Three months is a short time. For ordinary people, it passes by with work, commuting, drinking, and playing cards. But for Zhang Yang, this period brought a qualitative change. Planning before taking action is the most basic principle.

The vice mayor of Tiancheng City's information is easily found online. Looking at his resume, Zhang Yang's expression turned grim. This was a native of Tiancheng City, who had never left Tiancheng since starting his career, climbing step by step to his current position.

Regarding his family relations, Baidu Encyclopedia did not provide any information. Zhang Yang continued searching and finally found relevant information on a local Tiancheng forum. Wang Yunlai had a son named Wang Tianyu, who had a bad reputation, with countless insults and attacks on the web. Eventually, he found clues about Boss Xiao. Xiao Fei, a southerner, was the general manager of Longtai Real Estate Company and Wang Yunlai's brother-in-law, one of the top real estate tycoons in Tiancheng City.

Zhang Yang was certain this was the backing that Wu Tian mentioned. This was not surprising, as every real estate company would have some connections to the underworld, given the many shady dealings that needed to be handled.

Zhang Yang bit his lip. Now, he needed to see if this Xiao Fei was the man who had abandoned Wang Yue back then.

Zhang Yang searched for Longtai Real Estate Company and found a familiar name in the company's information: Niu Jinda, the general manager of Longtai Property Management.

All the mysteries were solved. It was indeed him. He never thought that the people he had inadvertently provoked were such formidable figures. In the past, even with all his dissatisfaction, Zhang Yang would have chosen to let go of the grudge, as the gap between them was too vast. They could crush him with a single finger, just like last time when he was beaten and thrown into detention.

But I am not the same person I used to be. I will definitely take revenge, no matter how difficult it is. Besides, I am not as weak as I was back then, when I was just a penniless worker.

Zhang Yang took out a piece of paper and wrote down the names of Wang Tianyu, Xiao Fei, Wang Yunlai, Niu Jinda, and Duan Fei.

Money, first, he needed money to deal with Xiao Fei. But once he dealt with Xiao Fei, he would touch the nerve of Wang Yunlai, upgrading his enemy. From another angle, if he dealt with Wang Tianyu, it would be a minor issue, but if things got out of hand, Wang Tianyu would likely seek help from his uncle, Xiao Fei, which would ultimately involve Wang Yunlai.

It seemed that the biggest problem was Wang Yunlai. The thought that his enemy was the vice mayor of the city made Zhang Yang's heart chill!

Difficult! Very difficult! Extremely difficult!

Zhang Yang wrote down three "difficult" words on the paper.

But what does it matter if it's difficult? I still have to take revenge. Is it only allowed for big shots to bully us little people, and not for us to resist?

Zhang Yang recalled the events of the day and suddenly remembered something Wu Tian said: "That girl is a big shot."

A big shot, meaning this girl had a higher status than Wang Tianyu, which was why Wang Tianyu was pursuing her and had people beat him up to please her. If he could win this girl's affection, wouldn't he have a background comparable to Wang Tianyu? Even if he couldn't win her, if he could build a good relationship with her, he might connect with the people behind her and have the possibility of cooperation.

Of course, these were just Zhang Yang's speculations, but they gave him confidence and opened his mind.

As long as he had money, he could meet more people and build his own network. Perhaps he would encounter Wang Yunlai's enemies. Even if no one helped him, with money, he would have the means to take revenge on Wang Tianyu. With money, he could enter the upper echelons of society, and the Wang family, which now seemed formidable, might not be so significant. Ultimately, it all came down to having money and power.

This night of reflection in the hotel had a profound impact on Zhang Yang.

They say a man cannot grow without experiencing women, and without stimulation, he cannot achieve great things. Without hatred, there is no motivation.

Zhang Yang had all these elements, and under various stimuli, he developed a sense of ambition. All of this was pushing him onto a different path from before.

Zhang Yang smoked one cigarette after another. It was time to leave Tiancheng City. If he stayed, he would inevitably come into contact with local forces. With their capabilities, they would surely find out his background and create obstacles for him. After all, he had no power, no money, and had already confronted Niu Jinda. If they connected the dots, they would not let him off easily.

But before leaving, he needed to find the man with the bottle and Duan Fei. If he couldn't deal with their boss, could he at least deal with them? Since they were willing to be lackeys, they should face the fate of lackeys.

After dawn, Zhang Yang drove to the Industrial and Commercial Bank to withdraw the gold he had stored there and placed it in his car. This was his starting capital, which he could not leave in the bank. He needed to convert the gold into cash, as only with money would he have the means to deal with those people. After withdrawing the gold, he stopped his car and stood by it, lighting a cigarette and looking at the nearby Tiancheng University.

Long ago, this was his dream. Now, it seemed he was moving further and further away from it.

Suddenly, he remembered the woman he had seen that day. No wonder she looked familiar; she was the woman from Xiaoyang! Interesting, very interesting. Wait, we will meet again soon.

Zhang Yang did not drive away directly but found a hotel near the highway and checked in. This was his chosen base. Regardless of whether tonight's revenge was successful, he would leave Tiancheng City afterward. The highway was nearby and well-connected, so even if those people found his location, they wouldn't know where he was going.

The gold was neatly arranged in a suitcase. Except for its weight, no one would know that the suitcase contained gold worth millions.

Zhang Yang walked to the front desk and said to the receptionist, "Miss, hello, I have a room booked."

"Sir, may I ask who you are?" The receptionist couldn't see Zhang Yang's face.

"My name is Zhang Li. Please check." Zhang Yang handed over his ID card.

This was a fake identity. When he was with Wang Yue, she always said one should have multiple identities for emergencies. Zhang Yang didn't take it seriously at the time but, to humor her, spent some money to get a few ID cards. Of course, these were expensive, and while they were fake, they had real identities that could be verified at the police station. The people who made these IDs were insiders, so in a sense, they were real.

Zhang Yang never thought he would use these IDs, but this fake identity turned out to be useful.

The receptionist looked at the ID card and nodded. "Mr. Zhang, you have booked a business suite on the eighth floor."

Zhang Yang nodded, completed the check-in procedures, and hid the suitcase under the bed. He then changed into different clothes and left the hotel.

Zhang Yang took a taxi and got off halfway, then changed to two more taxis before arriving at a department store in the city center. He bought a wig, sunglasses, a coat, and other items to change his appearance, then found a fitting room to change.

After putting on the new clothes, wig, and sunglasses, Zhang Yang looked completely different.

After leaving, Zhang Yang found a secluded tattoo parlor after several detours.

The sign on the shop read "Niuwen Tattoo" in large black letters, giving a somber feeling.

Zhang Yang looked around; the tattoo parlor was located in a small alley, unlikely to attract attention, making it a good location.

A young woman in her twenties, seeing Zhang Yang enter, asked enthusiastically, "Sir, do you want a tattoo?"

Zhang Yang nodded. "I want a temporary tattoo. Do you have any?"

The woman's interest waned. "Yes, you can choose one."

Zhang Yang looked at the photos on the wall and quickly chose a wolf pattern. "I'll take this. How long can it last?"

"Up to two months. If you don't like it, you can clean it with alcohol," the woman said.

"I'll take this," Zhang Yang said.

A few hours later, Zhang Yang left the tattoo parlor. A black howling wolf head now adorned his chest, giving a fierce impression if his shirt was open. Since he was going to secretly take revenge on Duan Fei, he didn't want to be recognized. He was confident that even the people who had seen him that day wouldn't recognize him in this disguise.

Finally, Zhang Yang went to a car rental shop, took out another ID card under the name Wang Jun, and rented a Jetta. With this, all his preparations were complete.

Duan Fei, right! Black society boss, right! You want to teach me a lesson, right! Let's see who teaches whom tonight!
