Chapter 38

As Luo Feng continuously fired off his Qi Bullets, although Ryan could attack with both hands simultaneously, he could only barely match him. Moreover, Luo Feng not only had strong explosive power but also a very enduring Qi. Although he only had Second Rank Qi, the consecutive firing of Qi Bullets did not reduce their power at all. On the other hand, Ryan's Qi Bullets were slightly weaker than before, a sign of his Qi state declining, making him even more anxious.

Damn, how can this kid be so strange, it's really unscientific!

If this continues, it won't do. After fighting with Thomas earlier, his Qi was somewhat depleted. Moreover, this kid's Qi endurance was surprisingly long. It would be impossible to wear him down. It seems I need to use a powerful move to knock him down in one go.

Just as Ryan was about to act, Luo Feng fired off two more Qi Bullets. This wasn't the problem; then he pushed his hands forward, and a large Qi Ball was released.

Qi Rush!

The crowd couldn't help but stir. This common Lower Blue Rank combat technique wasn't surprising when used by Thomas, as he already had Fourth Rank Qi. However, Luo Feng only had Second Rank Qi, and at such a low level, it was very difficult to learn Qi Rush.

Luo Feng's figure darted like an arrow, following the large Qi Ball towards Ryan. Clearly, he also wanted to take advantage of the suppression from Qi Rush to attack Ryan.

However, the crowd was very worried because Thomas had already set a precedent. Ryan's combat technique was too strong, capable of turning defense into offense. Qi Rush would be useless against him.

Unless Ryan's Qi was almost depleted and he couldn't use that powerful move anymore.

Realizing Luo Feng's sudden attack, Ryan was not alarmed but rather pleased.

Heh heh, this kid must be at the end of his rope, forced to change his advantageous tactics and take a risky move. That's even better.

After simultaneously neutralizing Luo Feng's two Qi Bullets, Ryan's Qi was already under some strain. However, he shouted and the layer of Qi around him expanded again, reaching Fifth Rank.

Since I've already broken my promise by using a higher rank, I might as well go all out. No matter what, I can't lose to this kid!

The Qi that had temporarily weakened due to the two Qi Bullets was now fully replenished. The coiling Qi once again wrapped around Ryan's arms, the starting stance of Ascending Dragon.

The crowd couldn't help but exclaim. If Ryan still had the strength to use this powerful move, Qi Rush would be useless, and he could instantly turn the tide of the battle.

A hint of satisfaction flashed in Ryan's eyes. He deliberately waited until Luo Feng was very close before suddenly releasing a higher rank of Qi. The Ascending Dragon move was fast, and this distance was an excellent range for a strike.

Heh heh, kid, even if you know I can still use Ascending Dragon, you can't run away.

Facing Ryan, who could use Ascending Dragon again, Luo Feng did not retreat but advanced. Qi surged like a stream, forming a large hand with his right palm, which suddenly expanded ten times.

The lowest rank Blue Tier combat technique—Large Hand Seal!

This unexpected change surprised the crowd again. This lowest rank combat technique was generally abandoned because it was too difficult to master and required too much time and effort. However, Luo Feng had managed to learn it.

Compared to Qi Bullets, the Large Hand Seal, which had a shorter range, was more powerful. Although it wasn't as strong as Qi Rush, the combination of Large Hand Seal and Qi Rush made the outcome unpredictable.

Ryan was taken aback and inwardly cursed. Damn, this kid even mastered the Large Hand Seal!

Hmph, my Ascending Dragon is the strongest. Even if it's Qi Rush and Large Hand Seal, I'll break through them!

With a powerful step, Ryan leaped up, using the dragon-shaped Qi to shatter Qi Rush and meet the Large Hand Seal.

"Bang!"

The two Qi forces collided. The dragon-shaped Qi tried to soar high, while the Large Hand Seal tried to push it down. Neither side gave in, but ultimately, Ryan's Ascending Dragon was slightly stronger. Although Qi Rush had reduced its power, it still overpowered the Large Hand Seal, which shattered. The dragon-shaped Qi also shrank to the size of a small snake but still remained.

It's over, Luo Feng is going to lose!

The area where the Year 1, Class 8 students were gathered was filled with sighs. Although it was a pity, Luo Feng had fought Ryan to this extent, and even if he lost, he would still bring honor to his class.

Ryan, on the other hand, was overjoyed. Hahaha, my Ascending Dragon is still the strongest. Kid, lose to me. When I step on you, people will remember not my broken promise but that I am the stronger one!

Luo Feng, whose Large Hand Seal had been broken, was not surprised at all. He took a deep breath and, taking advantage of the momentary pause when the Large Hand Seal suppressed Ascending Dragon, gathered Qi in his foot, forming a large hammer, and kicked towards Ryan.

The lowest rank Blue Tier combat technique—Hammer Kick!

This was another difficult combat technique to master, perhaps even more so than the Large Hand Seal, as most warriors at this stage were not very skilled in leg techniques.

Even fewer people had mastered both the Large Hand Seal and the Hammer Kick. In the history of Starlight Academy, there were probably only a few who had achieved this. However, now, a student with only Second Rank Qi from the worst foundation class had mastered them.

This sudden change caused a stir in the crowd, and Ryan's pupils contracted. He couldn't believe his eyes.

Hammer Kick, how is that possible? Is this kid a monster?

The immense force from Luo Feng's foot told Ryan that he wasn't dreaming.

The Hammer Kick, as its name suggests, was a heavy kick like a hammer, with power not inferior to the Large Hand Seal.

The dragon-shaped Qi, which had shrunk to the size of a small snake, was finally shattered by this kick. Luo Feng's foot landed heavily on Ryan's shoulder, sending him flying several meters away.

"Ah, my shoulder!" Clutching his right shoulder, Ryan screamed in pain. His shoulder bone had been shattered by Luo Feng's Hammer Kick, and he was rolling on the ground in agony.

Luo Feng walked up to him and lifted his foot.

Ryan closed his eyes in despair, finally understanding the humiliation Thomas had suffered.

Stomp!

Luo Feng's foot landed, but it didn't step on Thomas. Instead, it landed on the ground beside his face: "Too bad, I'm not a bastard, so I won't do such a thing!"

Leaving these words, Luo Feng walked off the stage. As he passed Thomas's roommate, Leopold, he stopped: "Are you not convinced? No problem, come on, even a round-robin match is fine!"

Leopold was intimidated by his aura and subconsciously shook his head.

What a joke, not to mention that even Thomas, who was slightly stronger, had lost. Even if Luo Feng had used more Qi, if I could win, it would still be a disgrace, and losing would ruin my reputation, making it hard to hold my head up in Starlight Academy.

Luo Feng coldly snorted: "Since that's the case, take your bastard roommate and get lost!"

Staying any longer would only make things more awkward, so Leopold ran up to the stage, helped Thomas, and left the scene in a hurry.

When Luo Feng returned to where the Year 1, Class 8 students were, they were like they had just woken from a dream and immediately cheered.

When Luo Feng stepped onto the stage, they never dared to hope he could win against Ryan. Even at the last moment, when Luo Feng used the Hammer Kick, they still thought he would lose.

However, Luo Feng had truly defeated Ryan, giving him a harsh lesson. A Second Rank Qi student against a Fifth Rank Qi student, a victory of a foundation class over an elite class, was truly incredible!

"Luo Feng, you're really amazing, even Ryan is no match for you!"

"Look at that guy, he must be so embarrassed now!"

"From now on, even the elite class won't dare to look down on us in the foundation class. Luo Feng, you really did a great job!"

"..."

Surrounded and praised by the crowd, Luo Feng was a bit overwhelmed.

He was already satisfied with the courage he had shown, which had been recognized by his classmates. However, now, their tone contained not only recognition but also respect, the respect for a stronger companion who had brought honor to the group.

Although a bit embarrassed, this feeling was really quite nice, heh heh.

Kru grumbled: "Luo Feng, since Ryan was so despicable, why didn't you step on him to avenge Thomas?"

Luo Feng smiled faintly: "When we are bitten by a dog, there's no need to bite the dog back."

"Ha ha, Luo Feng is right!" Thomas was also very happy: "There's no need to hold a grudge against a dog, lest it lower our status!"

Although he had won, Luo Feng was not arrogant, and this demeanor made the other students even more admiring.

Finally managing to separate the crowd, Luo Feng pulled his roommate aside and couldn't help but complain: "Hey, Aaron, what were you doing just now?"

Aaron blinked: "What, giving you a chance to be a hero? Look, now you're the hero of Class 8. Shouldn't you thank me?"

Luo Feng was a bit embarrassed: "But you couldn't have done it so suddenly. Even if you wanted me to do this, we should have discussed it first."

Aaron pouted: "Oh, you're so talkative. By the time we had discussed it, someone else would have stepped up. I saw Kru couldn't hold back just now. If we had lost to Ryan again, that bastard's arrogance would have grown even more. If you were the third to step up and won, it wouldn't have been as glorious, right?"

Luo Feng, who wasn't as eloquent as his roommate, could only give up: "Uh, okay, you do have a point."

Aaron chuckled: "Of course, everything I do has a reason!"

Although he was smiling, Aaron was filled with surprise.

He and Luo Feng were roommates during the pre-training camp at Starlight Academy, and he knew everyone in Class 8 well.

However, since the end of the training camp, they hadn't seen each other for a few days, so Aaron wanted to see if Luo Feng had changed and pushed him to fight.

This kid's improvement speed is really astonishing. In just a few days, he even learned Qi Rush and Hammer Kick!

Compared to this, his combat experience had clearly improved significantly. He no longer used combat techniques rigidly but performed various basic movements more cleanly and crisply, knowing how to move appropriately in battle. The seamless combination of several combat techniques left no room for Ryan to catch his breath.

It seems that President Luciana has taught him a lot, but Luo Feng has also learned very quickly!

I'm glad I had the old man arrange for him to be my roommate. This kid is getting more and more interesting.

Alright, I'll continue to watch and see how many more surprises you can give me!
