Chapter 48

【Chapter 2, and Chapter 3, today is already Sunday, after midnight, it will be the time for the rankings to change. Flowers are very important for the rankings, everyone, you must save your flowers for the thief!!】

Although this move did not gain any advantage, Gorin was not in a hurry.

Luo Feng, now I always have the initiative. No matter how exquisite your combos are, there will be a time when you slip. I want to see just how good your luck is!

His thoughts were indeed correct. Although Luo Feng's moves were impressive and astonishing, they only allowed him to narrowly resolve crises, always passively countering. This fundamentally could not pose a threat to Gorin.

Although his fighting spirit endurance was astonishing, even more enduring than Gorin's, if he were to use a wearing-down strategy, he could wear Gorin down. However, the premise was that he could drag it out to the end.

Luo Feng's judgment was already quite good, but he still could not guarantee that he could successfully deal with each sudden change as he did just now.

If he were to get injured at any point, the other party would take the opportunity to launch a fierce attack and knock him down in one go.

Therefore, a wearing-down strategy would also be useless.

To win this battle, he had to—turn defense into offense!

So Luo Feng moved, rushing towards Gorin, but not in a straight line. As he ran, he constantly changed his trajectory.

Gorin immediately understood his intention. Realizing that long-range attacks were not in his favor, this kid planned to get close to fight, as he had many tricks for close combat.

If it were anyone else, this tactic might have been effective, but I am Gorin. Don't be naive, is it that easy?

Gorin attacked again, using the Crescent Slash.

Truly a well-educated person with a solid foundation, Gorin's attacks were fast, accurate, and fierce, and his judgment was spot on. The crescent-shaped golden light immediately locked onto him.

Clearly, Luo Feng's change in direction did not dazzle him.

Luo Feng clasped his fists, and the fighting spirit energy burst out, extending like a large club, striking down on the Crescent Slash from above.

Blue Rank Lower Tier Combat Skill—Heavy Collapse!

The "Heavy" in it is the characteristic of this move. Its striking force is even heavier than a hammer kick.

"Bang!"

The air club landed heavily on the Crescent Slash, but the golden light did not shatter. After all, the metal attribute is known for its sharpness and hardness, and Gorin's was a specialized secret skill.

The purpose of Heavy Collapse is not direct attack but suppression. Striking the opponent heavily would make their body stiff, allowing for better follow-up attacks.

However, this is how most people use Heavy Collapse. In other aspects, Heavy Collapse still has other uses.

The Crescent Slash was slightly delayed due to this impact, which was the result Luo Feng wanted to see.

It was just a very brief moment, not enough for him to escape the range of the crescent golden light, but at this moment, Luo Feng's feet sprang, like a spring, accelerating sharply.

Blue Rank Lower Tier Combat Skill—Spring Step!

This is a light skill combat technique, its function is to accelerate. Many warriors practice it to improve themselves, as combat is not just about attacking; movement is also very important. However, Luo Feng's Spring Step acceleration was clearly faster than most people at the fighting spirit stage, barely avoiding the golden light of the Crescent Slash.

And it didn't stop there.

With another step, Luo Feng's movement trajectory suddenly changed, forming a V-shape, and he sprang towards Gorin again.

V-shaped Spring Step!

Gorin's heart was greatly shaken. In fact, the V-shaped Spring Step is not a single combat skill but a combination of two Spring Steps. For high-stage fighting spirit warriors, it is not difficult to perform two Spring Steps in succession, but the difficulty lies in making a high-speed change of direction between the two Spring Steps. This is not something an ordinary person can accomplish. If at the fighting spirit stage, it would be almost impossible unless the warrior has already awakened the wind attribute.

However, for the Instant Shadow Warrior, one of the Ten Supreme Beings, the V-shaped Spring Step is an extremely simple technique. Even though Luo Feng has not yet awakened the wind attribute, as long as he follows the light skill secrets taught by the Instant Shadow Warrior and combines them with the Ancient Heaven-Reversing Technique, learning it is not difficult.

The most significant effect of this combined light skill combat technique is to avoid frontal attacks and counterattack the target in the shortest time, not much slower than a straight-line advance, making it very useful.

When Gorin saw Luo Feng perform the V-shaped Spring Step, he knew it was not good.

Taking advantage of the high-speed advance of the Spring Step, he took one step and covered six meters, reaching Gorin's side. Luo Feng lifted his foot, and the fighting spirit energy surged, sweeping from left to right towards Gorin's waist.

Blue Rank Lower Tier Combat Skill—Sweeping Thousand Armies!

Luo Feng's attack angle was very tricky, and the range was wide. Gorin had no way to dodge and did not have time to use the Crescent Slash. However, with his extensive combat experience, he did not panic. He increased his fighting spirit energy to the sixth stage, concentrating it in his arm, forming a golden circular shield like a full moon, blocking his waist.

Blue Rank Intermediate Combat Skill—Full Moon Shield!

"Bang!"

The golden circular shield shattered, and Gorin was swept away by Luo Feng's kick, staggering back seven or eight steps. The Full Moon Shield absorbed much of the impact, so he did not suffer significant damage, but his waist felt a slight pain.

It had to be admitted that his reaction was quick, and his combat skills were well-rounded, even mastering defensive combat skills. If it were anyone else, even with the same level of fighting spirit, they would likely have been knocked down by Luo Feng's kick. This is another advantage of well-educated warriors, something that cannot be reflected by the level of fighting spirit.

The battle was almost over, and the people of Class 8 could not help but feel a bit regretful, but they were more excited.

It turned out that Gorin was not as dominant as they thought, and he was even hit by the class leader, almost losing.

The expression of Gortat, who was watching from the sidelines, became very serious. When Luo Feng first showed his high strength that did not match his fighting spirit level, he was not too concerned, but when the battle with his proud son became a close match, he could no longer ignore it. He also understood the reason for Lucia's choice of Luo Feng.

This kid may not be a force to be reckoned with now, but his potential is truly terrifying. If this continues, he will eventually become a major threat!

The appearance of the V-shaped Spring Step, a highly effective combined movement, changed the situation. Luo Feng could use Heavy Collapse to gain time and then counterattack with the V-shaped Spring Step, making Gorin very cautious. His attacks were no longer as smooth as before, while Luo Feng, who had taken the initiative, began to turn defense into offense, chasing and attacking Gorin.

If it came to close combat, Gorin definitely could not match Luo Feng. Luo Feng had too many tricks, such as the Great Hand Seal, Hammer Kick, Sweeping Thousand Armies, and Heavy Collapse, all of which were advantageous in close combat. Although Gorin's combat skills were also well-rounded, there was still a difference compared to this oddity taught by the Ten Supreme Beings.

As the battle continued, Luo Feng became more and more at ease, while Gorin was completely suppressed. Thanks to the Full Moon Shield, he managed to avoid several of Luo Feng's heavy blows. Although he did not lose immediately, he was in a very awkward position.

Seeing Luo Feng take the upper hand, the people of Class 8 were even more excited.

"Hehe, I told you, the class leader has a chance to win. You all underestimated him!"

"What chance to win? The class leader clearly has a greater chance now. Haven't you seen how he is showing his might? Gorin has no way to counter!"

"Right, I never thought the class leader would learn so many combat skills, even mastering the V-shaped Spring Step!"

"Even if Gorin's metal attribute has awakened, combat is not just about who has the stronger fighting spirit. The class leader's practical skills are much more proficient!"

"..."

Compared to the enthusiasm of Class 8, the people of Class 2 were silent. They originally thought that Gorin would win this battle with overwhelming advantage, regaining their pride. Now, it seemed that it would not be so easy. Luo Feng was too difficult to deal with, not only learning a wide variety of skills but also mastering them well. They could not understand where he found the time to learn so many combat skills and use them so effectively in combat, fully utilizing their characteristics.

A terrifying thought emerged in their minds: Could it be that our prestigious class representative will lose to a basic class? How will Class 2 hold its head up in the Starlight Academy in the future?

Before the battle, Gorin never imagined that he would fall into such a predicament. The words of the people of Class 8 only fueled his anger.

Damn it, how can I lose? I am the young master of the Bond Trading Company, the top student of the prestigious class, and one of the best first-year students at Starlight Academy. How can I be defeated by a basic class student? You are all dreaming!
