The sky had turned dark, and there weren't many people on the small street. After entering, Luo Tai and Chun Li followed a few steps behind the four Japanese samurai and then rushed forward to beat them up. The four were still walking forward, not yet understanding what was happening, when Luo Tai and Chun Li attacked them from behind with fierce punches and kicks, knocking them to the ground without even a sound.

After knocking the four unconscious, Luo Tai didn't feel his watch vibrate. He was puzzled, raised his wrist, and tapped it, but the watch remained unresponsive.

"Could it be that I have to cripple them for life?" Luo Tai muttered to Chun Li.

"Smack, smack, smack, smack." Upon hearing Luo Tai's words, Chun Li said nothing and went over to shatter the spines of the four men. "Buzz!" As soon as Chun Li crippled them, Luo Tai's watch gently vibrated.

Luo Tai was taken aback, then laughed and said, "It seems that's the case." He checked his watch again.

However, the watch displayed: "Ambushing from behind and crippling someone is not the act of a gentleman. The system issues a warning. Next time, virtue points will be deducted. Note: If virtue points are zero, they will be deducted into negative."

"Damn it," Luo Tai cursed at the watch. It turned out that virtue points could not only be earned but also deducted. Even more absurdly, the watch had become his moral judge!

Luo Tai suddenly realized that from now on, whether in the movie or in reality, he would be tightly bound by this watch. Doing good deeds would earn virtue points, while doing bad deeds would deduct them. However, the judge of good and evil was not the law but this watch.

Think about it, for example, if he did something that didn't break the law, but the system might still judge him as not being a gentleman and deduct virtue points...

Luo Tai shook his head, and the joy from two hours ago was instantly washed away. He shouted at the watch, "I don't want to be a gentleman. I just want to go back and be a normal person. Damn it." The watch, of course, had no reaction. Chun Li also looked at him with a puzzled expression.

Luo Tai looked at the Japanese samurai lying on the ground and said to the watch, "The Japanese invaded China, killed so many people, and did countless heinous deeds. Why doesn't the system do anything? I just crippled a few bastards from behind. Are you watching too many Japanese ethical dramas and feeling sympathy for them?"

"Brother Tai, we need to leave quickly. This place isn't safe, and the military police will be here soon," Chun Li said, looking around.

Luo Tai put away his watch. No matter what, getting angry now wouldn't help. This time, he didn't earn any virtue points, but at least he understood the deeper meaning of virtue points. The watch wasn't sympathizing with the Japanese; otherwise, it wouldn't have rewarded him last time. It was because his behavior was not that of a gentleman.

However, the watch was still thinking too data-driven and too general. Human hearts are unpredictable, and the line between good and evil can sometimes be just a thought.

He nodded to Chun Li and said, "Alright, if we want to cripple Japanese samurai next time, we'll have to face them head-on. We'll cripple them honorably."

With that, he and Chun Li quickly left the street.

They ran back to the Jing Wu Hall and found it very "lively." Many police officers from the security bureau had arrived, and Luo Tai hurriedly asked for the reason.

It turned out that Uncle Gen had hanged himself. And Huo Ting'en had disappeared, causing everyone great worry. Uncle Gen left a suicide note, confessing that he was the one who killed Huo Yuanjia by poisoning the crocodile meat. He had been living in fear and now felt he had no face to show in the Jing Wu Hall, so he chose to die to atone for his sins to Master Huo.

Luo Tai naturally knew that Uncle Gen didn't commit suicide but was strangled by Ah Xiang and then hung. Ah Xiang had colluded with the Japanese and conspired with Uncle Gen, promising to get Uncle Gen's son out of prison in Shandong in exchange for Uncle Gen poisoning Huo Yuanjia.

After the deed was done, Uncle Gen's son was not released, so Uncle Gen and Ah Xiang had a falling out. Afraid that the truth would come out, Ah Xiang killed Uncle Gen.

Huo Ting'en's disappearance had nothing to do with this. He must have been so upset these past two days that he went to the brothel to find his favorite prostitute, Xiao Hong, to pour out his heart.

Uncle Gen's death wasn't a big deal; such a person should have died long ago. However, Luo Tai didn't gain any virtue points from this. He had earned 100 virtue points for crippling the Japanese samurai and then won a good prize, temporarily forgetting about the plot. His focus on crippling Japanese samurai had been somewhat counterproductive.

He found Uncle Nong and asked, "Where's Ah Xiang?"

"Ah Xiang?" Uncle Nong didn't understand why Luo Tai suddenly asked about Ah Xiang. He shook his head and said, "I don't know. What do you need him for?"

Luo Tai wanted to say that Ah Xiang was a traitor and had colluded with Uncle Gen. But he thought that if he said this, no one would believe him. After all, Ah Xiang had been at the Jing Wu Hall for many years and had deeper ties with everyone than Luo Tai. Unless, like in the movie, the Japanese exposed him.

"I have something to do. Can you help me find him?" Luo Tai said.

"Sure." Uncle Nong didn't ask more and turned to a few disciples, saying, "Find Ah Xiang and bring him here. Mr. Luo has something to discuss."

The disciples responded and began searching for Ah Xiang.

Uncle Nong then shook his head and said to Luo Tai, "I never thought the Jing Wu Hall would have a traitor. Old Huo really died unjustly. This grudge must be taken out on the Japanese. Sigh... It seems Chen Zhen was right when he said Old Huo was poisoned, but no one believed him at the time. By the way... Where's Ting'en? Mr. Luo, have you seen Ting'en?"

"Oh..." Luo Tai sat down and said, "I saw him this afternoon, but I'm not sure where he is now."

After a while, the disciples returned and reported that they had searched the entire Jing Wu Hall but couldn't find Ah Xiang.

Uncle Nong, holding his pipe, asked Luo Tai, puzzled, "Mr. Luo, did you know Ah Xiang before? You seem very eager to find him. What's going on?"

Luo Tai thought for a moment and said, "Uncle Nong, I can't say right now, but you'll understand later. Um... Uncle Nong, can you give me some silver dollars? I need to go out and take care of something."

Uncle Nong immediately took out a few silver dollars from his pocket and handed them to Luo Tai.

Luo Tai took the silver dollars and said, "Thank you."

Uncle Nong waved his hand and said, "Mr. Luo, you're too polite. You donated all your assets to the Jing Wu Hall. A few silver dollars are nothing. In the future, if you need money, just go to the accounting office and record it."

Luo Tai put the silver dollars in his pocket and stood up, saying, "I'll go out and take care of things. I think Master Huo will be back soon."

"Sure, sure, go ahead," Uncle Nong smiled.

Luo Tai took the silver dollars and left the hall with Chun Li. He didn't need the silver dollars but planned to go to the brothel to find Huo Ting'en and help redeem Xiao Hong. This was something Uncle Nong did in the movie, and now Luo Tai was taking over.

He did this partly to see if the system would reward him with virtue points. Redeeming a prostitute should be considered a good deed, right?

The Yi Hong Brothel was a large brothel, which, in modern terms, would be a high-end entertainment club. It wasn't hard to find. The brothel had four floors, which was considered a high-rise for that era.

When Luo Tai and Chun Li arrived, it was the busiest time of the day. The entrance was brightly lit, and several women in elaborate clothing stood there, smiling and waving at the men entering and passing by.

All the visitors were men.

When Luo Tai was about five or six meters from the brothel, a woman in a purple cheongsam, exuding a strong scent of cosmetics, approached him.

"Hey, sir, you look so spirited today. We have some new girls today, each more beautiful than the last. Why don't you come in and take a look?" The woman immediately grabbed Luo Tai's arm, her tight chest pressing against him.

Luo Tai felt uncomfortable. He seemed to have reverted to his old habit of blushing when he saw women. He pushed the woman's hand away and said, "Uh... we are going in... you don't need to hold us, we'll go in... no need to be so enthusiastic..."

The woman smiled and nodded, then asked, "We?"

"Of course." Luo Tai turned and pointed to Chun Li, "There's her too."

"Oh, sir... this is a place for men, and she's a woman."

"It's fine, it's fine... don't worry, uh... we'll pay you anyway." Luo Tai said as he and Chun Li walked in.

"Sir, who is this lady?" the woman in purple asked curiously.

"My wife," Luo Tai replied.

Hearing this, the women at the entrance were stunned.

They thought, "This guy is really something, bringing his wife to a brothel..."
