After class, Li Yayuan knew she was in the wrong and, without waiting for Jin Taeyeon to say anything, ran out of the classroom with quick steps. With classmates all around, Jin Taeyeon, who was usually introverted, couldn't just run out like Li Yayuan.
Helplessly, she let Li Yayuan run away. In Korean middle and high schools, the last two classes in the afternoon are usually quite relaxed. Some schools dismiss early, while others arrange some less important classes. On that day, Song Huirin had waited for her for so long because the last two classes were not important, so she stayed in the activity room.
Looking at the schedule, the next two classes were handicrafts. This meant she could take leave to go to Seoul for practice. Jin Taeyeon went to find Wen Zhengyou and told him that she had an appointment with a teacher for a class. Wen Zhengyou was busy editing the program and didn't pay much attention.
Jin Taeyeon, with her backpack, asked for leave from the teacher. Her situation was similar to Wen Zhengyou's, but she didn't have as much leniency as him, so the teacher easily granted her leave for the last two classes. Not finding Li Yayuan anywhere, Jin Taeyeon just sent her a text message saying she was going to Seoul for practice and would settle accounts with her the next day.
Before leaving, Jin Taeyeon stopped, turned, and quietly walked towards the abandoned teaching building at the back of the mountain. What she didn't know was that in just a few short days, she had advanced to a level she had never imagined. Although she was no longer in sight, the topic of her was far from over.
Li Yayuan ran and looked back, afraid of being caught by Jin Taeyeon. Fortunately, the next class was handicrafts, so she didn't have to be in the classroom and wouldn't have to sit next to her. With a light exclamation, Li Yayuan bumped into something and instinctively fell backward, sitting on the ground.
Frowning, she looked up and, upon seeing who it was, quickly stood up and bowed, "I'm sorry, senior."
Liu Shangmin glared at her coldly, "What the hell? Running in the hallway and not watching where you're going!"
Li Yayuan lowered her head and fidgeted with her hands, not daring to say a word.
Song Huirin stopped Liu Shangmin and looked at Li Yayuan with a strange expression, then smiled and stepped forward, "Did you hit me, Yayuan?"
Li Yayuan looked at Song Huirin in surprise, "Does the president remember me?"
Song Huirin smiled and put an arm around her, leading her forward, "How could I forget? You recommended Jin Taeyeon to participate in the school celebration event, and I haven't thanked you yet. Come on, senior will buy you a drink."
Li Yayuan's face lit up with surprise, and she quickly bowed and turned, "Then I'll go find Taeyeon."
Liu Shangmin frowned and glared at her, "I'm buying you a drink, why are you looking for her?"
Li Yayuan looked puzzled, and Song Huirin glanced at Liu Shangmin, who turned her head and said nothing.
Song Huirin smiled and pulled Li Yayuan toward the school convenience store, "Jin Taeyeon will definitely go to the activity room to practice with Zhengyou. How could she have time? If the school celebration event is successful, we can invite her to the gathering later."
Li Yayuan nodded in understanding and followed Song Huirin with a smile. Inside the convenience store, Liu Shangmin bought the drinks, and Song Huirin led Li Yayuan to a corner table and sat down.
Song Huirin looked at Li Yayuan, "What do you want to drink? Go tell Shangmin to buy it for you."
Li Yayuan quickly waved her hands, "No need, I'll drink whatever Shangmin senior buys."
Song Huirin smiled and waved her hand, "Don't be so formal. I was a bit cold to you before because I wasn't familiar with you. You should understand that with so many people in the literary club and me being the female president, I have to be a bit strict to manage. Even though it's a loose club, there are still many things to handle."
Li Yayuan nodded, "Yes, I've always admired you. You seem so capable, like a strong woman in a TV show."
Song Huirin smiled casually. Liu Shangmin had already bought the drinks, and Song Huirin opened one and handed a bottle of juice to Li Yayuan, who felt somewhat flattered. She was usually clumsy and not very respected by her classmates.
Song Huirin, being both a senior and a school celebrity, usually didn't pay much attention to her. Now, with such a friendly invitation and a gentle attitude, Li Yayuan felt the drink was much sweeter.
Song Huirin took a sip and looked out the window casually, "I happened to pass by the activity room just now and heard Jin Taeyeon and Zhengyou practicing. I didn't expect her to sing so well. No wonder she goes to Seoul for professional training."
Li Yayuan nodded quickly, "Taeyeon really sings well, but she doesn't like to show it, so she doesn't let me say. In our class, only I have heard her sing, and the other students only know that she often goes to Seoul for practice. She's very low-key."
Song Huirin chuckled, "Low-key... I doubt she can stay low-key after this."
Li Yayuan was taken aback, not quite understanding.
Liu Shangmin frowned and spoke, "Do you know why I asked you to come here today?"
Li Yayuan answered instinctively, "To... to have a drink?"
Song Huirin laughed, and Liu Shangmin couldn't help but laugh and hit her on the head, "You're in the second year of junior high, and you're still such a silly girl, Qinka..."
Li Yayuan rubbed her head and looked at Song Huirin in confusion.
Song Huirin paused and then smiled, "It's like this. I will graduate at the end of this semester. The literary club has become the largest club in the school because of Zhengyou's joining. After I leave, he will definitely be the president. But as you know, he is usually busy with the school celebration and rarely comes to school."
Li Yayuan nodded obediently, listening carefully.
Song Huirin continued, "Although Jin Taeyeon also goes to Seoul for practice, she still comes to class every day and spends more time at school. So, I want to understand her character and other aspects to consider making her the vice president of the literary club."
Liu Shangmin looked at Li Yayuan and frowned, "You and Jin Taeyeon are friends, and senior has explained her intention. Don't wait for senior to ask, just tell me what you know. Understand?"
Li Yayuan nodded quickly, "Yes. I... I will tell senior. But I don't know what senior wants to know?"
Song Huirin suddenly put on a serious face and looked straight into Li Yayuan's eyes, "Tell me everything you know... can you do that?"
Li Yayuan looked at Song Huirin, then at Liu Shangmin, and after a moment, nodded lightly, "Okay."
Jin Taeyeon walked into the abandoned teaching building and saw the diary first. For some reason, Jin Taeyeon no longer felt like she was avoiding the outside world by coming here. The feeling of gain and loss no longer matched the mindset she had when she first found this place and came here alone.
Biting her lip, Jin Taeyeon took out a cushion and laid it down, then picked up the diary. She looked at the folded page and pursed her lips as she opened the diary. Indeed, there was a new message.
But just reading the first sentence made her jump up involuntarily, carefully checking the surroundings, her face turning paler. After a while, she found nothing and pouted as she sat down. Her breathing was a bit heavy.
"Wait! I caught a few caterpillars to pass the time, don't sit on them... Okay. I bet you jumped up, so the caterpillars probably ran away, O(∩_∩)O. Actually, you're right, caterpillars and ghosts are not scary, people are. Because making someone sad doesn't necessarily mean hitting or scolding them. Sometimes the opposite can also be a burden. That's why I come here, because it's quiet. I don't have to deal with so many people like I do outside."
Jin Taeyeon nodded involuntarily and continued reading.
"Have you seen 'The Touch'? Not just watching it, but being able to apply it flexibly. But I welcome your dislike. Because I've never experienced what it feels like to be hated by someone. (PS: I'm serious. ^_^)"
Jin Taeyeon chuckled and muttered, "Arrogant."
"Do you remember what I said in my first message? It's 2003, and everyone having a mobile phone is a must. Getting this space is simple, just give me your number, and I won't come here again, leaving it all to you."
Jin Taeyeon frowned slightly, her expression becoming colder. But as she read on, she felt a strange sensation.
"Unfrown. If you're still frowning here, where can you truly relax? I know you won't give it to me easily. If you were a casual girl, you probably wouldn't come here alone to cry and laugh, showing your true self. But I like to set goals for myself, no matter what. Getting your number is a task I set for myself. But I promise, I won't meet you until I get it. Now stand up, turn around, and walk to the stairs leading to the second floor."
Jin Taeyeon didn't expect him to guess that she was frowning. Who was this person? It was as if he was watching her from somewhere nearby. Could he really be a ghost? But following the instructions in the message, she subconsciously stood up and walked to the middle of the stairs leading to the second floor.
Looking up, she saw a quiet area above, which she had never noticed or seen before.
"If one day we come here one after the other, whoever comes first can go to this area to avoid the other. Even if the other person knows you or I are up there, they won't come up to look. This is the method I came up with, I wonder if you're satisfied. Well, I'm leaving. I won't be like you, always coming and going and never leaving. I'll leave a message next time, hoping you are really beautiful, even if you're not. O(∩_∩)O"
Jin Taeyeon smiled and walked up to the second floor, sitting down and starting to write a message. This indicated that she accepted the other person's suggestion. If they really met, she would hide here so the other person wouldn't see her. Clearly, this kind of interaction would continue.
