Chapter 95

"Five? You mean five giant gates will appear?"

If all five gates are Unknown Gates—.

Swallowing hard, his Adam's apple moved up and down. Yuhwan opened his mouth heavily.

"Have you reported this to the Association?"

"Not yet. This is just my 'guess.' As you know, the Korean Association doesn't act on mere 'guesses.'"

Rosé laughed bitterly and untied her loose hair tie. Her purple hair fell softly over her shoulders. With the hair tie in her mouth, she gathered her hair with her fingers.

"Koda Yun. He's a very cautious person."

After tying her hair up high, Rosé placed her hands on her knees. A moment of silence. She tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear and slowly opened her lips again.

"I plan to prepare separately from the Association."

"Is there anything I can help with?"

"I knew you'd say that, Yuhwan."

Rosé smiled. Her wine-colored eyes, curved kindly behind her rimless glasses, were one of Yuhwan's weaknesses.

"You must have heard that the Association is looking for Dark and Fire attribute Hunters, right? According to GIA's prophecy, the giant gate on the south coast is vulnerable to Dark and Fire attributes. But as you know, among the S-rank Hunters, only Kaito has Dark attribute skills."

Kaito Kang A-yeon. She would undoubtedly ignore any summons from the Association.

She would only appear if there was money to be made. She has no interest in protecting the nation or its citizens, such noble or obligatory duties.

"And for Fire attribute—"

"Trickster."

At Junhwan's mutter, Rosé nodded.

Explosives and firearms. Trickster's characteristics and skills were mainly related to these. For example, his main weapon, the bazooka, and the 'Pew missiles' he launches like fireworks, are Fire attributes.

However, Trickster has not fully recovered from the injuries sustained during the last Unknown Gate in Pohang. Although he is much better, it is uncertain whether he will be able to fight at the upcoming south coast gate.

Excluding Kaito and Trickster, there are no S-rank Hunters with Fire or Dark attribute skills. Even Rosé here is Wood (木), and Yuhwan is Earth (土).

'...Wait a moment.'

Yuhwan, lost in thought, suddenly raised his head. Dark and Fire attributes. Black fire. Black Flame.

'Would you like to join Immortal?'

'...The contract period.'
