The laws of high society demand that people should not be alarmed when facing disasters, that they should think in a calm way, solve things in an unhurried manner and that they make choices elegantly. But today, with such a sharp turn of events and not only the students present, even the aristocrats, who boast of their knowledge, can’t help being curious and talking in a low voice. And the artists, Oh God, look at their eyes. They must have wished that there’s paintbrushes with delightful music to express their uncontrollable passion!
But what does the mood of the bystanders have to do with our protagonist? They’re hot-blooded and also crowd-actors, and the camera only sweeps across the background when needed, so the focus at this point remains on our silent protagonists.
Momo looked up at Na Ze, who was holding herself, a little frightened, his face expressionless but full of anger, and if this was a cartoon Momo had no doubt that Na Ze’s every strand of hair would stand up straight; if this were a martial arts film, then Na Ze would now be seen to be swinging his inner strength and making his black clothes flutter; but this is an urban romance film, ah, exactly, an urban romance vampire film, vampire? Momo, who was originally still unable to find a direction, turned quick-witted. Now, what kind of scene is this? The vampire versus humans in a duel, a vampire and dracula in four hundred years?!
“Auston, you come here–” Na Ze’s divine ‘countenance’ swept an indifferent glance at Aesir and Peter, and suddenly opened his mouth, Momoo was so frightened that she immediately interrupted him incoherently: “Na Ze, ah, that, let’s go home! Oh hahaha, I’m so hungry, they don’t have to— say hello one by one, we don’t know each other well, no, no, they’re all my classmates, we know each other well…..”
“Oh, my God, are you kidding me?” Aesir fought to shake off Peter’s bonds, she couldn’t stand being shielded by these men any longer, “I don’t know you, this lowly woman, what are you afraid of! Afraid I’ll reveal in front of your husband that you are seducing another man?! No, haha, I think it must be a wrong guess, the man behind you must not be your husband; but, can he pay the compensation for my dress, or, by your poor husband?”
“I, he, you–” Momo was so anxious that she didn’t know where to begin, how could there be such a self-righteous woman in the world!
“Momo,” Suddenly, Naze’s low laughter came from above her head, her jaw lightly rubbed against her bangs, seeming to be in a much better mood, “I’m curious how you introduced myself as your husband to others, but before that, I think we need to sort out some trouble.”
“Huh?!” Everyone turned shocked.
“Auston.” Na Ze gave Momo a reassuring look, his tone turning soft and gentle.
“Yes, Young Master.” Auston stepped out from behind the side, an old man with a flowery beard and a sedate, stoic bearing.
“How long will it take to transfer all of my shares in LAVA Belgium and its global subsidiaries to Madam’s name?”
The entire cast turned into a cold shock, gosh, the world’s largest jewelry company, shares all being transferred!
“It’s about two and a half days.”
“Well, good then,” Na Ze released the hand that was holding Momo, and instead wrapped it around her waist, turning slightly sideways to Aesir, who had already stiffened, “This lady, in three days, we husband and wife will meet with you in court. While that possibility is so tiny, I still need to state for the record that if compensation is really needed, I think my wife will do just fine on her own and won’t need the help of her poor husband.”
“What does LAVA do?” Momo tugged on Na Ze’s sleeve and uttered words that made people wonder whether to laugh or cry, “Seems to sound pretty ridiculous and fake.”
“The one who makes clothes and jewelry,” Na Ze replied as he pinched her nose, avoiding the issue, then changed the subject, “Now can you tell me how you introduced your husband, me, to others?”
“I-“
“Mo, Momo,” Mirna said while turning back from time to time and carefully moving to Momo’s side, “is he really your husband?”
Momo looked behind Mirna, it was really the group of losers who were encouraging Mirna to find out the inside story, she was instantly relieved. Truthfully, she was really afraid that this form of kindness from her with hidden intentions would affect their friendship. But from how it is going, she probably thought too much. “Yes!”
“Didn’t you say your husband was a normal person?” Mirna straightened up.
“But I didn’t say he wasn’t handsome!”
“I thought you said he was freelancing!” Penelope rose red in the face and bubbled up as well.
“Be the boss yourself, how can you not be free!”
Looking at her with a very reasonable look, Xia Yunzhen, the mastermind behind it, finally couldn’t resist and rushed to the front, crackling and shouting in Chinese. “Damn you, Momo! Your husband loves you so much, what’s the matter with you coming out to work?”
“You’re also Chinese, you should know a saying-” Momo’s expression immediately became extremely innocent and her voice was a bit miserable.
Xia Yunzhen froze. “What?”
“A married woman saves her own money, I’m making my own money, hey, what’s wrong with that?”
Xia Yunzhen completely stormed off. “What’s wrong with you? Don’t hide if you can, I’ll beat you up, you little pig head, or I’ll follow your surname Mo!”
Momo hid in Na Ze’s arms and laughed wildly, ”Haha, yeah, yeah, come on, come on! But, you’re wrong oh, I’m not surnamed Mo, you must not be able to guess what my last name is….”
“Shan,” Peter, who had been silent as a puppet and was unresponsive even when Aesir shook his hand, suddenly unconsciously interfaced, staring tremblingly at his hands as if he didn’t know what he was saying either, “Shan, it’s Shan…….”
The mumbling made Momo who had been ignoring him, stand up in a panic, unbelief written all over her clear face, he said her last name was Shan, he knew her last name was Shan? Since the death of her parents, she had never told, never told anyone except the director of the orphanage! “What did you say, say it again?”
“Shan, Shan’s spirit.” Pei Di slowly lifted his head and stared at the shocked Momo, her eyes going from bewilderment to scrutiny to sobriety, as if she wanted to see through her whole being. Just when Momo felt that she was about to be stared at by everyone, Pei Di’s pale face lifted up a smile on all sides.
Looking into those fond eyes, Momo bit her lip tightly, but the tears couldn’t stop falling, is this another decade? But, “Who are you again?”
