephaestus, the god of craftsmanship. I'm good at making things, you see."

Hephaestus seemed dull but likable. Or rather, he was a god.

"Until now, the management of summoning to another world was Athena's job. But she hates men and discriminates against summoners, so the other gods complained, you see."

He talked one-sidedly about things I didn't quite understand.

Later, I realized that there was a god who managed the summoning of people from our world to another world, and there was a problem with that god.

"So, this time, as an experiment, the other gods decided to give skills to the summoners. You are my charge. Nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you, too."

I had to be polite because I could sense his sincerity.

"S, so let's give you a skill right away. It's my first time giving someone a skill, so I tried really hard. Here."

Then, something shining appeared from the god's hand.

The light was directed at me.

"I, I am the god of craftsmanship, so I didn't skimp on creating the skill. It might be a bit difficult to handle, but I'm sure you'll be fine, you see."

The light was absorbed into my chest and disappeared.

I felt something inside me merge seamlessly with me.

"I hope you can make full use of the 'Supreme Bearer' I created, you see."

That was the mysterious experience I had just before being summoned to another world.

* * *

From there, after being summoned and meeting the king, I came to this undeveloped land, and I began to understand what that experience was.

The god had given me a skill.

I don't know if the other ten or so summoners had the same experience, but I received a skill.

However, it was a big question why the priest declared me "skill-less," but that was a minor issue.

Now, I will test the power given to me by the god of craftsmanship, Hephaestus.

"Activate, 'Supreme Bearer'...!"

I picked up a sickle from the tools spread on the ground and gripped it.

The area around me was overgrown with grass that hadn't been touched for hundreds of years.

I swung the sickle at the grass.

Zan.

In one stroke, all the grass in sight was cut down and scattered.

It seemed as if a vacuum wave had been emitted from the sickle's blade, as the area affected was dozens of times the reach of the sickle's blade.

That wasn't all.

Ordinarily, weeds are very resilient, and even if you cut them, they will grow back if the roots remain.

But the weeds I cut with my sickle withered and dried up, roots and all.

"Truly, I have reaped life...!"

The power was overwhelming.

Next, I picked up a hoe.

"Once again, 'Supreme Bearer.' Please."

Using a hoe meant tilling the soil, and I thought I would till the area from here to there.

I swung the hoe down.

Then, a shockwave-like force was emitted from the hoe, digging up the ground in a straight line.

The shockwave reached the area I had thought, "I want to till up to there."

"...The effect is clear."

There was no doubt.

The power of the 'Supreme Bearer' given to me by Hephaestus was proven.

The power of the 'Supreme Bearer' I use amplifies the role of the tool I hold to the maximum and beyond!

Holding a sickle makes me a master of the sickle.

Holding a hoe makes me a master of the hoe.

The 'Supreme Bearer' transforms me.

If I hold other tools, it will surely turn me into a variety of masters.

"With this, even the task of developing the land will be easy!"

I want to build an altar and offer an onigiri to Hephaestus for giving me such a convenient skill.

For some reason, I thought that god really liked onigiri.

By the way.

Why did the kingdom's priests judge me as "skill-less" despite being given such an incredible skill?

Hephaestus said,

"The god who was supposed to manage the transfer to another world had a problem, so I took over."

He said something to that effect.

Giving me a skill by Hephaestus was an irregularity.

Furthermore, he claimed to be the god of craftsmanship.

People who make things tend to unconsciously strive for the highest quality when they create something.

As a result, the 'Supreme Bearer' skill was created with the god's full effort and became something that surpassed the realm of a skill.

So, the 'Supreme Bearer' I possess is a skill, yet not a skill, something that transcends a skill.

If I were to name it, I would call it a gift.

A miraculous power given by a god.

If the power given by a god to a person is called a skill,

then the power given by a god to a person as a gift is a gift.

That is the classification of my 'Supreme Bearer.'
