Ch254 - Mechanism Island

Edited by Zaki

Under the eager anticipation of the cultivators of the Shengtian Continent, the date for the appearance of the Mechanism Island had finally arrived. On this day, the east bank of Jiang City was full of cultivators, crowds of people, shoulder to shoulder, all looking forward for the appearance of the Mechanism Island. Liu Mufeng and Jiang Xu were also among the crowd.

When the sun rose to its highest, and the sunlight scattered on the surface of the sea, the morning fog on the sea scattered wisp by wisp. Amidst the layers of mist, something suddenly appeared on the originally empty sea.

“The Mechanism Island has appeared, the Mechanism Island has appeared.” Looking at the island emerging from the mist, the cultivators shouted excitedly.

Many cultivators couldn’t wait to fly towards the Island. Liu Mufeng and Jiang Xu also followed the flow of people and flew towards the misty island.

The Mechanism Island was only limited to cultivation realm, not to age. Therefore, any cultivator whose strength was below the Spiritual Profound Realm, no matter if you are at the Spiritual Emperor Realm, Spiritual King Realm, or Spiritual Master Realm, Spirit Mortal Realm, or Spiritual Realm, no matter if you were hundreds or thousands of years old, you could go. As long as you were not a cultivator at the Spiritual Profound Realm, you could enter the island.

Following the other cultivators, Liu Mufeng and Jiang Xu landed on the lush island.

Standing on the island, looking at the palaces with different shapes and tall walls in the distance, Jiang Xu couldn’t help but widen his eyes. “Mufeng, is there a city there?”

“En, that’s a castle, belonging to the Tianyan Clan. However, the Tianyan Clan became extinct 100,000 years ago.” At this point, Liu Mufeng sighed.

“Is that so?” Hearing this, Jiang Xu frowned.

“The cultivators of the Tianyan Clan were born skilled craftsmen, proficient in mechanism techniques, array spells and puppetry. They used to be the leaders of hundreds of clans in ancient times, but later someone discovered that the third eye of the Tianyan cultivators could be used to refine the Heavenly God Pill to assist other cultivators in raising their great realms. Therefore, the Tianyan Clan was hunted and killed by other clans. In order to get rid of the hunt, the great powers of the Tianyan Clan arranged a mobile formation on the island where they lived, so that they could move freely on the sea, escaping the eyes of those cultivators who couldn’t find them. However, no matter how powerful the Tianyan Clan was, they still couldn’t get rid of the search for their heaven’s eye. They were found by other clans in the end, and they were all slaughtered.” Liu Mufeng sighed softly at this point. The Tianyan Clan, which was once very prosperous, was murdered because of their extra eye. Perhaps, this was the fate of the Tianyan Clan.

“So that’s how it is.” Nodding, Jiang Xu expressed his understanding.

“Oh, that’s the situation.” Jiang Xu understood.

Seeing his lover who was about to walk forward, Jiang Xu hurriedly pulled him back. “Mufeng, be careful.”

Liu Mufeng smiled at his lover’s cautious appearance. “Don’t worry, there are more trapping mechanisms in the inner city, and none in the outer city. However, the outer city is also very dangerous, as there are more puppets roaming around.”

“En.” Nodding, Jiang Xu expressed his understanding. He thought to himself:If Mufeng didn’t know a lot, he would have thought that this place was full of trapping mechanisms.

After carefully recalling the description in the original book, Liu Mufeng took his wife and walked directly towards the east of the island. On the east side of the island was a sea of colorful flowers. Many unknown flowers were blooming one after another. It seemed to be the most beautiful picture.

Liu Mufeng led Jiang Xu to walk while releasing Wood Spirit Insects to pick high-level spiritual plants and spiritual flowers of the fifth and sixth levels.

Wood Spirit Insects had a natural affinity for spiritual flowers and plants, so they could pick spiritual plants very quickly. Soon it attracted the attention of several puppets.

Looking at the three half-person tall white rabbits running over, Jiang Xu’s sword immediately appeared on his hand and guardedly stood in front of Liu Mufeng.

Releasing his soul power, Liu Mufeng directly penetrated into the soul beads of the three puppets. He then immediately used his soul power to erase the soul imprints on the three puppets. The three rabbit puppets immediately stopped moving.

“Hey, they’re not moving.” Seeing that the three puppets didn’t move, Jiang Xu blinked curiously.

“These three are level five puppets. I have erased their soul imprints, as long as they are branded with my soul imprints, they will become my puppets.” After his words, Liu Mu Feng branded his soul mark on top of the soul beads of the three puppets. The three puppets obediently ran in front of Liu Mufeng.

“That’s so amazing, they look exactly like real rabbits.” As he spoke, Jiang Xu stroked the fur on the rabbits, feeling that they were really no different from ordinary rabbits.

“The people of the Tianyan Clan were all skilled craftsmen, and the puppets they made were good enough to pass off as real, and moreover, the quality is excellent. You go up and sit down, I’ll let one carry you.” As he said that, Liu Mufeng put away a rabbit and jumped on the back of another rabbit.

“Okay.” Nodding, Jiang Xu also jumped onto the back of another rabbit. The husband and wife rode rabbits and leisurely moved alongside the flower field, surrounded by Wood Spirit Insects, picking spiritual plants. The two didn’t look like they were here for treasure hunting, but rather had come out to play.

Riding on the rabbit’s back, Jiang Xu smiled from ear to ear. “Mufeng, do you think these rabbits are very powerful, much stronger than real rabbits?”

“En, they are fifth-level puppets, and their strength is equivalent to five-stars Spiritual Emperor Realm cultivators. If we were to fight, we may not be able to beat them, they are more difficult to deal with than an ordinary level five demon beast, because their skin armor is very hard and difficult to cut.” Although puppets were powerful, they had a fatal weakness, that is, the soul beads. If, as the master of puppets, your soul power was not strong enough, then your puppet was likely to be taken away by another cultivator with a stronger soul power than yours.

“That’s great.” Hearing this, Jiang Xu was even happier. Mufeng was invariably getting three more helpers.

“There are many precious sixth-level spiritual flowers and spiritual plants in this sea of flowers. Let’s collect the spiritual plants here first, and then go to other places. Ten years is enough for us to cover every inch of this island. Let’s go around.” Liu Mufeng smiled. At this time, two-thirds of the cultivators had gone to smash the city gate. Therefore, he wanted to use this time to collect all the precious spiritual flowers and spiritual plants into his hands while he could. If it was some time later, when all those cultivators had returned, it would be unlikely for him to get more spiritual plants and spiritual flowers.

“Okay.” Nodding, Jiang Xu accepted his lover’s arrangement.

A month later,

Because the gates of the inner city could not be opened, more and more cultivators left the inner city and began to look for other opportunities. At this time, more and more cultivators came to collect spiritual flowers and plants in the sea of flowers. In order to collect more fifth-level and sixth-level spiritual plants, Liu Mufeng and Jiang Xu split up and were busy collecting spiritual plants every day.

However, many cultivators followed the two of them to pick up left-overs. The fourth-level, third-level, and even second-level spiritual plants and spiritual flowers that the two of them had left behind were all divided up by other cultivators.

“Third Brother, Fourth Brother, look, that is the Sea Heart Flower, a fifth-level spiritual flower.” Looking at a fifth-level spiritual plant floating in midair, a female cultivator in red exclaimed.

Hearing this, two male cultivators at the Spiritual Master Realm looked over, and sure enough, they also saw the fifth-level spiritual flower. But they also saw insects, more than a dozen green insects were holding the spiritual flower and flying away.

“It’s so strange. Father said that there are no demon beasts in this secret realm. How could there be so many green insects?” Frowning, the blue-robed male cultivator looked confused.

“Oh, Third Brother, why care about it? It’s just a dozen insects in the Spiritual Realm, and I can deal with them by myself.” Saying that, the female cultivator flew over and killed a dozen Wood Spirit Insects that were transporting the spiritual flower with one palm, and directly grabbed the fifth level spiritual flower.

Watching the three siblings take food from the tiger’s mouth, snatching the spiritual flower and killing the insects that were transporting it, the faces of the other cultivators showed a touch of sympathy. Some even gloated a little, while others looked at the three siblings with pity and regret.

“Third Brother, I see that the eyes of other people looking at us are not quite right?” Sensing the strange looks around him, the Fourth child was at a loss.

Hearing this, the blue-robed cultivator was also confused. “Yeah, I also think they are looking at us strangely.” According to reason, they had found a fifth-level spiritual flower, and others should be envious and jealous of them, but the other cultivators had a face that showed sympathy and pity, and some even vaguely distanced themselves from them, which made the blue-robed cultivator feel very strange.

“Why do you care about them? They must be jealous of us. Third Brother, Fourth Brother, let’s go ahead and have a look.” With that said, the female cultivator was about to move forward.

“Buzz, buzz…”

“What’s that sound?” Hearing the humming sound, the female cultivator in red turned her head and saw a large swarm of blue insects with long mouths, rushing towards her from everywhere.

“Ah, ahhh…” Seeing the overwhelming number of blue insects flying towards her, the female cultivator screamed, and hurriedly took out her whip and started attacking those insects.

“What kind of insects are these? How come there are so many insects onTianji Island?” Shocked, the Fourth Oldest asked as he hurriedly stepped in to help his sister.

“It must be because our Little Sister killed those insects and provoked the other insects.” At this moment, the Third Child somewhat understood why the other cultivators looked at them with such strange eyes. It turned out that they had stabbed a hornet’s nest. Showing his knife, the Third Child hurried over to help.

The three of them were all cultivators in the Spiritual Master Realm. They were considered Masters in the Spiritual Master Realm, and they all had eight-star or nine-star cultivation bases. However, the Water Spirit Insect team was no longer the Water Spirit Insects they used to be. After thirty-five years of life at the sea, the Water Spirit Insects had benefited the most. The flesh and blood of sea demon beasts and the medicinal pills refined from sea demon beasts were great supplements for Water Spirit Insects. Moreover, in addition to sea demon beasts, Liu Mufeng also used the Treasure Compass in his hand to find many precious underwater treasures, which were also given to the Water Spirit Insects. Therefore, under the nourishment of a large number of resources, the overall strength of the Water Spirit Insects had been raised to another level. Even Xiaolan’s strength had been raised to five stars in the Spiritual Emperor Realm.
