Chapter 74

The reason why BOSSes have such a high status is not only because they can completely control the lesser monsters with their authority, but mainly because they possess the strength to completely suppress those lesser monsters. Even a non-combat type BOSS like Zhou Tian is still the most powerful existence in his clan, and the power gap between other combat-type BOSSes and ordinary lesser monsters is self-evident.

Now, with a team entirely composed of BOSSes like Zhou Tian, regardless of other factors, their combat strength alone has already reached a very high level. If we add in their various unique abilities, it's possible that Zhou Tian and his team might even be able to take on the Blood Moon Sect's elite squad.

Given the strength of Zhou Tian's team, when they launched an assault on the entrance of the Skeleton Cave, the defensive line formed by the undead monsters naturally couldn't play a significant role.

In the end, despite the undead monsters' efforts to block them, Zhou Tian and his team, relying on their formidable individual strength, directly broke through and entered the heart of the enemy.

It wasn't until they approached the entrance of the Skeleton Cave that Zhou Tian and his team could clearly see the appearance of the enemies they were facing.

"Bone Mages!" Seeing the undead that looked like the namesake monsters from the dark, Zhou Tian muttered the information he had just learned and then charged at the enemy along with the other BOSSes.

Just as the BOSSes were protecting Zhou Tian, the undead monsters also understood the importance of the Bone Mages. Therefore, outside the Skeleton Cave, the undead monsters had deployed a large number of troops to protect the Bone Mages. As a result, when Zhou Tian and his team attacked, the resistance they faced was much stronger than before.

For a moment, due to the desperate resistance of a large number of mid-to-high-level undead monsters, Zhou Tian and his team could no longer break through as easily as before. At the same time, under the life-or-death attacks of the undead monsters, the members of their team soon began to sustain injuries.

"This won't do! With such tight protection, we have no chance of taking down those Bone Mages. You hold off the undead, I'll go deal with the Bone Mages." Seeing that they couldn't break through, the dollmaker, who was anxious, left these words and then directly flew toward the Bone Mages.

The dollmaker not only had formidable strength but was also one of the few monsters that could fly. Now, when the dollmaker took to the air, the resistance that had been troubling Zhou Tian and his team no longer affected her. As a result, when the dollmaker flew toward the Bone Mages, she encountered very little resistance.

In the end, the dollmaker easily approached the entrance of the Skeleton Cave. If nothing unexpected happened, she would soon be able to attack the Bone Mages.

However...

Just as the dollmaker was about to reach her target, focused on how to eliminate the Bone Mages, she overlooked a very important matter.

The Bone Mages were indeed the target of Zhou Tian's team, but this did not mean that the dollmaker would achieve ultimate victory just by getting close to them. After all, the Bone Mages were not mere objects; although they needed the protection of many undead monsters, they themselves were also powerful monsters.

As the dollmaker confidently believed she could easily take down the Bone Mages, the Bone Mages stared at her and then immediately launched an attack.

Fire, ice, lightning...

When the Bone Mages attacked, over a dozen elemental attacks flew toward the dollmaker. Unprepared, the dollmaker was momentarily flustered.

Fortunately, the dollmaker's strength was extraordinary, and her title as the strongest BOSS in the beginner area was not for nothing. She dodged left and right, completely avoiding the attacks from the Bone Mages.

After realizing that the Bone Mages posed a threat to her, the dollmaker became more prepared in her next move. Using her abilities, she flew toward the Bone Mages and controlled several undead monsters to serve as meat shields in front of her.

Given the dollmaker's preparation and strength, under normal circumstances, she would have no problem taking down the Bone Mages. Even Zhou Tian and the other BOSSes, seeing her actions, smiled with relief. Clearly, they all believed that the mission was already a success.

Unfortunately, just as Zhou Tian and the others were about to return, a sudden attack instantly froze their smiles.

A lightning bolt with a diameter of at least three to four meters suddenly fell from the sky. Before anyone could figure out which Bone Mage had cast it, the dollmaker, who was about to reach the Bone Mages, was directly shattered by the massive lightning bolt.

No one expected such an event to occur just as things seemed to be wrapping up, and when the dollmaker died, Zhou Tian and the others found it hard to accept the reality.

Unfortunately, regardless of whether Zhou Tian and the others could accept the reality, the undead monsters didn't care about their feelings. While Zhou Tian and the others were distracted by the dollmaker's death, the undead monsters took the opportunity to attack them.

"Ah!" The BOSSes on the outer perimeter were the first to suffer. Although most of them, with their formidable strength, were not easily killed, some unfortunate BOSSes encountered powerful undead monsters. Normally, they wouldn't have died, but due to the shock of the dollmaker's death, most of the BOSSes were distracted. This gave the undead monsters the chance to kill two more BOSSes shortly after the dollmaker's death.

It wasn't until the cries of the dead BOSSes reached Zhou Tian and the others' ears that they snapped out of their shock. For a moment, whether it was Zhou Tian or the other BOSSes, they all quickly used their abilities.

Several BOSSes combined their various skills and attacked in all directions. Although there were no special effects, the powerful destructive force forced the undead monsters that had cornered Zhou Tian and his team to retreat.

At the same time, Zhou Tian, having recovered, used his resurrection skill.

A beam of light flashed, and the dollmaker, who had died for no reason under a lightning bolt, was resurrected under the surprised gaze of the undead monsters.
