There are many things that cannot be taught. A person's fate is determined by heaven. A person's character is also like this. Moon Jung-woo just doesn't understand, but he isn't foolish. Repeatedly, people have pointed out the problems with his current situation. Even if he doesn't know why these are called problems, since they prevent him from debuting, he will certainly try his best to change.
Lying in bed, Moon Jung-woo looked at the ceiling. For a normal person, regardless of who they are, whether they mature early or late, they generally start to form their overall character around the age of thirteen or fourteen. People are the most complex. What makes them complex? It's the variety of temperaments. He believed that he didn't have any obvious flaws or problems, because now was the time to shape himself. However, while ordinary people are gradually shaped by their surroundings, he had to add some artificial factors to himself.
Thinking about this, Moon Jung-woo suddenly felt enlightened. Perhaps, he really had some issues. He could analyze and arrange things so thoroughly, even controlling and planning the most unpredictable and inscrutable aspects of human nature, which was itself somewhat cold and mechanical, and perhaps even made people dislike and find him boring.
He might still be deeply influenced by his father. Moon Jung-woo was grateful that he left early, otherwise, even if he could be taught social etiquette and skills in the future, that would only be a kind of skill, and he would gradually lose himself. My nature is not like this; otherwise, how could I have made the decision to leave home and come here?
Determined, he decided to find Lee Soon-gyu tomorrow and make sure to change. Before debuting, isn't it necessary to learn not only singing and dancing but also etiquette, physical training, and artistic sense? He would ask her what he should do. Even if she was "angry" because of his recent experiment with his ideas and slapped him, he would still have to ask her for help. As a senior, while enjoying the respect of juniors, doesn't she also have the responsibility to teach them?
Slowly closing his eyes, Moon Jung-woo finally felt tired. The day seemed longer than his entire life, with more events happening. All these experiences had left him extremely exhausted both physically and mentally. If it weren't for the various unresolved matters, he would have collapsed long ago. Now that he could finally break free from the constraints of his family and his father's control to do what he wanted, he felt completely relaxed.
Tomorrow, everything will start anew. I will work hard and move forward...
The night seemed to calm down. Even though it was still very cold outside, the moonlight shone through the window as usual, illuminating the room. Through the glass, Moon Jung-woo's breathing gradually became even. He was about to... fall asleep.
"Ah!" A light cry suddenly rang out, followed by the light being turned on. Moon Jung-woo, holding his head, sat up in bed with a pained expression. Just as he was about to fall asleep, he suddenly felt an excruciating headache, and a buzzing sound filled his ears. There were always noises in his ears, but he couldn't hear what they were. Maybe he was having a nightmare? He was very tired today, and his head was injured.
He opened his eyes and felt the pain slowly fade. After a long sigh, he stood up and walked to the wardrobe. He opened his bag and found a mirror. Moon Jung-woo parted his hair and looked at the wound inside. The bandage was removed, but the wound wasn't bleeding anymore. Apart from the clear red medicine, there was nothing different. Why did his head hurt so much just now?
Silently putting the mirror back, Moon Jung-woo remained silent for a while, then carefully lay back in bed, turned off the light, but didn't dare to close his eyes. The pain just now wasn't a dream. It wasn't an illusion; it was real pain. It felt like his head was about to explode, buzzing louder and louder, but he couldn't hear anything else.
He didn't dare to close his eyes for a while, still feeling a lingering fear. Even with his calm nature, he couldn't help but feel a sense of fear about the pain. However, the human body is not something that can be continuously controlled by willpower. Finally, he couldn't resist the drowsiness and gradually fell asleep. Perhaps only when he woke up again would he realize that his eyes didn't hurt this time.
"Moon Jung-woo..." "Moon Jung-woo!" "You brat!!!"
Suddenly startled awake, Moon Jung-woo sat up. It was already morning. It felt like he had just closed his eyes and opened them again, the only difference being that his fatigue was gone. He subconsciously touched his eyes, surprised that they didn't hurt after sleeping. Frowning and thinking for a while, Moon Jung-woo couldn't figure out why. He turned to get out of bed and put on his shoes...
"Ouch." Frowning at Lee Soon-gyu, who was also holding her head, Moon Jung-woo spoke softly, "What are you doing here?" Lee Soon-gyu was taken aback, opened her mouth, and pointed at Moon Jung-woo, seemingly forgetting the pain in her head: "You... Are you ignoring me? You don't remember that I woke you up just now?"
Moon Jung-woo thought for a moment, remembering that he didn't dream last night. The cry he heard just before waking up must have been from her. Without saying anything, he walked to the bathroom to brush his teeth: "Do you have the key to this room?" Lee Soon-gyu leaned against the bathroom door: "I'm the manager of the trainees, so of course I have the keys to the dormitory."
After washing his face, Moon Jung-woo took out his toothbrush and toothpaste and started brushing his teeth, asking indistinctly: "Doesn't that make me very vulnerable? You can come in anytime." With a splash, a string of keys was thrown over: "You're the first trainee to stay in the boys' dormitory, so from now on, it's your responsibility... Hurry up. If I don't call you, you won't get up. Being late on the first day shows no sincerity."
Rinsing his mouth, Moon Jung-woo wiped the toothpaste foam from his mouth and suddenly turned to look at her. Although his face was calm, he didn't say anything. Lee Soon-gyu was taken aback, looked herself up and down, and glared at him: "What? Is there something about me that you don't like?" Moon Jung-woo remained silent for a moment, frowned, and asked: "Don't you think it's inappropriate to stand here?"
Lee Soon-gyu pouted: "What's inappropriate about it?" Moon Jung-woo paused, nodded, walked to the toilet, and unbuttoned his pants to sit down. Lee Soon-gyu's eyes widened, and she screamed, instantly turning and slamming the door shut, then kicked it hard: "Hey!! You... You actually... took off your pants in front of me."
"It's in front of you, but I'm closer to the toilet, so it's normal... And I asked you, and you said it was fine. If I cared, it would show that I have a problem with my senior." Lee Soon-gyu's face turned cold: "Sitting on the toilet makes you talk more. It seems you are indeed closer to it."
There was no sound from inside the room for a while. Just when Lee Soon-gyu thought she had finally won the argument, the sound of flushing came, and the door opened. Moon Jung-woo, having adjusted his pants, walked out and looked at Lee Soon-gyu: "Being closer to the toilet than to you... Do you think that's something to be proud of? It seems that not only do I need to reflect and change my character, but some of your thoughts also need to be improved."
Lee Soon-gyu made a gesture at Moon Jung-woo as he walked into the bedroom, muttering to herself. When Moon Jung-woo came out, she glared at him and grumbled as she walked forward: "What a family background, no manners or upbringing at all. Judging by your upbringing, it's probably not that high-end." Moon Jung-woo heard her but didn't care. He put the keys in his pocket and was about to leave with Lee Soon-gyu when he suddenly felt a pain in his eyes again. It wasn't as intense as last night, but there was a sense of something about to burst.
"Ah." Clutching his head, he crouched down. Lee Soon-gyu, who was walking ahead, didn't notice for a while, frowned, and turned back to scold him. She saw the door open, Moon Jung-woo sitting on the floor, holding his eyes, and looking very distressed. Lee Soon-gyu was taken aback and quickly ran over: "Hey. What's wrong? Is it your head from yesterday..."
Moon Jung-woo slowly looked up at Lee Soon-gyu, her voice getting softer, but the buzzing in his ears started again. This time, it wasn't an indistinct buzzing but had a rhythm and melody.
It was a feeling of about to explode. Moon Jung-woo stood up suddenly, ignoring the pain from bumping into the table, and ran into the bedroom: "Pen! Paper! Give me a pen and paper! Hurry!"
Lee Soon-gyu was startled, not understanding why he, who was usually calm and indifferent, was suddenly so agitated. Was it because of the pain? She cautiously followed to the door and saw him frantically searching for something, muttering to himself.
After searching for a while without finding anything, he suddenly turned, his eyes already red: "Pen and paper! Hurry! I can't take it anymore!" Lee Soon-gyu took a step back: "You're the first one to move in, so you probably don't have them... What are you doing?!"
Moon Jung-woo grabbed her: "To your room! Hurry!!"
Dragging Lee Soon-gyu out the door and up the stairs, even though he was about to explode, he remembered that Lee Soon-gyu had gone upstairs when she left yesterday. Lee Soon-gyu was dragged up a floor, and when he tried to drag her again, she pulled him back: "This floor is... What's wrong with you? You're scaring me."
Just as she opened the door, Lee Soon-gyu didn't have time to stop him, and Moon Jung-woo rushed in first. A few screams came from inside, and Lee Soon-gyu, covering her head, hurried in to calm things down. The room wasn't just hers; several trainees had just woken up and were probably still in their nightclothes. To prevent Moon Jung-woo from barging in, she took him directly to her bedroom. She lived alone, so the door was closed, leaving the other trainees staring at each other with strange expressions, whispering among themselves.
"Paper and pen! Hurry!!" Lee Soon-gyu noticed that he seemed to be having a fit but didn't look like he was in pain, so she wasn't as anxious as before. She searched impatiently, frowned, and said: "What's the rush? You just keep urging me!" After a while, she found the paper and pen and handed them to Moon Jung-woo: "Here you go."
Moon Jung-woo looked delighted, took them, and started to write down the melody he heard in his ears. Yes, it was getting clearer, and it was a melody. This melody was the reason his head was getting more and more congested, making him feel like his head was about to explode. He had a hunch that writing down these melodies would relieve his symptoms, which was why he had been looking for paper and pen.
However... at least the pen should be able to write, and the paper should be... unused.
He snapped the pen in half and crumpled the paper with a character portrait on it and threw it aside. Moon Jung-woo's eyes turned even redder, and he panted heavily. He slowly approached Lee Soon-gyu. Lee Soon-gyu wanted to explain and find something else, but she was scared by Moon Jung-woo's condition.
Just as she closed her eyes and backed up to the table, about to scream, and just as Moon Jung-woo was about to do something he didn't know what, a square, cool object appeared between them, magically resolving the awkward and tense situation. This square, cool object... was a penless notebook.
Its proper name... a portable computer.
