Chapter 3

Pulling out the dagger from the neck of the mutated beast, Mu Fan wiped the blood off its body, completely ignoring the five claw marks still oozing blood on his back. He grinned.
Not bad, this was a solitary mutated beast wandering at the edge of the jungle, dangerous but not fatal. In his eyes, the blood and wounds on his body were far less important than the hundreds of kilograms of meat lying on the ground!
He had never felt full, Mu Fan reminisced with a squint. Forget it, no more thinking, filling his stomach was the priority. This food could last a few days if he saved it. He lowered his head, preparing to take his prey out.
Wait, there's a sound! A deafening sonic boom came from the sky, and the prey on the ground suddenly cast a shadow.
Mu Fan suddenly looked up, a long rainbow of flames streaked across the night sky from the horizon, piercing the earth of Loga like a sword of the gods!
Mu Fan just stared dumbfounded at the shocking fireball as it crashed into the depths of the jungle.
Wait, the depths of the jungle?
Mu Fan's eyes widened in shock. By the time he realized he might not be safe, the fireball had hit the ground, and a powerful shockwave from three kilometers away in the jungle was already rushing towards him, flattening the trees.
Mu Fan's jaw hadn't even had time to close when he was knocked to the ground with a thud.
A huge cloud of smoke rose, and the fire in the jungle extinguished. People in the city, forty kilometers away, only heard a loud noise, taking it for granted as a meteorite falling, and continued their night revels.
...
Crunch.
My teeth, can I still eat meat? A crisp sound of teeth clashing came from under the broken soil, and Mu Fan shook his head vigorously. When the two slanted tree shadows merged into one, Mu Fan's mind finally cleared.
Lying on the ground, he looked up at the now silent and dark sky, and then let out a loud cry—My meat!!
With a sudden burst of energy, Mu Fan's powerful body sprang up from the ground. This time, he ignored the new wounds and the dirt on his body, looking around. Fortunately, the meat hadn't been blown away. He sat down with relief.
"What could it be, a meteorite from outside the planet, or floating space debris?" Mu Fan's bright eyes flashed with thought. "I'll go check it out first, and come back to take it later."
Ignoring the darkness, the fierce impact had already scared away the nearby beasts. The further he went, the more trees he saw lying flat. Mu Fan moved nimbly towards the impact site.
He could already smell the burnt trees. Leaping over a massive tree, Mu Fan saw a huge, deep crater with a spider-web-like pattern, and at the center, a black egg lying quietly, occasionally sparking... "Black egg"? Yes, just a black egg. Mu Fan was satisfied with his conclusion, his limited knowledge making it hard to find a more fitting description.
Carefully sliding down the edge of the crater, Mu Fan curiously approached the black egg lying at the bottom. The occasional sparks from the black egg didn't reveal its true color. It was a dark, egg-shaped object about a meter long.
"There are electrical sparks, it must be a metal object," Mu Fan said, picking up a broken branch and tapping it. "Thud," there was space inside. He touched the leaves on the broken branch, which were warm, "Hmm, the surface temperature has cooled down."
Mu Fan extended his hands, wearing leather gloves, and pressed them against the surface of the black egg, feeling the warmth. He gently pushed it, and the black egg moved slightly in the crater.
"About 200 kilograms," Mu Fan stood up and looked around, using the surrounding dirt to cover the occasional sparks on the black egg. He clenched his fists and with a shout, lifted the black egg from the ground, then carried it on his right shoulder. With a few quick jumps, he leaped out of the crater with a strength that belied his physique, and headed straight for his prey. In the outskirts of Loga 22, no one noticed the tall figure carrying a large black egg in one hand and dragging a dead mutated beast in the other, moving through the night.
Mu Fan grinned, his eyes shining. Home, eat meat, and then see what he had found. Was this a gift from the stars?
The thick clouds of the night, enveloping the planet's heavy space debris, the remote wilderness, and the deserted edge of the jungle, perfectly concealed this small event on the distant planet.
...
0.7 light-years from Loga, at the edge of the star system, in the quiet and mysterious space, scattered debris drifted aimlessly. Deep in the asteroid belt, a huge, dark crack suddenly tore through the space, and three massive, silver warships appeared. The streamlined, smooth hulls bore no markings, but the heavy particle cannons, like dragons, and the various gun barrels protruding from the hulls, declared the terrifying combat power of these warships.
"Lord, the fleet has jumped to the outer region, we've lost them! I have failed, please punish me, Lord!" On the flagship, the captain, dressed in dark blue military uniform, knelt. In front of him stood a tall, middle-aged man in a blue uniform, with cold and stern eyes behind his glasses. The old man glanced at the kneeling captain, pausing for a few seconds. "Our Huangchuan family has been silent under the empire's banner for a hundred years. Many of the once noble families have vanished in the open and covert struggles between the empire and the federation. Prudence, hah. The nobles of the imperial planet have completely degenerated. The opportunity is now in our hands, and if we don't seize it, we won't get another chance. Thirteen, which star system is our fleet in now?"
"Lord, we have jumped to the border of the Galactic Federation, currently in a small asteroid belt, undetected by the federation. Please decide, Lord." A middle-aged officer to the right of the man quickly operated the holographic projection screen, presenting a small 3D star map to everyone.
"First, stand up. It's not the empire's henchmen, they wouldn't enter the federation's territory. We can be at ease. To avoid exposure, return and speed up preparations." The middle-aged man, known as the Lord, thought for a moment and said, "Return."
"Yes, Lord!" The captain stood up and returned to the command station to issue orders. "Activate the jump engine, 175% power, activate the Huangchuan Iron Curtain mode, load the coordinates of the first spatial node, and perform coordinate vector correction. All personnel—return!"
The black crack that had just disappeared reappeared, stretching horizontally like a giant vertical pupil. The white glow on the warships turned black, and they slowly disappeared into the crack. The vertical pupil closed, and the asteroid belt returned to its usual silence.
If there were people from the federal scientific laboratory present, they would be incredibly shocked. Small stationary space teleportation technology, which the federation had only just begun to explore, was already being used in practice. However, no one knew about this.
