Chapter 3

To exercise, one needs money, and without money, how can one exercise? Not to mention the equipment, even the energy consumption and nutritional supplements during exercise are a headache. They say the poor are literary and the rich are martial, but without money, where does one get the martial?

Although some simple methods can be used, they are clearly not suitable for him. After all, as someone who has been practicing martial arts with his grandfather for nearly twenty years, ordinary methods are not suitable for him. Even if he were to use ordinary methods to exercise, he has a magic cube in his hands, and who knows when the energy will be sufficient? When the time comes to go to another world, relying on the level of ordinary exercise is clearly not enough. To quickly improve his strength, he definitely needs to use the medicinal formulas that the old man used to train him. Although he doesn't know the price of Chinese medicine in Japan, it's definitely not something that can be managed with pocket money.

So, in the end, it all comes down to money...

Ito Sei glanced at his second sister, Ito Reina, who was not far away. Borrow money from her? Definitely not. Although he had only been in this world for less than a day, from the attitude Reina showed at breakfast, it was clear that she didn't like him. Borrow from the eldest sister? Even if she could give him some, it wouldn't be much. Clearly, this amount of money is not small. She might give him ten or twenty thousand, but a hundred thousand is out of the question. Borrow from his mother? Well, given the state of this body... hah.

After much thought, it seems he has no choice but to take the old route.

At this moment, the bus arrived. He followed the crowd onto the not-so-crowded bus heading to school.

Japan's public transportation system is quite good, and there was no traffic jam. They quickly arrived near the school. Ito Sei, Ito Reina, and some other students from the same school got off the bus and headed to the school.

"Hey, Sei!" On the way, a guy who looked like a delinquent with a bruised face walked over and patted Ito Sei on the shoulder before he could react.

"Kenji?" Ito Sei asked, his tone slightly questioning, though it was hard for others to notice.

Thinking about the person, his name is Tanaka Kenji, a delinquent from the same school and class as Ito Sei. They have a relatively good relationship, and they usually do bad things together. Thinking of this, Ito Sei's eyes suddenly brightened. This is like finding a pillow when you're sleepy. Isn't this money?

"Sei, you look good. It seems you didn't get hurt yesterday," Tanaka Kenji said, looking Ito Sei up and down.

"Didn't get hurt my ass," Ito Sei said irritably.

Speaking of yesterday's fight, Ito Sei remembered it. The cause was quite ridiculous. Ito Sei, Tanaka Kenji, and a few other guys they usually hung out with were playing outside the school when they met a few pretty girls. Being young and full of energy, they had other thoughts and acted on them.

But they didn't expect that the girls had companions, and they were all young men who had been drinking. Under the influence of alcohol, the two groups started fighting. Fortunately, although the other guys were young men, they were somewhat unsteady and slow due to the alcohol. Plus, Ito Sei's group were all young, so the fight was evenly matched. However, Ito Sei was particularly unlucky. One of the girls hit him on the head with something, and he passed out. Fortunately, he didn't suffer any physical injuries, so he didn't have to show any marks. But because of this, Ito Sei became Ito Sei.

"By the way, Kenji, do you have any money?" Ito Sei asked, composing himself. In his memory, Tanaka Kenji had some money, not a lot, but a few tens of thousands.

"What? You need money for something?" Tanaka Kenji asked in surprise, feeling in his pocket and pulling out a handful of greenish bills. He counted about 16,000 yen.

"Yeah, I need some money recently. I don't want to wait for next month's protection fee, so I was thinking of borrowing from you, Yamazaki, and Oda," Ito Sei said, nodding at the money in Kenji's hand.

"Alright, here's 15,000 yen. I'll keep 1,000. You see, I'm lending you all my money. Pretty cool, right?" Kenji said, pulling out a thousand-yen note and handing the rest to Ito Sei.

"Thanks," Ito Sei said, feeling a bit moved. He thought, this body's friends seem to have a few worth keeping.

With the money, Ito Sei felt much better. The two of them started chatting about trivial matters and admiring the legs of Japanese high school girls. Honestly, beautiful legs among Japanese high school girls are really rare!

The day passed quickly. Compared to China, Japanese high school is much more relaxed, with classes ending around 3-4 PM, followed by an hour or so of club activities. As a member of the "going home club," Ito Sei, of course, didn't participate in any clubs. He took the subway to a famous Chinese medicine store in Tokyo with the 80,000 yen he had collected from his friends.

Although Japan has Chinatowns, Tokyo doesn't. To buy medicine, he had to go to a large pharmacy nearby. Chinese medicine is quite popular in Japan; you can find many options with a quick search on Yahoo.

After about 2-3 hours, Ito Sei finally bought all the herbs he needed. The Chinese herbs were easy to find and buy, and even if some were not available, it was fine because he needed basic herbs, not particularly expensive ones. He could always buy them from Chinatown when needed. However, snake venom was hard to find, and he had to visit several places to get it.

He packed all the herbs into a large bag and headed home. By the time he got home, it was around 6 PM, clearly past dinner time.

As soon as he entered, he saw his mother, Eriko, sitting on the sofa in the living room watching TV.

"You're back," Eriko said, looking at Ito Sei.

"I'm back," Ito Sei nodded, carrying the bag inside.

"What's that?" Eriko got up and came to Ito Sei's side, intending to help him.

"Chinese medicine," Ito Sei moved away, not letting Eriko take it. Eriko didn't mind.

"What are you buying this for?" Eriko looked at her son curiously. In her memory, her son had never bought this before, and even when he got hurt from fighting, he never bought this.

"It's useful," Ito Sei didn't want to explain too much, as it didn't fit his character.

"Alright, I won't ask. You haven't eaten yet, right? I'll heat up some food for you," Eriko said, not pressing further. The items indeed smelled like Chinese medicine, so she wasn't worried.

"Thanks," Ito Sei nodded and headed to his room.

Eriko watched Ito Sei's disappearing back, frowned, and went to the kitchen to heat up the food.
