“You’re Zhong Shen?”

Shen Yingying never imagined that the person she liked was Zhong Shen, a man who already had a fiancée. She couldn’t help but think of the moments she and Zhong Shen had spent together, only to feel that all that sweetness had turned into spiky thorns, making her heart ache.

The tears she had held back for so long came down and she laughed to herself and hung her head low to hide it, “No, I’ll go by myself.”

She ran out like a little cannonball because she was too panicked and accidentally bumped into Zhong Shen’s shoulder.

Zhong Shen was knocked sideways and took a step back. Shen Yingying herself also let out a cry of surprise and looked like she was going to fall to the ground, but Zhong Shen pulled her back, the man’s hot and strong palm holding her wrist.

Shen Yingying flushed and leapt away, nervously saying: “Thank you….”

Zhong Shen withdrew his hand and muttered a word indifferently.

Ye Wei looked at this scene and couldn’t help but praise the heroine, who worked so hard that her job was almost finished.

Wei Fengqiong was staring straight at them, furious in her heart and even more displeased with Shen Yingying. Was it so difficult to walk in this big place that she just had to bump into Zhong Shen? She clearly wanted to seduce her son-in-law!

You are too much, how dare you hit Zhong Shen in front of me! Did you do it on purpose?”

Shen Yingying hurriedly looked at Zhong Shen, afraid that he’d also misunderstood her action as intentional: “I did not, you are talking nonsense, I was just careless before I bumped into Zhong Shen……”

“You didn’t? Who believes that?”

Ye Wei’s eyes were shining as if saying ‘how did she end up running into Zhong Shen in such a big room’, and ‘how come she didn’t hit Zhou Hai who was closer to her?’ What wasn’t on purpose?

Shen Yingying blushed and defended herself: “I really bumped into Zhong Shen by accident, don’t slander me, I’m not……”

She felt that Ye Wei and Wei Fengqiong must have taken her as the kind of woman who schemed and would do anything for money. She accidentally bumped into Zhong Shen and was treated as if she was seducing him and trying to attract his attention.

She didn’t care what Wei Fengqiong and Ye Wei thought, but she cared about Zhong Shen, would Zhong Shen think so too?

Wei Fengqiong glanced at Shen Yingying, the mockery in her eyes undisguised: “Some people look simple, but their thoughts are very deep ah. All right, Weiwei, you take it easy. The doctor said you need to recuperate, you can’t get excited anymore.”

Ye Wei pretended to press her chest: “Don’t worry Mom, I’m fine, I can hold on.”

Wei Fengqiong: “……”

Zhong Shen: “……”

Shen Yingying: “……”

She finally understood what it felt like to have a mouth to speak but to be unable to absolve herself from blame, and although she was talking to Ye Wei, her eyes could not help but look at Zhong Shen: “Whether you believe it or not, I did not seduce Zhong Shen!”

Zhong Shen said: “She is an employee of my company.”

Ye Wei was noncommittal and said nothing in reply.

When Shen Yingying saw that Zhong Shen believed her, she was somewhat relieved: “Thank you. Miss Ye, I hope you won’t slander me again, I won’t admit what I haven’t done.”

Ye Wei sneered, “Shen Yingying, you’re really strange, did I say you seduced Zhong Shen? Since you brought it up, does that mean you really are trying to seduce Zhong Shen?”
