"Yura, wait a moment."
After class, someone grabbed Galaxy as she tried to leave the classroom. It was a middle-aged woman with short hair, one of the students in the same class.
"Take this."
She handed Galaxy a paper bag.
Inside, plastic containers of side dishes were stacked. Through the semi-transparent lids, you could see kimchi and pickles, among other appetizing side dishes.
Ever since she heard that Galaxy lived alone, she had been bringing her side dishes every two or three days. However, Galaxy couldn't readily accept the paper bag that was offered to her.
"I already received side dishes last time."
"Oh, don't worry. I just collected what was left over after sending some to my kids, so there's no need to feel obligated."
Saying this, she insisted on putting the bag in Galaxy's hands.
"By the way, how was the dried anchovy stir-fry I gave you last time? My daughter said it was too spicy because I put in too many chili peppers."
"No, I thought it was delicious."
"Phew! You're better than my daughter."
She chuckled and lightly patted Galaxy's back. Although it was sudden physical contact, it didn't feel unpleasant.
"…Thank you, I'll enjoy it."
Galaxy looked at her with a faint smile.

A deeply pulled-down cap and white sneakers.
Galaxy's reflection in the elevator mirror looked like any ordinary college student.
As someone once said, humans are creatures of habit. At first, it seemed very strange even to herself, but now it felt quite familiar.
It felt as if she had been living this way for a very long time. Galaxy gazed at the paper bag in her hand. The delicious smell wafted through the elevator.
