Chapter 47

Wen Zhengyu was just joking, even though Li Shungyu's wink today really scared him. However, just now, while watching the movie "Friends," it sparked a small desire to perform in him, and he thought it would be nice to practice with Li Shungyu.
Wen Zhengyu, after all, was born and raised in Korea. Even though he grew up in a super-privileged environment, which refers to material conditions, such as the high-end learning environment of the Seoul National School and the central villa area of Gangnam. But that was just high-end, not disconnected from society. What he lacked was information about entertainment. But these could be quickly caught up.
So, having a friend of the same age and being able to practice together without worrying too much about formalities was the best thing. It was truly a combination of learning and fun. It could improve his studies without being boring, which was great. If he were not Korean, he wouldn't understand their pain and joy in the etiquette towards seniors and juniors.
There's no such thing as getting used to it or not. If you do manual labor every day, carrying bags and transporting mud and sand, you will get used to it over time. But it would still be more tiring than sitting in an office, physically. Where does the pain of this etiquette lie? It lies in the fact that everyone is an individual, and as an individual, you have your own thoughts. But because of the constraints of etiquette, sometimes you have to unconditionally obey your seniors and elders. The joy comes from the same place. If you are a senior or elder, you enjoy the power to control others.
That's why Koreans cherish their peers and relatives. Of course, this doesn't include those with very good relationships. Juniors can work hard for seniors, and seniors can take care of juniors in various aspects. Everything has multiple sides, and this is life. However, note the "however." This cannot make people accept... a girl living in a strange boy's bedroom, especially when they are alone, even if they are not very old.
The movie was watched intermittently, and the last session took three hours. Adding the previous session and the discussion about the performance, it was already 2 AM. Li Shungyu was so sleepy that she couldn't keep her eyes open, and Wen Zhengyu was also tired.
He went up to shake Li Shungyu awake and said to her, who opened her eyes but was still unfocused, "Go back to sleep, don't catch a cold." After this, until the next morning, Wen Zhengyu didn't say another caring word. What exactly happened during this time?
Seeing that Li Shungyu still had no reaction, Wen Zhengyu frowned and shook her shoulder again, "Hey, go back to sleep. It's very late." Li Shungyu finally came to her senses.
She rubbed her face hard and stood up weakly, almost tripping at the door. Finally, she left the house, and Wen Zhengyu returned to his bedroom. He didn't want to shower and decided to do it in the morning. He turned off the light, took off his clothes, and got into bed. He felt he would fall asleep in less than a minute. Slowly, Wen Zhengyu was about to drift off to sleep...
"Knock, knock, knock. Knock, knock, knock." The knocking sound woke up Wen Zhengyu, who was about to fall asleep.
He didn't pay much attention but frowned in confusion. The knocking should be upstairs, so why did it sound so close? And it wasn't urgent, as if afraid to wake someone. Why knock if you're afraid to wake someone? The knocking stopped after a while, and Wen Zhengyu was a bit annoyed. His frown slowly relaxed, and he was about to fall asleep again...
"Buzz... buzz..." He reached out his hand from under the covers and felt for his phone on the pillow.
He picked it up without looking and answered, "Who is it? Don't you know what time it is..."
"Hey, open the door."
Wen Zhengyu paused and sat up instinctively. He turned on the light, walked out of his bedroom, and gently opened the front door. Li Shungyu, holding her phone, walked in from outside.
Wen Zhengyu looked surprised, "What? Was that you knocking? On my door?"
Li Shungyu sat on the sofa, leaning to one side, "I didn't have my key, and it was too late to wake them up."
Wen Zhengyu widened his eyes, "So you knocked on my door?! You're not afraid of waking me up?!"
He pointed upstairs, "I bet your knocking already woke them up."
Li Shungyu glared at him, "It's all your fault! You insisted on practicing and watching the movie twice! You didn't even remind me when I fell asleep."
Wen Zhengyu narrowed his eyes, "If I didn't remind you, you would have slept until morning."
He frowned and looked at her, "Besides, I invited you to watch the movie, didn't I? You came on your own, right?"
Li Shungyu sat up suddenly, gritting her teeth, ready to say something. Wen Zhengyu waved his hand helplessly, "Alright, I don't want to argue with you in the middle of the night. What should we do now? Sleep here?"
Li Shungyu pouted and glared at him, but then lowered her head, conflicted, "Stay here? That's not good, is it?"
Wen Zhengyu paused, trying hard to hold back his frustration, and walked to his bedroom. A moment later, he came out with a set of bedding, "There are so many bedrooms here, pick one. The bedding was already here when I arrived. Your father paid for it, so I doubt you'll mind... hurry up. I'm waiting for you!"
Li Shungyu stood up, instinctively stepping back, "Hey, can't you be nicer? What are you up to, letting me stay here?"
Wen Zhengyu was taken aback, looking at Li Shungyu's worried face, closed his eyes, and took a deep breath. A moment later, he smiled gently at her, "Why don't you go knock on their door upstairs?"
Li Shungyu fidgeted with her fingers, muttering something. Wen Zhengyu tightened his grip on the bedding but kept his smile, "Why don't you stay here for the night... I remind you, it's 2:30 AM."
Li Shungyu pouted and glared at him, "I don't trust you. You can act so well in front of the movie, you must have a dark mind."
Wen Zhengyu slowly put away his smile and narrowed his eyes at her, "What do you want? Give me a clear answer."
Li Shungyu hesitated, and as Wen Zhengyu's expression grew more serious, she finally spoke timidly, "How about... you go find a hotel. I... I'll stay here."
Wen Zhengyu stood there, stunned. Li Shungyu continued, "It's just for one night, it'll be over soon."
With a bang, Li Shungyu was startled. Wen Zhengyu suddenly threw the bedding onto the sofa with force, his face calm, but his actions were swift and decisive. Then... nothing happened.
Li Shungyu was silent for a moment, confirming that the bedroom was really unresponsive. Her chest rose and fell slowly. Clenching her fists tightly, she suddenly ran over and kicked the door to Wen Zhengyu's bedroom hard.
"Ouch!" The door, of course, didn't open because it was locked. Li Shungyu hopped on one foot for a while, finally calming down a bit, and angrily pounded on the door, "Hey! You little brat! What do you mean by this?! Open the door! Hey!"
In the bedroom, Wen Zhengyu covered himself with the blanket, placing a pillow on his head to block out the noise. Even though he couldn't hear the sound, he could feel the vibrations from the door.
"Ah!" Wen Zhengyu couldn't hold back and forcefully threw off the blanket, stood up, and opened the door, shouting, "Are you done...?"
Li Shungyu kicked at him, and Wen Zhengyu dodged. Despite this, Li Shungyu pounced and started pounding on him.
It turned out that Wen Zhengyu wasn't without a temper. On the contrary, his usual calm demeanor and lack of emotional fluctuations were because there was nothing that truly bothered him.
However, if something did bother him, he wouldn't hold back. If you can be so inconsiderate, I won't hold back either, no matter who you are.
But at this moment, Wen Zhengyu only wanted one thing: to sleep. He gritted his teeth, grabbed the still struggling Li Shungyu, and dragged her to the opposite bedroom. Li Shungyu was strong, but not as strong as Wen Zhengyu, who had a red-black belt in Taekwondo.
The floor was slippery, and Li Shungyu pressed her body low, using her arms to resist, but she was still dragged into the opposite bedroom.
Once they reached the bed, he picked up Li Shungyu and threw her onto the bed. Li Shungyu was dazed for a moment, and when she came to her senses and tried to jump off, she was hit by a pillow and a blanket, which pinned her to the bed.
But would this make the lioness-like Li Shungyu give up? Of course not. When Wen Zhengyu returned to his bedroom and was about to lie down, the bedroom door was kicked open again with a bang.
Wen Zhengyu's eyes snapped open, and he looked at the cold-faced Li Shungyu walking in. The light in his eyes was already fierce.
But Li Shungyu wasn't afraid of him and met his gaze. However, she didn't know that what was about to happen would become a special memory in her heart for a long time.
