Ch379 - Situation of the Medicinal Pool Area

Edited by Zaki

Hearing Bai Yunfei’s instructions, Elder Zhou frowned. “Young Master, this, this is inappropriate, right?”

“You don’t need to say too much, Elder Zhou, let’s go inside and chat slowly.” As he spoke, Bai Yunfei walked inside with a smile.

“Okay, okay, the three please come inside.” After saying that, Elder Zhou took the three of them directly to the small living room where he entertained guests.

In the living room, four people sat down. Elder Zhou immediately took out spiritual fruits and spiritual tea to greet everyone.

“Young Master, other people don’t know what’s going on here, but don’t you know what’s the situation here? I have twelve pools to support eleven people, and it’s hard for me. I’m afraid that Junior Brother Liu and Junior Brother Jiang would be wronged if they came to me here.” Looking at Bai Yunfei, Elder Zhou said helplessly. He had been assigned to this profitless place because he was low in strength and had no connections. But Liu Mufeng and Jiang Xu were different, these two people had such strong backgrounds, why did they come to such a place? Elder Zhou couldn’t understand this.

“Elder Zhou, don’t worry, the three-part dividend of the twelve medicinal pools belongs to you and ten of your disciples. The two Juniors won’t draw any dividends.” Bai Yunfei assured Elder Zhou.

“Ah? Then, then we can’t let the two Elders work here for nothing, huh?” You need to get dividends for managing the sect’s property, otherwise, what would the Elders eat and drink? So, this kind of thing was also a matter of course.

“Elder Zhou, it’s like this. My two Junior Brothers have obtained some inheritance in the Ruins of the Stone Clan. Junior brother Liu is now a sixth-level pharmacist. He can arrange medicinal pools by himself. The Master also agreed. The Junior Brother will arrange fifty medicinal pools in the Medicinal Pool Area by himself. From these additional fifty medicinal pools, you will get an additional 10% share of the profits, but, as usual, your ten disciples’ monthly expenses have to be taken from your side.” Looking at Elder Zhou, Bai Yunfei said so.

“Five, fifty medicinal pools? The sect wants to expand by fifty medicinal pools?” Hearing this news, Elder Zhou’s eyes lit up with excitement. The more medicinal pools there were, the more disciples would come to soak in the medicinal pools, so naturally, the more shares he would earn.

“Yes, Master has already decided to expand the Medicinal Pool Area. From now on, this area will no longer be a low profit area.” At this point, Bai Yunfei laughed.

“That’s great, Junior Brother Liu has the ability.” Elder Zhou looked at Liu Mufeng with admiration.

“Senior Brother Zhou is overpraising me.” Smiling, Liu Mufeng said modestly.

“Two Junior Brothers, in fact, our Medicinal Pool Area used to be a good place. When the sect was first established, we had more than 300 medicinal pools, and at that time, to be an Elder here, it was a fat job. But as time went by, many medicinal pools were no longer working, and the spiritual energy was slowly declining until they couldn’t be used anymore. When I became an Elder here, there were only twelve medicinal pools left.” Speaking of this, Elder Zhou sighed again and again.

“Elder Zhou, what kind of medicinal pools are the remaining twelve pools?” Liu Mufeng asked.

“Oh, ten are level 5 medicinal pools, with three Sedimentation Pools, three Bone-Replacement pools, and four Washing Pools. Two sixth-level medicinal pools are both Washing Pools. The Sedimentation Pools can settle and stabilize the cultivation base. The Bone-Replacement Pool has the effect of washing the tendons and marrow, and the Washing Pool is a kind of medicinal pool that can wash away the pill deposits from the cultivators’ meridians. At present, there are only these three kinds of medicinal pools in our area.” Elder Zhou sighed as he spoke about the situation.

“En.” Nodding, Liu Mufeng expressed his understanding. “How is the personnel distribution in our Medicinal Pool Area?”

“There are ten disciples in the Medicinal Pool Area. Four disciples are responsible for guarding the gate, registering and collecting spirit stones, and issuing waist badges. Six disciples are responsible for the daily care, maintenance and cleaning of the medicinal pools. It keeps the ten people busy.” Elder Zhou said with a smile.

“En, it’s true that there are not many people, and if any of the ten go into seclusion, there will be even less people.” It was a common thing for cultivators to go into seclusion, so the manpower of ten disciples was already very small.

“Yes, we don’t make much money here, so we don’t have many people. Ten people form two shifts, and there are two shifts at the gate. In this way, if anyone goes into seclusion or goes out to practice, there will be a replacement. The disciples for daily maintenance are also in a group of three, and the two shifts take turns.” Nodding, Elder Zhou introduced in detail.

“Elder Zhou, what does the daily maintenance of the medicinal pool include?” Liu Mufeng asked carefully.

“Oh, it’s cleaning, regularly putting spirit stones into the medicinal pool, regularly checking the spirit gathering array, and regularly replacing the mountain spring water in the pool, making sure that the water quality is fresh.”

“En.” Nodding his head, Liu Mufeng expressed his understanding.

“Elder Zhou, there are a lot of houses in our Medicinal Pool Area.” Looking at the neat rows of houses, Jiang Xu asked curiously.

“Yes, there used to be a lot of medicinal pools in here, and these rooms were all small compartments, full of medicinal pools, but now, the rows of medicinal pools in the back can’t be used. Only the remaining twelve medicinal pools in the two rows of houses in front can be used.” Having said this, Elder Zhou sighed.

“It’s okay, let’s take a look at these empty houses, these unusable medicinal pools, they will be put into use again soon.” As he spoke, Liu Mufeng pushed open a door and walked into an empty room.

“This is a double room. It used to be a Lotus Pool. It has been abandoned for many years now, and the water in the pool has dried up.” Coming to the side of the dried medicinal pool, Elder Zhou introduced it.

“Elder Zhou, how many abandoned double rooms are there here?”

“There are four rows of houses here, and there are twenty-four double rooms.” After thinking for a while, Elder Zhou answered.

“Okay, let’s use these houses. Tomorrow, I’ll find someone to repair the house and clean up the rooms. We’ll use these twenty-four double rooms to decorate the Concupiscence Pool.” After thinking about it, Liu Mufeng said so.

“Concupiscence Pool? Junior Brother Liu, what kind of medicinal pool is this Concupiscence Pool?” Elder Zhou asked in puzzlement.

“Concupiscence Pool is a medicinal pool suitable for couples to practice together, and there is no limit to the strength level of cultivators. Cultivators of any cultivation level can use it. However, it must be used by people with a partner, otherwise, it is easy to explode and die if one person soaks in the Concupiscence Pool.”

“Oh, it turned out to be the medicinal pool for couples. Then, this double room is the most suitable. If there is no limit to the cultivation level, then there must be many people who would want to come and soak.” Elder Zhou was happy with excitement. If these twenty-four pools were put into use, it would be a fortune every day.

“Let’s go, let’s take a look at the other rooms, and see what kind of medicinal pools are suitable for the other rooms.” Liu Mufeng said with a smile.

“Okay, two Junior Brothers, please.” Nodding, Elder Zhou immediately took the two of them to check other abandoned houses.

After looking around, Liu Mufeng was quite satisfied. With these old houses and abandoned medicinal pools, he could save a lot of effort. Otherwise, he would have to rebuild the medicinal pools and build the house again, it would take a lot of time.

“XiaoXu, go to the Trading Area tomorrow and hire some disciples to renovate all the houses I selected, and specially clean all the compartments; the medicinal pools should be cleaned.” Liu Mufeng said to his partner.

“Okay, leave this to me.” Nodding, Jiang Xu took over the task.

“What about me, Junior Brother Liu? I can help clean the room as well.” Looking at Liu Mufeng, Elder Zhou said with a smile.

“No, leave the house repairs and cleaning toXiaoXu, Senior Brother Zhou, you go and hire some sixth-level Array Masters, to come over and arrange a level six spirit gathering array for each of those medicinal pools I selected . For the spirit gathering array, get the spirit stones needed fromXiaoXu. In addition, after the arrays are arranged, then take the disciples to transport a mountain spring water back.” Liu Mufeng gave a set of instructions to Elder Zhou.

“Okay, find Array Master and bring back the mountain spring water. Leave these two matters to me.” Nodding, Elder Zhou confirmed.

“I will prepare the required spiritual plants as soon as possible, and we will strive to finish setting up all the medicinal pools in three months, so that all of them can be put into use.” Looking at the two of them, Liu Mufeng said his plan.

“Yes, yes, the medicinal pools should be put into use as soon as possible.” Nodding, Elder Zhou agreed, and if the medicinal pools were put into use, then he would also get a share of it. He was naturally happy to see it come to fruition.

“In addition, it’s better to recruit ten more disciples in the Medicinal Pool Area.XiaoXu and I will pay for the expenses of these ten disciples. It’s okay for the existing ten people to take care of twelve medicinal pools, but it’s not enough to manage more than sixty medicinal pools.” Liu Mufeng explained.

Elder Zhou nodded. “En, that’s true, then follow what Junior Brother Liu said, and recruit five disciples for each of the two Junior Brothers.”

“Yes.” Nodding, Liu Mufeng agreed.

“Mufeng, I don’t think ten people are enough. Why don’t we recruit twenty people?” After thinking about it, Jiang Xu felt that twenty people managing sixty-six medicinal pools was still a little less.

“Don’t worry, recruit ten disciples first, and then recruit more if there are not enough.” Smiling, Liu Mufeng said, if the business in the Medicinal Pool Area is good, it would not be a problem to support thirty disciples. However, the meal needed to be eaten bite by bite, and the road needed to be walked step by step.

“Oh.” Nodding his head, Jiang Xu understood that Mufeng was worried that the Medicinal Pool Area’s business would not be good. If there were too many people it would not be easy to raise them.
