Wei Zhe calmly parked the car, got off, and then closed the car door. Then, he indifferently called out for Wei Mei who had run a distance already. “You’re just going to shop at the mall. Why are you so excited?”
Wei Mei paused, not knowing whether to stop or walk. His face flushed.
“Um…big brother, are we going?” Wei Jing carefully asked from behind Wei Zhe, suddenly pitying Wei Xiao Mei even though he mostly took pleasure in his misfortune. He was delighted to see the person he disliked being embarrassed. It was human nature.
Facing Wei Xiao Jing, Wei Zhe’s attitude softened. The young man nodded and extended his right hand, indicating for the child to hold his hand.
There were all sorts of people in the mall. What if something happens? That’ll be bad.
Wei Zhe barely came to the mall. Normally, the butler would prepare everything he needed, so he only came once or twice. The child’s hand was very small and soft, as though it had no bone. He felt no weight when he held the child’s hand.
As for Wei Mei, he was taken care of by the driver. No matter what, Wei Mei was Wei He’s son. Since his father handed Wei Mei to him, then Wei Zhe obviously needed to make sure he was okay.
At least…nothing can happen to Wei Mei when he was under Wei Zhe’s care.
The mall was huge. Wei Jing easily bought the painting brushes and sketchbooks needed. After all, he was a beginner, so he wasn’t that ambitious. He would just put up with this for now. However, Wei Mei was being difficult. He was picky. He was always meticulous in the food he ate and the clothes he wore. He wasn’t interested in the ordinary clothes in the mall.
Therefore, he threw a tantrum for a while. Seeing that no one bothered with him, he unwillingly chose a jacket.
After all, his mother would come to pick him up later on. He would just endure it for now.
A distant uncle came to pick Wei Mei. The two had met each other a few times, but they didn’t leave a deep impression for one another. When the man appeared, he revealed his motive. Wei Zhe asked, “You know him?”
Wei Mei nodded and said, “My mother called an uncle over to pick me up. I’m going to find my mother.” The way he said it made it seem like Wei Zhe was forcing him to stay here.
Wei Zhe didn’t say anything more since Wei Mei affirmed this. He faintly watched as the two left.
“Big brother, we’re just going to let Wei Mei leave with him? We don’t need to call father and tell him about this?” Wei Jing was a little worried. After all, Wei Mei was still a child. What if he got deceived or kidnapped?
“Don’t worry.” Wei Zhe said faintly and indifferently. “He’s not stupid.”
The corner of Wei Jing’s lips twitched. Wei Zhe made it seem like he was very stupid. He couldn’t continue the conversation.
That’s not right! What if Wei Mei’s mother really ordered someone to pick Wei Mei up? But hwy? Wei Jing touched his chin and pondered over this. In the past life, Wei Mei’s mother had been thinking about becoming the wife of Wei He. Therefore, she always wanted to let Wei Mei live in the residence. But now…she had her son leave the residence.
Plus…Wei Mei didn’t treat big brother the way he thought. He especially hated him. This was completely different from his attitude in his previous life.
Then…what had he forgotten?
“I noticed that you like to be in a daze.”
A slender and bony hand suddenly extended over and lifted the child’s chin. The young man forced him to raise his head to make eye contact. Wei Zhe said, “You seem to be bored whenever you are with me.”
The young man was handsome and his perfect-looking face zoomed in in front of Wei Jing. Even he who was used to his big brother’s handsome appearance had trouble breathing. He panicked and waved his hands, stuttering, “No, no, no!”
The child felt a little wronged. He was thinking about things. He wasn’t in a daze!!
“You…” The young man started talking when an external force bumped into the car window. Despite the car having excellent functions, it braked into a stop. The car bumped into the tree by the road and it let out a huge bang.
“Damnit.” The driver’s face was covered in blood and his fingers trembled, trying to unbuckle his seat belt. “Young master, how are you?”
Wei Zhe’s hand was cut and half of his body was pressed under the car. The sweet metallic scent of blood filled the air and sprinkled on the black leather seats. Wei Jing opened his eyes and blood took over his line of sight. The world had changed colors.
His lips trembled and his body shook. He felt as though cotton candy was shoved into his throat and he couldn’t make any noises. He could only watch the scene in front of him, stunned.
Wei Jing watched as his omnipotent big brother laid there weakly as though he was going to die in the next second.
The sketchbook that he bought was dyed red by the blood like the red lotus blooming from hell, welcoming the return of the dead.
